Regarding signing the contestants who don't make it as trainees, while it makes sense for contestants on K-Pop audition shows, it's trickier than it sounds in this case because this is probably the only American-based group the company has any plans for in the near-future, and these are all North American contestants, so as new trainees not in this group, they would be expected to uproot their lives to live in Korea, learn Korean, and train to debut for a Korean-speaking group in Korea, with really low chances of even ending up in a group. Gina was apparently willing to do that (and already speaks Korean), but it would be a massive risk/commitment/culture shock for anyone else.
Also, the standards for American talent who want to be in a K-Pop group are probably lower than the standards of regular K-Pop trainees in Korea (since it's such a big part of the culture that they groom from an early age). The 17 year olds in particular might be too old to realistically start being new Korean trainees.
It's probably smarter and makes more sense for any rejected contestants to look for other performing opportunities in America instead.

Thanks for the comment & thanks for watching 😄. Been slack on responding to comments so apologies for a late response.
You do make a good point, signing the eliminated contestants wouldn’t make much sense since they would most likely have no plans for them to debut but does seem like a shame for the eliminated contestants that their dreams end there. Saying that there is only one contestant eliminated so far so things might not be so bad. I do wonder if the talent would be good enough to pursue music if they are eliminated from this show.
I feel like the standard would be the same for all talent, Korean or American since it is JYP but it would be harder for them to adjust to the Korean style. These girls seem to be doing well at adjusting to that standard or at least it seems that way.

@@kiwireacts5116 To be clear, I don't mean that they would have different standards depending on nationality. I just mean that it's probably more competitive to get into the training program in Korea than it is for contestants to get onto this show. For example, if Yuna, who lacks both singing and dancing skills and is already 17-18, hypothetically never joined this show and instead directly tried to become a JYP trainee in Korea, I suspect that they wouldn't have much interest and would think it's too late for her to be worth the investment.
They're more willing to take on older, less polished long-term projects (based on potential) for this show than they normally would because there's less K-Pop interest/culture/early training in America.
I think the only exceptions would be Kaylee (since she's so young), Camila (since she's so polished/well-rounded already), and obviously Gina.
