This video explains how to shift the eaton fuller 13 speed transmission. The shift pattern is identical to the 9 speed pattern, however when in the high range you have the ability to split the gears into a low and high range.
This is a very simple video. As soon as I come across another 9sp I will post a video showing the similarities.

@@samirastone2479 pretty much or basically 8-speed in that aspect. Heck even when driving a 13 speed when empty you don't really have to use the selector as long as you push a little higher rpms before shifting, just shift it like its basically only got 8 speeds.

Something that wasn't covered, make sure to have around the proper RPM when shifting, give or take 100-150 RPMs, more or less if shift up or down hill respectively.
    1st Gear - 1200RPM
    2nd Gear - 1300RPM
    3rd Gear - 1400RPM
    4th Gear - 1500RPM
    5th through 8th Gear - 1700RPM.
    When down shifting, remember this:
CLUTCH - NEUTRAL - GAS - GEAR (CNGG).
Remember to have the RPM's down to at least 900-1000. More or less when going up or down hill.

Had been almost a year since driving so I assumed I was just messing up and not remembering the speeds for the gears. Realized it had a splitter and found your video - what a relief! Now I gotta get out and see if I can shift it right! Splitter was in low and I kinda thought my RPS's were a little high for cruising at 70 MPH. RPM: You shift up when your RPM reaches 15-16 and you have to shift to next quickly before RPM goes below 10-12. If it doesn't accept the next shift. Press the gas pedal in neutral rolling and built RPM to 15 then move to next gear.
Downshift: Practice to understand what gear transmission accepts on what speed. Generally above 80 kmps - 12/13 (8 hi-low) | 60 kmps - 10/11 (7 hi-low) | 40 kmps - 9/10 (6 hi-low) | 20 kmps - 6/7/8/ (5 hi-low or 4), below that you try to put in 3rd gear if there is no load, with heavy load, better stop and put in first gear to start again.
RPM on downshift: Shift neutral on 11-12, then hit gas pedal to build RMP to 14-15. Then shift next with released gas pedal.

I’ve been driving for 9 years both auto and manual, and just started a new job with an 18 speed Eaton. Even though I know how to split, I just for some reason needed to see this as absolute 110% confirmation there is something wrong with this new transmission. Every time I split from say 5th direct (low) to 5th over (high) it doesn’t want to catch the split and will bottom all the way down to idle unless I’m on the throttle to catch it. It’s like the synchro is off. It’s like it’s falling through the gear/split. Doesn’t matter if I do a quick in and out, shift faster or slower, doesn’t matter if I pre select or select mid shift (like on how some trucks I find it easier to select my range valve hi/low going from 4th to 5th or vice versa. The split shift falling through happens is almost every gear all the way from the bottom to the top and clunks more often than not, because it’s like it’s not ready for or is slamming the split gear I’m trying to select.

Thank you for this information. I am still on clear about a couple of things. I have been driving a 10 speed truck for many years and they just put me in a 13 speed. So when using years one through five, should be high/low switch always be in a certain position? And you do not need the clutch at all when using the high/low selector right?

I assume you're not using the clutch because I see that your left foot remains on the ground. If you were using the clutch would anything change? this was real helpful to me I've been driving a 10-speed Sterling for the last 4 months and tomorrow I got to drive a Kenworth that has the red split on the side and have never used it before. I got someone trying to explain it to me but this was the best I've seen so far, thank you so much

I've watched several different videos on 13 and 18 speed . If anyone wants to learn this is by far the best not much difference between the 13 and 18 just a few more gears but works the same way

Thank you! It's been a while since I've driven a 13 & the company I'm going to has a 13 & 18. The 18 was gonna be my next piece of research.

You don’t have to go in high high on every gear to downshift once you come out of 8h u can go 7L 6L 5L that’s the easiest way
