Yeah !!! Epi's rocking it ! Jeez, 150th anniversary. A few here that i love. Also a, IBZ RR Rr which is like a '58 but ash. Still killer. guess i'm set,,,,only played an Explorer once. Since i don't gig much these days, i'm sitting down. This was like playing a coffee table or something. The Firebird took some getting used to, so... Hats OFF to Epiphone !!
Epi's have always sounded good or better with the same internals. The Epi custom shop guitars sound phenomenal! These guitars can play on old amp distortion and new amp/pedals and sound fantastic. Make her purrr or make her shred and scream! A fine instrument.
This is very cool. Last year I got an American Musical Supply “exclusive” Epiphone 1958 Korina Explorer. Mine has a black pickguard (which I prefer) and came with gold Grover tuners. The pickups and electronics were the older stock pickups, so I replaced them with a set of Probucker’s and also put in some better pots and an orange drop capacitor-that guitar rips now! That being said-these are super cool. Glad to see them going beyond the Les Paul. Although, I’d still love to see a Epiphone/Custom Shop Les Paul Custom….
I really like demos that use tones that let you hear the guitar. This was well done by that measure. I wish all would start this way, then get crazy to show off the guitar.
I have had both Gibson custom shops. A Korina Exploer and a Korina Flying V. I kept the Explorer because for me is was more balanced and not overly bright!
Good man. I got the two V's, the two explorers, ebony custom, cherry red pauls, Sheretons etc etc etc, love em. I wish days were longer so that i could play all of them every day!
two things for the nice people at Epiphone -why cant I seem to find the black pick guard version in stores? -can the 2024 (Epiphone custom shop) model be a 1956-57 Les Paul in satin Gold with Gibson P90's
I think this was their way of not going too close to the genuine Gibson. They’re basically dialling it back. I have the 59 Les paul which is the same finish. I didn’t love it when I bought it so I put it out in the sun for an hour here and there. The stain sheen came off or more accurate it is less present. And now looks f…g phenomenal!
You’re touting the affordability of the guitars while using a mesa boogie amp worth more than the guitar. The amp and speaker are arguably where the most tonal differences come from. You should be demoing these guitars with amps at affordable price points equivalent to the target audience.
I can buy an Actual Gibson SG standard or Les Paul Studio for that price here in Australia. Or for a few hundred dollars more a Gibson Les Paul standard. Also a Gibson Les Paul Tribute is like $1000 cheaper. What's your deal Epiphone? You're going to end up being fined for price fixing.
Maybe you ought to see who's making them the China facility is American owned completely and run by Americans..sometimes it's best to know what you're actually taking about before you say anything
@breadedkat729 well then you Gibson boys start getting right about Epiphone and you won't have to worry about being corrected or anything else..many of us have been waiting a very long time for the legendary Epiphone to be returned to top professional quality..and that time came in 2019..get use to it it's not going to ever change again...

Epiphone is doing such a fine job for the past couple of years! Amazing quality
We appreciate you!
Happy 150th birthday Epiphone your incredible
Took me a while but I finally got both, 1958 is my birth year so these have a special place for me!
I only wish Les Paul lived long enough to see his beloved Epiphone returned to top professional quality..Rest in peace Les Paul 🙏
Yeah I gotta have one of these Korina explorers beautiful guitars
Congratulations Gibson-Epiphone. You guys are really doing a hell of a job!!!
Can’t wait to see them.

Thank you and the brand for 150 years. G.O.A.T.
Thanks for the lefties 🤘🏻🤘🏻
I played both last weekend at GC. While I really want the V I can't deny the Explorer played and sounded better.
Yes yes yes

Need more of Epiphones original line

absolutely amazing guitars! but we need Epiphone Les Paul with P90 pickups, that would be fantastic!
Geeze, Epiphone stepping it up, thx Gibson, well done guys…
Epiphone is the one to be thanked and the New owner of Gibson..

Just got the explorer version and it’s a stunning playing guitar. Would love the v when the funds are available
My wallet was just asking me to spend money, what good timing
Nice Epiphone Dinesh Lekhraj!
I have had both Gibson custom shops. A Korina Exploer and a Korina Flying V. I kept the Explorer because for me is was more balanced and not overly bright!
That's awesome! The Explorer is a great choice.
@@OfficialEpiphone Thank you
Miss me all the way with those price tags.
Where's the Moderne with the Gumby headstock?
Loving what Epiphone are doing. I bought 9 of them in the past two years 😂🤦♂️

Certainly looks the part…like the59 Les Paul epiphone very decent for the buck…thru a decent tube amp yr in the area for sure..good pickups too..
Which one do you recommend ?
Sharkfin model would be interesting
Like how the subtly name drop “The Edge” in their description of The Explorer

Only its Korina vineer
Good grief. Prices just keep going higher and higher and higher. $1300 dollar Epiphones and $600 dollar Squiers. Who would have thunk it? Cheers!
the guitar case extremely big , gibson is that big too..?
How about a 12 string usa made frontier?
the V in crunch sounds better to me through the speaker, more bite
Bonamassa V will take a hit with these on the market.
I'v got 3 Korina V including a Bonamassa ... (with SD Amos pickups and Faber Bridge) -> I think the bonamassa is still far ahead
@@OliiilO How come?
Irresistible guitars.... I've gone for the v.
Only one remark: too bad you made them satin! A glossy thinner poly would have been great! Otherwise they seem very good.

I prefer the V because of the Goofy logo on the headstock 👍
Me too I need another Vi think 🤘
nice mop hairdo bro
Why No Love For The Dove , Orange just don`t cut it !

No Moderne ?!? 😒
I don't trust this guy just based off of how he blinks.
No Nitro.
Who cares it's the professional quality that counts and Epiphone has it all..
@@BlueberryStinkFinger62 I like the way Nitro ages.
Too expensive, I will never buy these.
Ordered one and sent it right back. Looks and feels cheap. Inferior Chinese made junk!
For this price I can buy myself four new Squier Classic Vibe Telecasters. Is this some kind of joke? 😆
Go buy a Squier then they can't touch epiphone in quality
Do what you want, no one cares.
$1300 made in China... And not even a rosewood fretboard. Think I'll still pass
