I've got a few security 9s, the safety wears in well and becomes easier to engage with time, I believe they were aiming for it not to have the capability of being accidentally engaged
John Mahaney I’m not sur if it’s a defect or not. On my Security 9 when I load the magazine my slide goes forward automatically. I also agree with you. It’s a slide stop. When I was trained I was trained to always rack the slide. I’m 100% sure if my left hand were injured the adrenaline would make the slide stop work as a release no problem.
@@sniperdoug1969 that's an actual feature of the gun. If you slam the mag on reload it should automatically release. Scared me at first too but not a defect.
Is it a feature or a beautiful accident? Because mine works about 85% of the time. Hopefully non if us ever have to use it. But it's with me everywhere I go. Love this gun.
I was with you on the slide release. Nicked my thumb fair and square.... But then, I realized it was a slide lock, so I started using it as such. Now, I have no complaints!
I like the safety as it is. Got no issues on the slide release either. I have man hands so it does not bother my thumbs or fingers. No issues, very awesome weapon.
Think of the safety as being angled (↗/↙ motions) NOT horizontal (⬆/⬇) . As with all tools and pieces of machinery it breaks in with muscle memory and training. Also it's a slide stop or "lock". The guard around it is intended to prevent accidental "release" in a controlled environment while servicing. A clever and purposeful safety feature. These are pros not cons.
I don't think the safety is meant to be used although it's there for general use. I'm an armed security guard looking to get one of these soon. When I used it, I was happy with the safety b/c I plan to carry it hot and when store away it's safer than most safeties but not so much if you want to actively use it (it's different). The slide release was pretty tough but for me, but a Glock 17 or 19 is just as tough (for me). On the Glocks, the slide releases are too filed down for me to operate if my hands get sweaty. I personally don't have a big issue with the slide release b/c the gun has an integrated mag insert function which auto racks the slide for you. If you don't like that, this gun has one of the better slides on any gun I've used (very smooth).
Picked mine up today and very happy with it. The top of my barrel also shows some light wear after 50 rounds. The only thing I wish it had or was different was a loaded round indicator other than a small window on the side. This gun is a lot of fun to shoot and for $300 you cant go wrong!
I retired as only an Army Captain, so i am not a gunnery expert....but....Im pretty sure that I have never, ever, ever, picked up or handled an "unloaded weapon". Yes im being a smart ass, but just always remember, there is no such thing as an unloaded weapon.
I just bought Security 9 yesterday. Fired 200 rounds of Winchester 115 gr bulk ammo with no drama. The slide control is a bit stiff but not as bad as the Shield 9 was at first. Like the Shield, I think that this will improve with use. As to the safety. I find it somewhat difficult to engage but I consider that a plus. It's also quite easy to disengage which is also a plus. Trigger reset is a nonissue to me. Just don't care. Over all, I am completely satisfied with this hand gun. Of course it's not perfect, but it is better that I expected it to be for
Yes ,although some like H&K call it a slide release, best to rack the slide all the way to the rear using the full tension of the recoil spring. Am just an Engineer, what do I know ?
I bought one a year ago and love it. I had trouble with one of the two 15 round magazines the gun came with jamming when loading. Ruger sent me a new one within five days. No charge.
I've run over twelve hundred rounds through my Ruger Security 9 and I've only had one fail and I inspected the ammo and it was the bullet. Run about another hundred rounds after that and it did just fine. Usually sometimes when a gun misfires or jams it's ammo related.
I have this.. nice review I ask the guy who shop about the release when I brought it and he taught me something.. this gun has a slide lock not a release. Actually when you insert the clip with a little force it releases the slide and is ready to fire....
I don't think it's really a slide release, I think it's intended to be a slide hold open. If I'm not mistaken the slide is meant to be racked to chamber a round. If that is the case, it doesn't matter that it has sharp edges, because you won't be using it all that often
I disagree. When I’m charging the magwell with a fresh magazine, my thumbs naturally depress the slide release; a round is put into battery and I’m back on target in a smooth motion. It saves time. Watch the pros during a match and watch what they do, rarely will you see them waste time racking the slide home putting a round in battery. Always remember - Smooth is fast … Fast is smooth.
You may have to adjust your "Selling Price of $400.00"!! That is far too much to ask for a handgun that can easily be found for UNDER $300.00, Good video but your price is way out of line.
It's a good gun. I'd get the SR-9 or E-9 instead,it's about the same price. It's got a heavier barrel so you can shoot hot ammo with no worries. I saw these Security models on sale for $219,if I was gonna spend anywhere near $400 on a Ruger I'd get the American. The American is $465 at Bass Pro Shops. Security is better than the SD9VE though.
Good review. Recently purchased mine from cabelas on sale for $309.00 the slide release doesn't seem sharp to me. Seems to shoot EXTREMELY well and is very soft recoiling. A great carry & utility gun so far. especially for the money!
take your dremel to the edge around the slide release and the small safety is a plus mean you have to very deliberately engage it so no accidental engage or disengage.
The instruction manual specifies the lever is a slide stop, and to pull back on the slide to release it. But what happens if one hand is not available? I guess slam the mag. As for the safety, it's weird to engage, but I find it easy to thumb sweep down to fire. The pivot feels like it's on the opposite end than a normal safety.

Great trigger, it is NOT a slide release, and the safety is fine once you get used to it. For a $245 dollar on sale gun it is fantastic. NOT sure why people have such complaints for a gun of this price with such good features, plus it is durable , reliable and accurate..
Handled the pistol last weekend basically I like it.... Ruger should have put a disassembly lever instead of that push pin.....and I'm sure they will make a pro version without the safety....i j will hold off untill they address those two issues for me......but for the price I think they hit a home run.
I feel the gun is for Security Guards and First time kinda scared gun owners. Security Guards don't get paid much and if your a Security Director all the safety's on it I feel helps with liability and it's also a price a Security company or armed guard maybe happy with. It does the job and doesn't hurt the bank.
I agree with your assessment on the slide stop. The edges are very sharp and was one of the first things I noticed while handling the pistol. I agree with the finish, only time will tell. I disagree with the safety. I found it easy to disengage but hard to engage. This is a good thing for those who do not want I use it and fear about it accidentally turning on. Great video keep them coming!
You all know now that the Security 9 comes in a compact version. And the slide has a black oxide finish and, the barrel hopefully will have a oxide finish also. Now the EC9s does have the same finish on the barrel and slide.
I just purchased this gun. I agree with your review for the most part. It shoots well and the sights are adequate. I also dislike the magazine release. I have no issues with the safety though. The slide does wear quickly but it is cosmetic so not a big deal.
love mine. at 15 yards im laying 3 inch groups with both mags at 15 yards. thats 30 head shots on time every time. i know a lot of combat veterans and active police here near fort campbell that respect my security-9. just cant deny those 30 round 3 inch groups. great tool, pray i never am forced to use it.
Just got this and so many people whine about the safety. It's fine. In the shooting position, just flick it down with your thumb. To re-engage, slight tilt down of the gun in your hand, reach up with the tip of the thumb and re-engage. I can cycle it in 2 seconds. I love mine. Put everything in the red, after windage adjustment, after the first 3 rounds. Extremely accurate
I don't understand why anybody complains about this and that. When it comes to protecting yourself or family. Your mind want even be thinking about the cons. What do you guys do sit on the couch and play with it like it's a toy?
Got mine last week at Shoot Point Blank for $319.00. I'm a relatively new shooter (one year. 5 different guns) this is the best by far. I typically go to the range once per week and burn up about 100 rounds of varying types of ammo. I have every confidence that this Ruger Sec 9 is the gun for me. Going to put some Hornady 115gr FTX 9's next week.
I have the Ruger compact 9 and I love it, the only things I don’t like about it is the 10 round magazine capacity, being here in Chicago it’s hard to find magazines over 10 rounds unless you find a bigger magazine in a gun store which I haven’t yet, the other thing is the slightly long trigger pull and reset but I will be putting that red short stroke trigger on it in a few weeks
I agree that the slide lock/release is a bit small and the shelf around it should only be at the bottom so that you do not accidently engage it during fire. As far as the safety is concerned the fact that it is small isn't the real issue with it in my opinion, it is the fact that its movement is reverse from every other model they have. Look at how the safety on the SR9 engages the front of the safety flips up whereas the one on the Sec-9 the back flips up, which is not following the natural movement of the thumb. It definitely releases easier than it applies. I think for the money that you are paying for it, you could do a heck of a lot worse. I want to see what the aftermarket support of this is going to become, because in truth I think it is a fantastic blank canvas for amazing customization potential. By the time you are done putting custom grips, triggers, sights, recoil springs and guiderods in the Sec.-9 you would still be under the retail cost of a comparably sized Glock or H&K in stock format. Now some would argue why not buy the Glock or H&K to start with and my answer to that is at sub 300.00 it already performs as good so I'm making it better than those for the same amount that they cost in stock form.
My security 9 compact has the same issue with the barrel finish getting scratched up I haven’t shot it yet but I’ve been playing around with it like reloading and racking it to get accustomed to it
My biggest con with this gun is the slide release is very difficult to release the slide if you manually rack it all the way back. Its hurting my thumb alot
Gun shop guy and I couldn't get the safety lever to work. Until we discovered there's a technical way to move it. Straight up, the "natural" way, doesn't work. A diagonal push up and towards the front of the gun is the trick. Once you have that down it's no big deal.
I now own 4 of these. The price point is amazing. One is my EDC and the other 3 are safe queens for the time being. I got 4 and a price break at $279 a piece. Pretty accurate out of the box, comfortable to carry and fire. One of my favorite shooters next to the SP101.
hi mike , I agree on the 2 points you brought up on the con's list as i bought one and feel the same way . but i have to tell you that on mine , the p.o.a. and the p.o.i. are one and the same , its a laser . I noticed some H&C precision paperwork hanging on the wall . Herbie built me a custom 7mm-08 and she is a beauty. hope he did a good job on whatever he did for you .
I get my Security 9 in a few days. Good job on being what I think was fair in your review. Its good to here what people dont like along with the likes.
To me what sucks about security 9s is that they are single action and because the hammer is hidden inside the slide you can't cook it manually, so if you hit a dead round you can't double strike the primer Also I'm starting to have reliability issues with my ruger that is making me reconsider carrying this pistol as my protection I don't know if anybody else is having the same problem but my pistol looks open after every shot, I don't know if it's dirty or broken but can't make it through one mag with out having to actually hold down the slide release with my thumb
Got one when Covid started. Not many guns available. Paid 350$. I actually like the safety. I watch another channel trying to put the safety on and having trouble. What he was doing was trying to push it up from front and middle.. I think the front of the safety is the pivot point.I just push up from the very back of it or sweep it off from the back.. like you I have a laser and use the gun mostly as bedside gun.
While I do agree the slide stop is difficult, I actually took a chunk of skin from the web of my hand the first day I got mine trying to release it, I think the safety is easy to operate. A lot of people bitch about it but mine functions fine.
Good points. I have the LC9s. And an SR9. I really like my SR9. My biggest complaint is the mag disconnect safety. Don’t like those. The trigger is “meh” not bad. Crunchy take up a bit with a clean break. Sits decently in the hand and very reliable. It is a bet your life weapon IMO. It is going to work. How’s the Security 9 compare to it? Have you had experience with the SR9? They are close to the same space. I don’t get the point of going with an internal hammer that for all intents and purposes pulls like a striker fired gun. They occupy the same space. The SR probably is a tad bigger/heavier, but they’re very similar guns. Probably easier to carry the Security 9.
i wouldnt say thats petty, i mean if youre trying to throw some lead down range pretty quickly it can slow you down and decrease accuracy. its not a huge con but to say its petty, i dont think so.
Jerry Miculek is a freakish pinnacle of shooting skill and citing him in the context of what the average shooter can accomplish, even with a lot of training is stupid. Trigger reset is a legit concern.
Puddin Tame would be if your planning on doing drills etc. However, this is no racegun. This gun is made to compete with those affordable guns like hi-point and taurus than anygun that would actually take trigger reset into account.
Hi Point and Taurus are what I call "guns for non-shooters." Short trigger reset isn't a quality reserved only for "raceguns", a stock-ass Glock or M&P has reasonably short trigger reset out of the box. Buy Glocks and M&P's are guns for shooters, not non-shooters. If you don't care, it probably makes no difference.
Two things I dislike about this gun. One, the finish on the slide isn’t very good. It rusts over night if any moisture gets to it at all, and two, when you shove a mag in the pistol, the slide chambers a round automatically. No need to rack the slide, out hit the slide release. Now I can see that being a good thing in a gun fight, but for just shooting at the range, it takes some getting used to. Good video. It’s a good gun for the money. It seems to be reliable and it’s accurate. What more can you want from a cheap gun?
Mike I was wondering do you like the fact that with the Security 9 when you slap a new mag in it will automatically rack the slide forward and chamber a round. Do you like this feature or not. Also even with the Security 9 being classified as a DAO weapon how do you say compare it to the American 9 striker fire? I have the Security 9 and really like the feel of the trigger even with it technically being classified as a DAO to me it almost feels like a striker, was just wondering your opinion on that feel. And just a comment that I wanted to point out a buddy of mine bought the American 9 and paid almost right around $200 more then I paid for my Security 9, would you say the it is worth the extra $200? Right now I am using the Security 9 as my EDC and the weight to me seems nice and comfortable my buddy weighed his American 9 and I weighed my Security 9 and the Security 9 weighed in about 5 to 6 oz lighter even though it was a little larger. Just thought I would ask your opinion on these points.
Hi, Jay I dont mind that the slide automatically slides shut on a loaded magazine....5 to 6 ozs doesnt sound like a lot but it is when your carrying it around all day every day!
Thanks for the reply Mike and yes I agree that 5 or 6 oz. makes a difference when carrying all day my buddy wants to fight me on that point all the time but thanks for the backup on my point of view. God Bless and Merry Christmas. @@performanceshootinginc.1625

My only complaint is the sights. Why not just use something way more common and easier to change. I see this being one of the first things they change if they release a 2nd gen
my only dissapointment was with the rear sight. there is no elevation adjustment. luckily the kentucky windage remains dead accurate so i can live with it. the pistol is spectacularly accurate, but still, the elevator is on my nice to have list.
Slide release is not a big deal. This gun does work with inertial slide closure by firmly slapping magazine into the well. It will then load round into battery.
Welcome to the children"s club. My comments were edited. Your response made me correct them. Have a nice day. Enjoy and remember, you can remove the safety or just not use it.
I'm new to guns. I'm getting a concealed carry permit. I don't plan on shooting all the time, probably once a month. In your opinion which do you think would be the best choice for someone like me. The Security 9 or the EC9s? Thank You.
I held the Security 9 that another customer had ordered at my local gun shop. They didn't have the EC9s but they had the LC9s, in purple, from what I was told the EC9s is the same gun as the LC9s with cheaper sights. I really like the compact size of the LC9s/EC9s but if I'm being honest the Security 9 felt way more reassuring in my hand. Plus the 15+1 over the 7+1 is also more reassuring. I have heard the trigger on the LC9s/EC9s is better but all in all I think the Security 9 is the way to go. Thank you
They both look like fully cocked hammers but they appear very different. The Ruger has a shorter trigger pull hence the safety. Closer to a modified single action since the hammer is cocked by the slide. The Creed is a longer smoother trigger pull more akin to an actual double action only extremely light. Think PPQ feel only longer pull since it moves the hammer. The Creed is more of a modified double action with a slightly longer reset but no safety.
This gun holsters well due to the beveled edges . We all got one cuz it's a good ass gun for the $$. Even if we have a ton of others , Ruger made a good one , mines a hair high but I m gonna put a holographic and mount for what I paid for the gun .
283.76 out the door at Academy sports. Directly to the range. 250 rounds of 124 gr fmj without a single stoppage. For the money I don’t think I could have done better. I don’t use the slide release on any weapon. So that’s not a big deal to me. I also do not use the safety. I cannot think of a better weapon for the money.
The only thing I didn't like was the white sights. I was loosing the sight picture. Fixed that real quick. I ordered the front and rear sight in bright yellow. Went to shopruger.com. this is my first hanging ever. I shot before, just never owned one. I got it because it fit just right in my hand. Love this gun, good job Ruger!
Performance Shooting, Great video! It definitely helped in my decision. I will definitely be purchasing this weapon. I currently carry a Ruger P89, it's a tank. Lol. This looks much easier to conceal. I'm also considering an LC9 as a backup weapon.
Fairly good attempt at defending your full retail pricing, but it was painfully transparent. Otherwise, a good review. I am definitely getting one of these. I am one of the geriatric crowd, and the easy racking and soft recoil appeal to me a great deal. Add to those features a 15 round magazine, and I can't resist.
I love my Security 9. What I don't care for or my biggest gripe is no double strike capability... And the slide needs to be fully retracted to reset the hammer. Other than that, great, reliable and accurate weapon.
Ruger implicitly says not to use the "slide stop" as a slide release. Slam the mag on reload and the slide automatically releases.

I disagree with the safety. I found it easy to disengage but hard to engage. This is a good thing for those who do not want I use it and fear about it accidentally turning on. Great video keep them coming!
Just purchased the Security 9 this month. They have evidently corrected the sharp slide stop. My has very smooth edges.
conversely my safety seems a tad too easy. sleeping with the security-9 cocked and locked seems a tiny tad bit worrysome.
You all know now that the Security 9 comes in a compact version. And the slide has a black oxide finish and, the barrel hopefully will have a oxide finish also. Now the EC9s does have the same finish on the barrel and slide.
my slider is scraped too but like you said its for security/emergency not gun show material.
I just purchased this gun. I agree with your review for the most part. It shoots well and the sights are adequate. I also dislike the magazine release. I have no issues with the safety though. The slide does wear quickly but it is cosmetic so not a big deal.
Would have been good to actually shoot this gun before you try to review it. Many of your negatives go unnoticed when you are actually shooting.
love mine. at 15 yards im laying 3 inch groups with both mags at 15 yards. thats 30 head shots on time every time. i know a lot of combat veterans and active police here near fort campbell that respect my security-9. just cant deny those 30 round 3 inch groups. great tool, pray i never am forced to use it.
Its well under $400, i got mine for $285
I got mine for $250.
Picked mine up for $200 w/ only 25 rounds through it. Now that made my day
got mine for $302 you guys are lucky lol, but considering the average market cost for this gun new is $369 I still got somewhat of a bargain.
Were was it were you bought your gun and what have you got to say about the gun ow that you ve had it for awhile?
He said under $400 shipped to lower 48. Shipping can be pricey sometimes so I think that was his point.
I don't understand why anybody complains about this and that. When it comes to protecting yourself or family. Your mind want even be thinking about the cons. What do you guys do sit on the couch and play with it like it's a toy?
I have been getting more time in with mine and it's been a great gun so far.
Love my security 9.... Got mine for 340 otd.... shoots better than others
Have have the ec9s and the security 9 amd they are the best bang for your buck i still need to get the lcp ll
ParasidicGeneration thats next on my purchase list as well then the Ruger 9mm carbine.
I was told by ruger its not a slide release its a slide stop & you can damage the slide stop & spring
I think they made the safety hard to put on for the none safety guys..if you push up at the rear of the lever it pops right on....thanks...love mine
Did the trigger looks pretty. They sell a 30 rd mag on mags online best 25 dollars ever
@@Strat_da_G we can’t get magazines over 10 rounds sent here
@@ArmedNDangerous God I love texas
@@Strat_da_G yeah It pretty fucked up here in Chicago
Could someone here in Texas purchase and gift it to you or is that breaking the law?
I just bought the Ruger Security 9 in February 2021...total including 100 rounds of 115 gr ammo, plus tax at $422.00.
Yes Herb is awesome had built a few for us here!
I tired going to your site,, it was being tested? 11/16/2020
All I know is for the proce range you should never ever be putting ANY glocks next to them because glocks are much more expensive.
For name only. This does everything you need and you don't need aftermarket products to improve it.
I get my Security 9 in a few days. Good job on being what I think was fair in your review. Its good to here what people dont like along with the likes.
To me what sucks about security 9s is that they are single action and because the hammer is hidden inside the slide you can't cook it manually, so if you hit a dead round you can't double strike the primer
Also I'm starting to have reliability issues with my ruger that is making me reconsider carrying this pistol as my protection
I don't know if anybody else is having the same problem but my pistol looks open after every shot, I don't know if it's dirty or broken but can't make it through one mag with out having to actually hold down the slide release with my thumb
It sounds like a warranty related issue. Talk with Ruger if you haven't already.
That's a slide stop not every gun has it been easily used as a release habit taught me to just rack the slide over the years
I have one and my slide won't stay open with out a mag in what is wrong
A little Dremel work on those high points should do the trick !
You are 100 percent right!
Yea really. It’s not like it’s a 700 dollar gun. Make it your own.
Exactly what I did to mine today 100% better
Trigger reset to long? Man thats being some kind of petty.
i wouldnt say thats petty, i mean if youre trying to throw some lead down range pretty quickly it can slow you down and decrease accuracy. its not a huge con but to say its petty, i dont think so.
Tristan Crow ever seen Jerry Miculek shoot a revolver? It's all about training with what you run.
This item is on my list. Very good review. Nothing but positive reviews on this pistol. I`m subscribing!
The safety is easy to disengage, but difficult to engage for a reason. You don't want to engage the safety by accident at the wrong time.
Excellent review of a gun I’m looking forward to getting soon in .45 ACP!
Appreciate the helpful review. Thanks.
That’s a purddy backdrop. Very bright and reflective what wood was used?
Its pine....unfinished
What light do you recommend?
Great review, thanks
Just what is Rugers warranty? I called them and they said they don't actually have a warranty, but they do "stand behind" their product.
That is correct...we have never not had them cover any issues.
Thank you for the review mike. I am considering buying my 1st 9mm ever. I am also on a tight budget. Please, share with me your thoughts on this Ruger security and the Walther Creed ? Which one would you trust and own for defending your home? Please be Objective, critical, and thorough. Be decisive tool ! Friends on You tube, please free to chime in. I'll be waiting !
I've never touched a Walther Creed, so I'm not much help...but I will say the more I handle this Ruger the better I like it.
The 2 best pistols for the money .
To Mr BDDSWC. I am 67. I like safeties, thanks for making me feel younger.
Welcome to the children"s club. My comments were edited. Your response made me correct them. Have a nice day. Enjoy and remember, you can remove the safety or just not use it.
I got mine new for $265, but the safety needs to be improved - bigger.
Good review. Thanks for posting.
Like mine very much except for its release button, as you mentioned, the ridge around it is a nuisance ....good video!
That's what it's supposed to do. It's not a release. Stop using it as such and you'll be ok.
I just got mine and I agree the safety is hard to use.
That's good though. Easy to take off, harder to put it on safety. Like it's designed.
I'm new to guns. I'm getting a concealed carry permit. I don't plan on shooting all the time, probably once a month. In your opinion which do you think would be the best choice for someone like me. The Security 9 or the EC9s? Thank You.
The Security 9 will be easier to shoot and will shoot better for you, but if your planning on carrying concealed then the EC9s would be better.
Thank You
I was looking at both the ec9s and sec 9, and I ended up going with the sec 9. I will definitely go back for either an ec9s or lc9s though.
Thank you
I have the ec9- just fired it for the first time a few days ago and I loved it! Excellent little firearm!
sr series the best ruger budget gun
9e
Ruger 9 good for new to gun looking at revolver 38spl
Nice heater!
I have a Walther Creed but its a bit fat for me and I was curious if the trigger on this is similar to the Creed?
Ive never handled a Creed, sorry.
I bought one yesterday at Dahlonega Pawn & gold $264.00.
I have one on order, can the slide release be filed down to make it more comfortable? I pain $319.00
Doug Williams i would file the edges around it off...I think that would fix the issue
It's meant to hold the slide open . Release the slide by charging it with the rear serrations .
Love this gun, good job Ruger!
is the grip thinner than the glock 19? if it's as thick that's a deal breaker for my medium hands. please respond...anyone. thank you.
I have normal size hands and it was fine on it's own. One thing I purchased was the Hogue grip. Love it. You should look into it.
@@elche1976 ok thank you
How does this compare to the Taurus G3?
Stephen Szabo much better!!!
Performance Shooting,
Great video! It definitely helped in my decision. I will definitely be purchasing this weapon. I currently carry a Ruger P89, it's a tank. Lol. This looks much easier to conceal. I'm also considering an LC9 as a backup weapon.
MrBDDSWC Welcome to the children's club. I Feel younger.Enjoy your new toy. Have a nice day.
MrBDDSWC Thanks for making me feel younger.
LOL
Fairly good attempt at defending your full retail pricing, but it was painfully transparent. Otherwise, a good review. I am definitely getting one of these. I am one of the geriatric crowd, and the easy racking and soft recoil appeal to me a great deal. Add to those features a 15 round magazine, and I can't resist.
Do you or anyone else Conceal Carry this? I am looking at it very hard for that purpose.
I dont I think its too large for me to carry, I carry the Glock 43.
I love my Security 9.
What I don't care for or my biggest gripe is no double strike capability...
And the slide needs to be fully retracted to reset the hammer.
Other than that, great, reliable and accurate weapon.
use awesome ammo and double strike won't matter! It will work EVERY time!
