In Indian villages, or more eco-friendly housing schemes, the floor is not concrete. It's mud. And, mud cracks. So, cowdung mixed with mud is used to 'polish' the floors.
Also, cowdung is dried as flat cakes and used for cooking as a substitute for wood and coal.
Also, we have our own winnower called 'soop'. Some ladies used cowdung to cover it and others used to cover it in used battery pastes, which was obviously a bad idea. So, everyone in the villages uses this method.
Cowdung might be 'eww' to some. But, most Indians consider it holy and it is used in most of our rituals and festivities.

My love, you try to explain to people what wood smells like, some of them only know what it is like from air freshener :)

Anyone familiar with cows could tell you that their dung doesn't usually smell bad as long as they're kept outdoors. Cows living in a barn sometimes stink.
Cow dung is also a traditional fuel. It dries well, and can be burned. This is (or was) used worldwide.

I know about cowdung. I remember some white missionaries in Iganda calling their huts 'dungalows' becUse the floors were polished with cowdung 😁

Blessings to you sister! I love your channel 🥰. My family and I are looking to leave the U.S. and have considered various countries in Africa or somewhere in the Caribbean. Do you have any tips for a foreigner that’s considering moving to Uganda?

A very useful material, however i do have some sanitary concerns with it, as there can be harmful bacteria or even parasites

Thanks for the lesson! I'd like to learn more! I have access to lots of cow dung, and currently only use it composted as fertilizer. I know it's often also used in Ayurvedic medicine although I've never tried it. Please teach us how you cure the cow dung to preserve the antimicrobial and antiseptic properties while killing the harmful bacteria, like escherichia coli (usually abbreviated as E. coli).
