U said beauty standards destroy women more. I don't agree with u. Beauty standards destroy men more because of feminism these days, people can't beauty shame women. When I ask my Indian friends who they think is most beautiful, she never made anyone's top 10 however they all agreed that she is all other things (smart, elegant, decent), but not beautiful. I congratulate this brilliant guy on his use of comedy to address a cultural issue!!...well done and I think he is genius. I am a South African born Indian and I experienced the exact sane thing in the Indian community I grew up. I thought I was the ugliest person alive and I never married because I thought no one would marry me because of my dark skin. I am now 54 years old still single and no kids. Over the past 22 years I worked as an English teacher in Singapore, Malaysia, China, Kazakhstan, Georgia and Turkey. I also lived in Panama , Colombia and Paris, France. And everywhere I lived people love fair skin and treat dark skin as inferior. But now I love my dark skin and I love the woman I have become, a kind, loving , caring, respectful, warm, friendly and gracious individual who is a honest, hard working, and diligent professional. I think this guy is a brilliant , humble and wonderful guy and I pray that he will find a lovely young lady who will love him and care for him because he has a beautiful heart! As Indians we must teach our children to appreciate a persons character and look at someone's heart , the color of the heart is more important than the color of one's skin.
Oh wow, I’m so sorry you had to go through that. I knew a lady from Nepal who married a man who was more brown and she acted like he had a disability 🤦🏽♀️. I’m so glad you found success and you’ve a blessing to so many others. Thank you for telling your story.
You sound like a lovely person. But I think that the color of one's skin is equally important as the color of one's heart, but in different ways. The color of one's skin is important aesthetically. Objectively all skin colors are equally beautiful. It's a simple spectrum from whitish-eggshell to almost black, no blues, reds, or greens. But different societies put an aesthetic value on one skin type or another. I personally adore dark skin in its various shades. It can be gorgeous. I think you've learned the trick of not internalizing other people's preconceptions into your self-image. I have a saying: Why the hell do I have to look like you?!
You sound beautiful
Now you "kinda" see what it's like being Black in America.

They refused to show him as black coz of the hate we have towards the colour
@@hakkhani noope, in the main temple of lord Krishna the statue is always black
@@monickverma2944 I always saw him in blue, why not stick to his original colour?
in any Mahabharat or Krishana tv serials have you ever seen any dark skinned actor playing the role of Krishana, they always show him fair skinned person.
@@estranshaykrei6576 tbh, Nitish bhardwaj is neither dark nor fair.
Meghashyama is name of krishna which means dark like a ☁️.
Vishnu is described as Nilvarna means blue in colour.
"This is melanin, not teflon!"
Bro', that's really got me laughing non stop for 2 minutes at 4 a.m. 😆😆😆
Every black guy in America should use that line
Sleep then.
Yes, yes, yes, THIS IS THE SKIN COLOUR OF AVERAGE INDIAN.
That's factually not correct, india is very diverse in terms of skin colours and features, so it depends on region...but people shouldnt be degraded for being dark
Not true, our country is very diverse.
South Indians are generally darker, North Indian slightly fairer and northeast are pretty similar
@@jcxkzhgco3050 average of the entire country would still be this dark though
Nope
No I disagree people from North India do have fair skin too but yes it is not right to discriminate on the basis of skin color
Only black people will understand his feelings , I don't find this funny cuz I felt like he was talking about my life
How the hell is he still unmarried???
I would have married him straight away
All talk and no substance!
That tree is not going to take to you kindly.
😁😁😁😂😂😂😋
may be he is telling the story of him before coming to the limelight ,,,,
Because in real life girls will reject him on the basis of looks and malnourishment all these good talks stay in social media only
As a dark skinned black women these jokes are f’ing hilarious.
Do girls make fun of dark woman too
Many of asian countries has this kind of tendency at certain level 🤔
Pretty much
Tendency? Lol that's a severe understatement.
At last somebody with a spine to openly criticize about this madness. This is a very serious problem not only in India but in the entire south asia
And our so called cinema industry known as BULLYWOOD always promotes this obsession👏
Therefore I hate each one of them ! I used to hate these celebs from the beginning , now a days please understand that Bollywood is all about promoting fake everywhere 😏😏
@@nehamanjera8522 absolutely
Bullywood yes
Especially Yami gautam
@@coldfire9937 yeah lol
But yk fair and lovely change diya name to “glow and lovely” because of racist comments 😂😂
Wow, as if their intention to make people fairer still doesn’t exist
A dark skinned Indian friend of mine said to me after I took a photo of her "I don't like it I look like a Black lady in this"...It is really heartbreaking that there is still such a prejudice over skin colour in India and people don't appreciate the things that really matter in a person
it's so strange to me when some of the most beautiful women in the world are black. i am in awe of black women's beauty and then there's our country people who think people are ugly just because they're dark? it makes no sense to me
went through the same discrimination when I was young, which made me introverted, sad...I hope it never happens to anyone, anymore..
Yaa bro it also happened with me in my school
Same. when I was young I also went through the same thing. And it will continue to everyone who are dark skinned. This mentality will never stop. It will only stop when this theory is reversed.
Ya bro me too😥
It's true: I lived in Middle East where they try to lighten their skin. A teen boy told me he hated his dark skin but I assured him (as an eldery woman) it was beautiful as are all skin colors. An Indian girl married a Jordanian man but his family said her skin was too dark. LOL
I'm from south Africa and i watch an Indian channel zee world. All the actors and actresses are very fair skin except for people who play roles of criminals, their are all dark skinned. This is in every episode of the films. Wow..
Some have blonde hair and yellow eyes.
Girl, why are you watching that shitty channel. This is not true in the case of Indian webseries which are on channels like hotstar, voot, etc. Many Indians have stopped watching these channels like zee, star and watch Indian webseries instead where the actors are actually talented
he is the first comedian that actually made me laugh and also on such a sensitive topic...
True😂
Hi zainab where r u from
Don't have to be Indian to appreciate his genius !
"you're a Brahmin , you marry a touch me not" .. caste issue 🤣

Painful truth.he is such a wonderful person, who described the matter in a beautiful way. Wowww
It's crazy how some South Asians don't like African Americans and many of us are lighter skinned than many South Asians 🤷🏾
That’s not true at all. Also, black Americans have their own internal obsession. They hate other minority ethnic groups too
As a dark skinned lady with a background in code writing in Seattle; smh - when an immigrant tries to treat you less than because of their country's caste system...repulsive experience. It's ignorant. Class, huh? Where?
I hate it when foreigners everywhere try to impose their repulsive customs/traditions on others in other people's countries.
Imagine if they became the majority.
@marijke Corneilla White people are never told to go back where they came from. It's always white people telling other people that! You get up on youtube and say a lie that everyone already knows about.
Bruhh... The caste system doesn't have to do anything with skin colour 🤦♀️ , it's a whole different thing
@D for Daphne damn you know a lot about the caste system dont you
