You must have a happy life. Whatever you test is the best you’ve ever heard. This only goes to show that finally thanks to technical progress, whatever the brand or whatever the model you buy, you can find something great at every price.
@@kennethr8322 The cheaper options are still there, an A10 needs the rest of the chain which goes easy above 10k and feeds another market. Well done Eversolo.
Please review it as a streamer/dac/preamp. Try playing vinyl (via phono-pre) through it. The real value would be apparent if this device could replace a separate pre-amp. The Serbian reviewer has stated that all pre-amps attached to dac’s are just mediocre.
I agree Eversolo has the best app. Just as an FYI I purchased a high end Pangea 14 gauge power cord and it made a massive difference to my DMP A-6. A huge difference! Love the streamer and I need to listen to the A-10. Use my A6 just a s a streamer.
@ the sound stage increased with the power cord in a huge way. I couldn’t believe it and switched the provided cord back into the Eversolo and it went back to the “stock sound”. The stock sound wasn’t bad but when it was connected to the larger power cord it was as if the internal power supply had been upgraded.
The A8 is still great and sits at a price point. This one costs quite a bit more. Most manufacturers have a tier of similar products that sit at different price points. The A6 for those who want to spend under $1k, the A8 for those who want more and the A10 as a flagship that costs yet even more. :)
Looking forward to any comparisons vs your Electrocomanait system sitting next to it. Eversolo has more features and I like the room comp, if it does it well.
I generally enjoy your reviews, great presentation, maybe too much hype on occasion. This review I felt was just rushed . You didn't make a point about the long time you spent with it in your system , loads of features were skipped over, presumably no time to fully understand/review , and reading from sheets of paper , all gives the impression that being first to market, with your review, is way more important than a fully detailed effort . Maybe a follow up when you have got a better grip on this seemingly excellent ,groundbreaking for the price probably , piece of HiFi gear.
Not only that but compare it to the A8 review and 95% is the same... But its MUCH better than the A8... of course. Or think about noise... Well my A6 is silent so I hope his puritan power conditioner combined with like any streamer is silent let alone a dual powersupply streamer (which of course the A8 already was...) And the spatial sound remark is funny with the open baffles in the background. I think this may well be Huffs worst "review" yet.
How is the preamp section while using the streamer DAC? Can you compare to another preamp? 10 db of gain seems very low. This would make an efficient system if all you needed was an amp.
Better than the Hi Fi Rose 150B? I am happy with mine. I bought it 3 years ago and the price has still not come down. Maybe with this they will lower the price.
How does the user experience compare to blue sound? I will be interested in the sound comparison to the blue sound flagship when it becomes available. The evolution of these products have fast track pace!
@ In my rig it was doing a great job (mainly Tidal - via Tidal Connect) in combo with my Focal Sopra 1 (featuring a fabulous beryllium tweeter) supported by an Sopra SW1000 sub.
When plugged in via ARC, does it turn off/on instantly with the source TV? I have the new Aurender A1000 as a digital preamp for my TV and it shuts completely off when the TV does. Problem is that it takes 30 seconds to turn back on when I turn on the TV, which my wife is not fond of.
I've been looking at the new Aurender A 1000 at $3500 which is their least expensive piece. No pre amp but would still make a worthy comparison. I'm strictly analog at the moment so just taking my time. I'm sure you'll compare to some of your other favorites just for sound quality.
I own the X2, do not have the X1. Still sounds like the X2. The character of the DAC is clean, clear, open, big stage, nice midrange and tight bass. The amp used also makes a difference and the EC amp I use has a solidity and richness about it that sounds different than other amps I’ve had or have. In any case the A10 sounds great, and much better than I expected it to sound. Thanks for watching.
According to the analog xlr and rca outputs: Can these be set indepentdently, so - as an exampel - the xlr output is regulated, and the rca output is fixed level . So that you have a fixed line level output to a headphone amplifier.
Thanks for the review. It would be nice to compare the sound of the streaming DAC with a similar priced Lumin streaming DAC (T3). Im reslly just into the best sound and imaging and dont care for all the DMP-A10 gimmicks. However if it sounds the same as the Lumin, then I would consider the DMP-A10. Lumin on the other hand still delivers firmware updates for old products - Eversolo we still dont know if they will provide that.
It is rather strange that Eversolo goes and includes an I²S connection on their DMP-A8 only to remove this option from their new flagship DMP-A10. It feels like a retrograde step - especially when considering the cost of this new 'flagship' model. 🤔
@@CletusVanDamme2011Not as strange as you might think, a number of higher end streamers like the Auraliac Aries G2.2 don’t include I2S, just USB and s/pdif.
