Idina Menzel sings "I'll Cover You" from RENT - a song she said she'd always loved and had wanted to sing, but couldn't, seeing as how it was Jesse and Wilson's (Collins and Angel's) song - at a concert.

This song is the most beautiful love song ever written. Great acoustic with Idinas voice.
She really needs to go back and re-record all of her favorite songs from her shows in her own style. She did an incredible new Defying Gravity, but I want more like this.
I'll Cover You is my absulote favorite song of Rent. And usually it's hard for me to like the other version of this song unless it's sung by Wilson and Jesse. But oh dear God I seriously looovvveeee this version!! Idina is the best!!

If I can find the CD it's on (I have like five CDs with Idina's concert audio on them randomly, lol), then I will. :)
Please keep in mind that this wasn't recorded professionally. It was done with a handheld recorder or by a camera. So of course the sound quality won't be the greatest.
And if you don't find her amazing that's fine. I respect your opinion. So long as you respect mine and everyone else's who's commented on this video saying that she is.

This would actually make a very nice contemporary pop/folk recording, though it doesn't necessarily have to be by her. I think it'd sound absolutely fantastic if recorded acoustic, like in this performance (without the crappy sound).
out of all of those pictures, the one at 1:35 stuck out the most to me. I'm not why, though. It repeats like most of the pictures, of course.
