“I stopped!” 😂lol. I assumed you did, it was just cute that you reassured us that you are a conscientious driver. I enjoyed the change of pace. You are so blessed to live in your heavenly county.
Mary I enjoyed this video so much! It was beautiful seeing the countryside. The hilly curvy roads with the occasional Amish horse drawn carriage was the icing on the cake for me! My roots were in Southern Illinois where there are several Amish communities. I just loved seeing all of this! You can’t beat Amish made furniture! It’s always well made furniture! To me it’s an art form. A God given talent! Thanks again for taking us along with you!!! P.S. I now live in Georgia
When I saw Zinck's, I teared up! My mom was an avid quilter and used to love buying fabrics in Holmes county. She loved taking me to Zinck's, Country Charm and Helping Hands to pick out fabrics for quilts she made for my family. Such beautiful country and kind people. Thanks for the tour!
Mary, you are a treasure! Thank you for the tour! Ohio is beautiful. You are inspiring spiritually and creatively. Thank you so much for being a light in the world! 🙏🏻💗
Thank you for the beautiful tour of your area. My sister lived outside of Cincinnati and she took me into Amish country to their beautiful farms and stores. This brought back some wonderful memories.
Thank you so much for this video! I left Canton to join the military "decades" ago and am thinking about moving back there as I get ready to retire. Holmes County appeals to us and your video gave us a great idea of what to expect should we choose to move there. We appreciate your efforts.
Thanks for the tour Mary. The scenery was beautiful. No apologies needed. Thanks for all that you share with us! Have a happy and restful Fourth of July!
Thank you for the tour video. Such a beautiful area. We visited this area about 8 years ago & fell in love with Holmes county. We live in central Florida & haven’t had the opportunity for a return trip. We came in October but would love to come back in the spring. Retired now but with the virus it looks like we won’t be traveling out of Florida for a while. We don’t know anyone who has gotten the virus but some parts of the state has greatly increased in numbers in general. I can still make plans for a future date. I always enjoy your videos. You are a bit of calm and sweetness in the middle of our crazy world. God bless you!
I could spend all day at the garden place! Thank you for showing us the beautiful countryside where you live, it was so enjoyable to watch while enjoying my morning coffee.
you are such a delight. I would love to someday visit your area of the country. I'm 72 and always looking for new adventures. THANKS SO MUCH for sharing your life with us! It's BEAUTIFUL! in every way imaginable!!!
Hi Mary!! What a lovely tour!! I especially enjoyed "The Gardens". Wow, could hang out in there for hours! Love all the water features! The countryside is just so beautiful too! Thank you for taking us...Loved all of it!! ❤❤ You are a beautiful soul!!!! Love & Light to you!! 🥰❤
Thanks for the memories. I lived briefly in Holmes County and worked at a hotel in Berlin. It’s a truly beautiful location and the people, Amish and English, are just as beautiful.
Even though I am not a gardener myself, I can appreciate and enjoy the pretty garden things you have shown us today on this video. I was born in Iowa and grew up in the midwest until my parents moved us to Arizona when I was 15!! I love seeing all the green rolling hills, pastures, farms, trees, etc., it reminds me of Kansas where I went to school. I now live in the mountains of Arizona in a small town and have lots of beautiful pines around and other trees of course. Love the peacefulness around you when you are showing your latest project and I adore the kitty!! Thanks for sharing your wonderful ideas, decorating hints, etc.
Hi Mary... my grandmother from PA was fully Pennsylvania Dutch as well. Thereby, making me a good portion!.. You pronounce so many words just like she did! So cool! . The scenery is so awesome where you live! The fabric store is great one of a kind, and the market with beautiful produce etc is so fantastic. The garden shop! Wow...everything is simply Amazing! Thank you! May God bless you!
*Thank you for the tour of the interesting places!!! *GLAD YOU TOOK SOME TIME FOR YOURSELF!!!* ⚘🦋🍒 I sure wont be visiting there! Im al the way here in South Africa!! *LOVE YOUR WORK AND VIDEOS!!!* ❤
Ok, now I want to move to Holmes County Ohio. I'm in California and so want to live in a serene place like you've shown us today. Thank you for doing this tour for us. I loved it. For a moment I could pretend I live there and not here. God continue to bless you and your family Mary.
Just because I live in England and probably won't get out thier its so lovely to come around with you. I have always been interested in the Amish community becaueof my quilting so thankyou maybe one day xx
Love the tour and all the places to visit the view of the rolling hills and farmland priceless. You are a wonderful tour guide. I hope you have a blessed week and your niece enjoys her vacation. ♥️♥️
I was a New Yorker, until my husband got sick and decided to move to Florida, where I'm living for 10 years. After the horrible pandemic situation. I lost my job, and never found anything yet, so... long story short, I'm planning to go to Pittsburgh, PA., where my son lives with his wife and kids. His mother in law lives in an area near by the Amish country in PA, so if I move to PA, I will be visiting the Amish, b/c I love and have much respect for them. I know you're retired from them, but I still see in you the manners, the respect, and the talents!!! You're a hard worker, and I give you so much respect for that. Keep your business growing, and your stile to create. So much love. 😘😘😘
Absolutely Beautiful places down here!! My wife and I are in our early 50s and love the gift shops and great food!! So peaceful and beautiful!! God bless all
I love this video! I spent 2 weeks last summer in Ohio and was fortunate to get to visit Holmes county! I had a blast there especially Zincks fabric! I am a quilter and found beautiful quilting cottons by Penny Rose and Riley Blake for $5 a yard! Got enough for 4 large throw size quilts for $70! That is a steal and I can't wait for this virus thing to calm down so I can visit again! I also loved visiting Sugarcreek, it is beautiful too! Thanks for sharing this video, Brought back great memories in Holmes county!
Good morning Mary What a beautiful area you live in. I'm such a country girl myself. Thank you so much for the beautiful tour of your area. Have a fabulous day. God bless
Well, this week I’ve had the pleasure of watching your tour of Holmes County along with Lynette Yoder’s tour of Holmes County. Such a beautiful part of our country! It’s ironic that I’m seeing these videos when I myself, along with my husband are heading out to Lancaster County this weekend. We just needed a break from all that’s going on and wanted to relax in a more quaint and peaceful area. We just ride around and look at all the well maintained Amish /Mennonites homes along with thrifting. Thanks so much for sharing your lovely county. I hope to get to Ohio someday.
So glad you let your fans know about Zincks...such an amazing place! We live in Florida now so seeing these familiar shops and scenery was a real treat for me. Thanks so much!
I loved the tour! So beautiful. I live near the mountains so I don't get to see rolling plains. I love that you even took the time to show us the view from a rest stop. Beauty is everywhere.
Oh my goodness so happy I found your channel. I live in Los Angeles but I am from the Midwest. I am very handicapped with severe mobility issues. I can't do much like I used to but I so enjoy your adventures and taking care of your home and property. Thank You for sharing. God Bless You.😁💖
Mary, this video was very enjoyable for me. I was born and lived as a child in Lancaster, PA and this video made me sooo homesick!!!!! Love your blog and I am constantly inspired by you.
Thanks Mary for the tour! I haven't been up to Ohio for a few years - I love to visit Holmes County. I grew up in South- West Ohio. I miss the winding hilly country roads sometimes 💖
What fabulous travels today! Thank you!😍 I seen so many treasures of the heart! All the hanging dried floral really got me. The story of the wren and sweet widow was touching. Perfect ending with the rolling hills! Again..thank you so much! Question: How does it feel to live amongst such beauty? Have a Blessed Day!🌷Beverly🌷
Hi Mary. Thank you. You have no idea how much I needed this video! I told my husband this morning that I need a vacation - I have not stepped foot out of our house (Except to my own backyard) in over 2 months. It was so nice to see another part of the country! The ride-along was just what I needed. Thanks again!
I really enjoyed this. So peaceful, makes me want to drive 1000 miles to visit. This would be my favorite type of day. Also, love your congressman, Jim Jordan!! Who knows, I may visit.
Many thrift stores are low on inventory due to the COVID-19 situation. Especially affected are the thrift stores that rely on donations, i.e., Goodwill, Salvation Army etc. I donate to a church thrift store where the dollars go to scholarships for local high school graduates. Because of the virus situation, I'm collecting/saving the donation items in my garage for now. Thanks for the tour of your charming area. It is a truly special place to live. Stay safe, Mary.
Thanks for taking us along with you today Mary. A beautiful sunny day. What a lovely tour. Enjoyed all the stops. Loved the garden centre with the bird baths and unique water fountains.
Thank you for the tour! My mother lived in Tuscarawas County before her death in 2001. I visited her very often and we spent many hours running around Sugar Creek, Walnut Creek, Berlin and I've been to many of the places you took us today in the tour. I miss Ohio very much and definitely miss visiting Holmes County. I don't know when I'd ever have the opportunity to go there again but it's always on my mind. 🙂 Hope you and your family stay safe. (I live in Florida now, boring as I'll get out...I only enjoy the winters here).
Everything was so beautiful. I miss that small town life for sure. Where you can find what you are looking for. The gardens was breathtaking . I can see why hours could be spent there. Live the scenery. Thanks for taking me along.
Breathtaking countryside! The "Garden" store and all other stores so clean and well organized. It was good to "get out of the house" 😉 Thanks Mary and wishing your niece a extra special well deserved vacation!! 💛
Such a tranquility place . 🤔Q; do you really have to be Amish to live in such a beautiful place? 😍 love it! God's blessings to you n family from California 🌞
There is just a large Amish population there in Ohio. Not everyone is Amish. I live in Illinois in an area with a lot of Amish. The housing is very separated because when an Amish home comes on the market for sale usually only Amish look at it because it has no electricity or modern conveniences.
Oh my that was so much fun! I live in Ohio, too! I'm up in the very northeast corner of the state, right across the street from Lake Erie so I'm just a few hours from you!! We have been to Holmes County and all of those places so many times and it was so much fun seeing them again!! Thank you for letting us tag along with you!!
This is probably my favorite video you have ever put out. Absolutely beautiful scenery! And the stores were fun to see a peek of. I was glued to this one from start to finish! Thank you so much for sharing your hometown with us.
Wow! Would love to visit Ohio! Looks amazing...I just love the rolling hills. I love the sound of the water fountains too and would be spending lots of time in The Garden store. :)
Hi Mary, My daughter and I visited Holmes County 2weeks ago just because of you. Had such a great time. Visited your booth and bought your book and a candle. We told the owners we were there because of you. Thank you. Everyone knows that when I say," my friend Mary" I am talking about you. God bless.
The hanging dried flowers 💐 😍 The beautiful flowers at the Blessings shop 💛 The plants the plants. The Glory of the Lord. Thank you for taking us w you 💓 💛 💗 💖 ❤ 💕 💓
If that was easy for you...consider doing one of these a month... take us on a picnic at that rest area next time. Please 😃 During covid. We just do not get out of the house 😥 ...those beautiful tree 🌳 lined and tree covered 😍 roads wow wow wow
What a wonderful story this week Mary! I love your work and how genuine you are. Thank you for sharing a part of your world with us. It’s just so lovely!
Thanks for doing this video, I"m from SC, my husband and I use to come to that area 2-3 times a year. But he passed away 23 months ago and I have not been able to get back so this is a wonderful video to me, it takes me back. We loved traveling the back roads and going to family-owned businesses. I have purchased dried flowers for the blessing acre stand, and I still have them.
Your part of Ohio is a truly slice of Heaven and what I wish America could still look like. I was blessed to visit Oak Creek and Millersburg 30 years ago to see my then sister in law and her family. I fell in love with the whole area. Its like stepping into a whole another world. Did get hit with a ton of motion sickness from all the hills and curvy roads! Lol! Hoping someday I'll get to visit again. Thanks for the virtual vaca away from the very hot & bone dry Arizona. I love the greenery you have all around. So beautiful.
💕from Oregon. We had a large Amish furniture store here in Bend Oregon, until the c virus came to town and sadly they closed. My husband is a contractor and specializes in crafting with wood and we loved going in that store to look and speak with the kind gentleman that ran the store. Beautiful craftsmanship.
Thank you for sharing! My husband is from Ohio and the next time we’re back there visiting family I’m definitely going to check out some of these places, especially the fabric store.
My husband and I were able to come up to Holmes county last year for our anniversary. Fell in love with all the community's. Every where was so clean and nice and a different atmosphere of a simply, slower lifestyle. We plan to come back as often as we can. Thanks for the tour. Hope to check out some of these places next time.
Goodness, it looks so peaceful and gorgeous. Unspoiled! I drooled a lot of places but that fabric store was my favorite, I think. Good Fabric stores are so hard to find in California. I would be in my glory! And that furniture store was amazing, such beautiful pieces. Thank you, Mary, this was a fabulous tour.
Hi Mary! Thanks for this video. My 89 year old grandmother lives in Sugarcreek and loves to shop for deals so I’ve been to many of these stores and driven these roads. I cannot visit her because of the virus right now so this made me feel a little closer to her. 💕
That was fun! I enjoyed everywhere you took us. That fabric store was amazing. I’ve never seen so much fabric in one place, so many beautiful choices. Have a great week and thank you for sharing your favorite places.
We visited Holmes County about 10 years ago with another couple! We drove the back roads, enjoyed the beautiful scenery, and visited the cheese factory! The shops were great! It was one of the most relaxing vacations we have ever taken! It was a long distance from Mississippi, and was so worth it! Just love your channel and have ordered from your Etsy Shop!
So beautiful and relaxing.. I live in southern Ohio but have actually visited there but to see it everyday would be a joy. That Gardner place is to die for!
We are here in Amish Country at the Timber Crest RV Park camping and enjoying Amish country. We came through here a few years back but only stayed a couple of nights and moved on. We came this time to stay a few days so we can linger among the countryside and enjoy the wonderful Amish community. Thanks for your tour around and we have made notes to visit some of these fun places while we are here.
My husband and I are in Holmes county visiting from TN right now, until Sat 7/4. We have enjoyed it, and and have driven the back roads SO much, just looking and taking pics of the beautiful scenery and farms. I love it. wish we could have run into you, Mary. maybe next time :)
I come down there often. We have friends in Walnut Creek and have stayed at many of the Inns, hotels and B n B’s. We love this area, it’s almost Heaven❤️ Thank you for the tour.
Thank you for the tour and places of interest. Lynette Yoder now lives in FL but she is from Holmes and was home visiting. She introduced us to Holmes Co., Walnut Creek, etc. I enjoyed seeing your area very much.
Mary, this was just perfect! I love seeing all the stores and plants/restaurants/furniture stores etc.......all lovely and I love that cozy feeling of small area shorps or not so small but definitely I like the homespun feeling they give. This was like being there and I didnt travel 1899 miles to get there. :-) I like that you enjoy these and can share them with us. I have to say your work and decor is every bit as lovely as the stores in fact you could be a designer for any of them. Your taste is excellent and your talents are amazing. I love your channel as it is so peaceful and calming to me I always know I can relax and enjoy when I visit your little corner of RUclips, thank you for that! Blessings and be safe during these holidays!
Love Holmes County. Was there two weeks ago. I visit there at least 2 times a year and love the shopping and the serenity of the surrounding countryside. Thank for your suggestions Mary I will try the places you suggested
love the stores and scenaries... it's a blessing to live where u live...my eyes enjoyed the whole scenary and I was fulfilled...I live in an apartment in NYC with the hustle and bustle, so anytime I can hear and see peaceful places is a big blessing...thank u Mary for this video as well as all the others, they are very pleasant to me. Many Blessings! .
I biked through Holmes County with my 2 daughters this last week! It was part of our ride from Cleveland to Cincinnati. It was indeed beautiful country!
Oh Mary thank you for the beautiful tour. I live in the Cincinnati area and I had no idea how beautiful that part of my state was. I am so ready to visit once I'm in the Columbus area just take a detour and enjoy myself. What a breath of fresh air♥️♥️
I moved from Ohio in 1978 and whenever I see your videos, it reminds me of home. Was not a fan of the snow. I had my youngest son in the blizzard in 1978..I said..never again and moved to Florida.
Enjoyed! I live in Southern Ontario, Waterloo Region where we have a large Mennonite and somewhat smaller Amish communities. I often drive to the many farm stands selling everything from local maple syrup, fruits and vegetables, jams, pickles and lots of baking. The women are very talented sewers making award winning quilts that sell sometimes for thousands of dollars for the Mennonite Central Community. Lot's of farms are also furniture makers, where you can have furniture custom made for you. It's a wonderful community that l feel very lucky to live so close by to!!!
It’s like a 20 minute vacation! I could spend hours in any of those stores. Your area is so beautiful! Thank you.
Good bless
Mary my husband and I were in Homescounty in June .We were in some of the place's you visited. We so much enjoy our time there.
“I stopped!” 😂lol. I assumed you did, it was just cute that you reassured us that you are a conscientious driver. I enjoyed the change of pace. You are so blessed to live in your heavenly county.

I feel the same way! I’ve already been researching places to stay. I also signed up for a couple of newsletters from Holmes County.
Me too
I thoroughly enjoyed your quick travel through Homes County, as I've been more home bound it felt like an adventure.

I live in GA, too. We have some Mennonite communities close by in & around Montezuma.

Sylvia Hunt it made me homesick for the farm and being in Ohio. Glad you have fond memories.
Sadly it's true that most of us will never see this county. So...thank you for the tour Mary...delightful as always, enjoyed it all.

Ummm.. Ohio is in the USA.. anyone can buy property there regardless of religion, race, etc.
There is just a large Amish population there in Ohio. Not everyone is Amish. I live in Illinois in an area with a lot of Amish. The housing is very separated because when an Amish home comes on the market for sale usually only Amish look at it because it has no electricity or modern conveniences.

Of course you don't have to be Amish to live there!
SO BEAUTIFUL, PEACEFUL AND RELAXING. OH, HOW, I WISH I WERE THERE. IT USE TO BE THE SAME WAY HERE IN M C, MD. GOD BLESS US ALL! THANKS FOR SHARING!!
🤍This was fantastic! It's like window shopping and travelling while in lockdown.
God bless.
I am in awe of the beautiful country in which you live. It’s a little slice of heaven!! 😇

Love the beautiful landscapes, it was like a short holiday ride. Tq for sharing.
Thank you for sharing! My husband is from Ohio and the next time we’re back there visiting family I’m definitely going to check out some of these places, especially the fabric store.
Thank You for reminding me of how blessed I am to live in Ohio! Thank You!
O my goodness!!! The Gardens I like being on vacation! You're absolutely right, I would be there for hours! Thanks for sharing. ❤️
So beautiful. Thank you for showing us a little piece of Americana. Much needed at this time in history.
I chilled whilst waiting for my husband to get home. Love the tours. Would love one specifically about the Amish people.
Thank you so much for the tour, I think if I was there I could find something at every spot👏
I wish my Momma were still living to watch your videos. She would love them as much as i do. Thank you for virtual day out. God bless you.
love the stores and scenaries... it's a blessing to live where u live...my eyes enjoyed the whole scenary and I was fulfilled...I live in an apartment in NYC with the hustle and bustle, so anytime I can hear and see peaceful places is a big blessing...thank u Mary for this video as well as all the others, they are very pleasant to me.
Many Blessings!

My eyes just soak up the GREEN!
I live in AZ...don't see a lot of green here. BEAUTIFUL!!! TFS.
I biked through Holmes County with my 2 daughters this last week! It was part of our ride from Cleveland to Cincinnati. It was indeed beautiful country!
A video of you just walking around your property would be awesome, I can't think of anything that would be more relaxing (for us)!!
What a beautiful part of the world you live in, thanks for taking us along.
Hi, Thank you, it was lovely to see!
It look a bit like the contryside here in Sweden and Norway.
Love your channel!🤗
