I live in western Montana and we have both Amish and Mennonite communities nearby. They are so nice and hugely talented as they make and sell their wooden furniture. I guarantee you the furniture will last for generations. Incredible work and talent they have. Now if we could just get a Walnut Creek Foods... 😊❤

I loved this video….Holmes County area is our very favorite get away place. It was so peaceful watching all your children enjoying your grandparents place, especially Oaklyn with those goats! This makes me so happy to see! We live in Ohio. We fell in love with Amish country two years ago. I am in school at OU and we stay in AirB&B’s in Amish country every couple of months between semesters. It's the best place to unwind and support locals. We are heading to Millersburg in a few weeks. It'll be our 7th stay. We always stop at Walnut Creek Cheese to grab goodies for our stay. We mostly visit Berlin and Sugarcreek. Park Street Pizza is our go-to and Ginger House. Thank you for sharing some more ideas!!!

We grew up in rural PA. We couldn't see our grandparents' house from ours but we did walk through fields and woods and cross a small stream to get to their farm. We had a childhood filled with adventures. 5:32 5:32 5:32

Thanks for taking me along with you on your vacation. I was born in Pennsylvania. The Scenery almost made me homesick. I love Pennsylvania but the Winters are just to harsh and long. Out here in Arizona we have just the right amount of all 4 seasons. Loved watching the children feeding the goats and all the kiddos having a ball. 👍

Being from Ohio and very familiar with Holmes County. I always become so nostalgic when you return for visits. I'm in Georgia now, and haven't returned to Ohio for many years. The lovely neat farms are missed.

Really is so lovely up there, the girls really love the farm, don't they? It does amaze me though, how cafe culture & retail are so pervasive - even in such rural areas, there are so many places to stop, grab a cuppa or have a nice meal. They must get a lot of visitors in Holmes County - I wonder if other Amish-areas, like WI & Indiana have changed as much over the last 20-years... Your family's homes are so neat & beautiful - adorable log cabin. Thanks for sharing.

My husband grew up 10 miles East of Zanesville and I grew up in Southern California.
I had never in my life ever heard of Amish. I was so surprised the first time we went to amish country.that was in 1974. Are kids are wanting to send us Some place for our 50th anniversary and they've been talking about an Alaska cruise.but I suggested last week How about going back to Ohio and hanging out in Amish country for a week.?
You know about the time in the fall When everything is so beautiful.it's been five years since I have been there and I remember going to hershbergers, and all around... anyway. I hope that happens and I hope that our 2 kids and grandkids are able to make that really fun trip.
My Favorite bakery is the amish door in wilmot in the back of the restaurant.I Absolutely love their whoopie pies and hand pies.and would always would go to yaggy's cheese and a lot of these places that you have. Shown us today..love your channel?

The smoke here in metro Detroit has varied in intensity as well. We had a few days in July when it was like thick fog. Sometimes it smells bad. Some have taken to wearing their facemasks again in an effort to diffuse the odor and filter out some of the irritants. We have air quality reports regularly, if the report is poor I stay indoors. It hasn't made for an enjoyable summer, but some have it much worse than we do.
Anyone else notice the kids dancing around in the background behind the window at 1:50? 😂

What a credit to your culture that the farms and landscape are so beautiful, serene, and productive. It must seem like a very slow pace compared to your Florida life, but there are probably a lot of people who would prefer that! Kaden carrying Harper on his shoulder was amazing. He is a young man already. No surprises with Jackson winning the races. He looks like he would be very fast. First time seeing some mother son time. Love that. God has blessed you and your family. Hope you always stay close to your roots.
In some ways it’s slower. But people are really busy up there ☺️ somehow though the impression is always that stuff is quiet and slow. But everyone I know is super busy and there’s always a ton of work that goes along with farming/ gardening etc. We don’t have that. So in all reality I think we’re less busy than they are in some ways. Not in all - obviously. But more goes on than meets the eye 😁
We live in the Columbus area and love going here!!! It is a time to unplug and just enjoy a peaceful time!

I grew up an hour south of Holmes county and moved to Lancaster county pa 14 years ago. We used to go up to Holmes county many times a year to shop or visit other churches. This made me long to go back for a visit. I loved shopping there. It is not like living here in pa.
