Mary - i just visted Millersburg (and stayed at the beautiful Sparrow's Nest cittage!!) a week ago. I grew up in Ohio and I remember the old Hoosier cabinet from my Grandmothers home. I loved all of the old things in her home and have many with me in Florida now. I miss those Ohio days sometimes! Such wonderful things! Brought back a lot of memories!

When you mentioned that rest area on 39 it reminded me of a trip my husband and I made up there in the spring of 2000. I was pregnant with my oldest and really needed a bathroom! We stopped at a very “rustic” rest area. Let’s just say no running water, really bad smelling outhouse style bathroom and pregnancy don’t mix. 😂 We love visiting Holmes County. You’ve given me a couple of new places to visit.

The last place you took us was so pretty!! Both of the pieces of furniture that you loved I loved too!!! 275.00 wasn’t bad for the first one, and the second one wax chef’s kiss stunning! 1175.00 is pretty steep but it’s so pretty.
✍Hello Mary I love hearing the bells. We downsized to a smaller home to another city here in Ohio. The bells from a couple of the churches would ring everyday but people complained and sadly the bells were stopped from ringing and 1 church had to remove their bells...So sad

I live in southern Indiana. I took a weekend trip with a friend and her daughter in law a couple of weeks back. We drove to Kidron, OH. We visited Lehmans, spent the night at the Inn at Amish Door, and then drove back roads stopping at thrift stores, antique malls, and flea markets. We visited Mission Thrift in Berlin, too! I discovered Holmes County and your area quite a number of years ago. Last year we were there in the summer and I found some pretty pieces of fabric at Mission thrift. I think we visited 10 different thrift stores in the area. So much fun. Thanks for a trip down memory lane. Love the area and you.
I love this area. my husband and I were there in June. and actually, ate at the same place there in sugar creek right around the corner from that big clock. very nice area. we like to go thru the little towns and stop at the different stores. We have not been to the ones here you had mentioned. We will be back next year. I just love the rolling hills and the windy county roads. just a beautiful area. thank you for sharing. Genie : )

I live about 40 min away and ALWAYS love going down there! Went about a month ago and the flowers, pumpkins and gourds were just lovely!
