Great video brother. You rarely see “Armor Piercing” Slugs actually live up to the name. Im impressed. Now if these were commonly available I would die a happy man lol
These were apparently loaded by Fiocchi, but they are FIER slugs from France. Also available in civilian flare for hunting (the penetrator isn't made of steel, in that case).
Goes to show that 12 gauge really is the most versatile of calibers. Do you mind sharing where you sourced the 3A steel panel from? The vendors I see only sell Kevlar or UHMWPE in 3A. As an aside, when you put the 3A steel in front of the 3A Kevlar, it reminded me of the A3 plate from Armored Republic, which is AR500 in front of UHMWPE.
I actually purchased the 1/4” ar500 pates on eBay earlier this year. I was able to get 6 plates for about $100. Unfortunately the only place I’ve been able to find them since then is from Tactical Scorpion Gear. They sell 2 ar500 level 3A plates for about $55.
@@BuffRANGE I was actually thinking of testing the last few slugs that I have against level III AR500 and level III PE. I’m afraid the steel penetrator wouldn’t stand a chance against ceramic. However, I do have a slug that I feel might have a chance against ceramic. It contains a tungsten core but only travels around 1400fps, so maybe 🤔 P.s. love watching your channel, so I’ll put this test up soon. Let me know if there’s ever another test or anything I can help out with 👍.
@@BuffRANGE unfortunately I cannot find them. These were supplied by a former Texas SWAT officer purchased around 1990. I found a similar slug design from FIER ammunition the M.S.F.A. design. Unfortunately I cannot find a place to purchase. www.fier-ammunition.com

Thanks. I agree and wish I would have been given a few more just to test against a higher level body armor or different barriers.
Would like to see these against lvl 4 ceramic

@@3RBallistics I appreciate the info.
Interesting. Would be interesting to test these against a Level III PE or Ceramic strike face.
