You might consider yourself an expert in air travel, but we bet that we can name a few things you are doing wrong that might put you in a dangerous or just plain disgusting situation. We all hate feeling dehydrated on a plane, but if you are reaching for a glass of tap water, or a cup of soda filled with ice, you could be exposing yourself to a serious amount of bacteria. There are also a few areas that you might not think would be chock full of germs, but you shouldn’t touch unless you happen to have some antibacterial wipes on hand. These include the tray table, seat pocket, and the plane wall near the window. We know the latter seems like the perfect place to rest your head, but that’s what all the people before you thought as well! In fact, since you are about six miles closer the the sun than normal, avoiding the window seat altogether might not be the worst idea in the world. You may wonder what the harm is in not putting your phone on airplane mode for the duration of the flight, but the resulting signal search can prove to be a serious distraction to your pilots. We feel like this one shouldn’t have to be said, but since it happens about once a week, we are going to go ahead and remind you not to open up the emergency exit door unless you have already landed and there is a real emergency. Yes, that means even if you really want to try sliding down the rubber emergency slide.

Okay, this doesn't really have anything to do with the video, but once on a plane, I was seven years old at the time, and I had the isle seat. Across from me, there was a man that looked to be in his sixties, Later, I was playing on my tablet and the man started having a heart attack, being the seven year old I was, I had absolutely no clue what was happening and kept asking him "Are you okay?" Over and over, the person sitting next to him was currently in the bathroom and my mom wasn't paying attention. He finally choked out a "I'm having a heart attack." Now, I was completely oblivious to heart attacks, I had no clue what they were at the time, but it didn't sound or look good, so what I did was I unbuckled my seatbelt and ran to the front of the plane, screaming, "There's a man having a heart attack back there!!" At everyone, we had to make an emergency landing to get him to a hospital. I still don't know if he made it, but I really hope he did. It was a traumatic experience but hey? I guess I might've saved his life?? Maybe??

A lot of these aren't entirely true. All international flights get a proper cleaning. The tray tables get washed, the pillows and blankets are fresh and wrapped in a plastic that you have to tear open. I agree with not drinking the tap water, but the coffee and tea are okay to drink because they do boil the water. I have flown many times through out my life and not once have I ever gotten sick from touching or drinking anything on the flight. Quit trying to scare people!
But the tap water thing in 2019 a lot of airlines use water from water bottles that you find at grocery stores. BUT I totally agree with you.

I am twelve years old.I flew business to japan once,my flight is at 1a.m. I was instructed not to open the window.I tried opening the window to see the sunrise but they asked me to close it down.

That is while you're in the air. The reason why they asked you to keep it closed is because during the flight they keep the cabin darker so it's easier for people to sleep. If someone is opening a window and letting the sun in, it makes it harder for people to sleep and tends to make people very irritable. While in flight, it's polite to keep the shades closed on long international flights so people can sleep. I fly international flights at least once a year.

One time, when me and my family were traveling back home on a JetBlue flight, we had a passenger across the plane just plain on snoring. It's not like we have noise canceling headphones to block the snoring. So next time you're in economy class in any flight, plan on bringing your own ear plugs and your own noise canceling headphones (if you have a pair) good tip if someone decides to snore or decides to make any unconditional noises to ruin your pleasant flight. 😁
I was flying to Australia , meaning I had to get 3 planes. The 1st plane was 3 hours , the 2nd plane was 14 hours and the 3rd plane was 8 hours. Every single person that was sitting in front of me pushed their chairs back all the way, straight away. Hey, I’m just saying that there isn’t enough leg room the way it is 🤷♀️

I get how someone could sleep through a landing, or at least right down to final approach. How could someone be asleep during a takeoff? Perhaps, if the plane was waiting for hours to take off, but even then, I would wake up for the takeoff.

Sophester Animates the middle seat is almost my best friend. Sure you're crammed between people but I have major anxiety issues especially on planes (imagine having a 3 hour anxiety attack on a small plane) so being close to someone (luckily I was with family), and having that small space was oddly comforting and really helped. So it depends on the person

Soo once I was on an airplane then i was coming back from the bathroom and by the way I was still small, anyways when I arrived to my seat and was about to sit a woman literally fell on the ground in front of me and it made an extremely LOUD sound on the floor, I stud FROZEN there and was soooo SCARED, but then the woman was unconscious I think and she didn't wake up so then I saw a flight attendant and I was scared to death so I called her and she came with something and at that point I thought we were going to do an emergency landing but we didn't cuz after a bit the woman woke up :) And they brought water and juice for her and thankfully she was ok :D And I felt sooo happy for helping :) :D (Sorry if this was soo long.)
