    Thanks trying this on a client today who has a problem with dorsi flexion from a football injury, and sending her home with some tape and a reference to your video. I need to get some of your tape, it's much longer than KT brand and really beautiful. Thank you!

      Thanks for your feedback. Yes, the Dynamic Tape has much stronger resistance and recoil and we have a new PowerBand TM product being launched very soon so you will not need to layer tapes together to make a PowerBand as we have done previously. Please check www.dynamictape.com for information for clinicians. There are options for clinicians to access tape, to access more education and resources, and potentially partner with us in some way. You can also reach us easily through the support ticket on the website. Thanks again.

    This video is better w/ the top view for me. I’ve had foot drop for 7yrs. Even after microdisc/laminectomy for L5,S1. 3mos ago, remaining disc re-herniated causing the outside of my foot to painfully, noticeably curl inward. Can u a video for that please. Thanks

      Thank you very much for the feedback and good luck. The disc may well scar and retract back off the nerve root permitting more recovery over time. While the Dynamic Tape cannot accelerate that process it might allow you to walk with a more normal gait pattern and address some of the painful curling in, improve your stability and reduce the likelihood of catching your toe etc. particularly on uneven ground.

    May I ask when/where should one do this taping procedure during the recovery phase?

    • @DynamicTape
      @DynamicTape  2 года назад

      It depends on the cause and your aim but can generally be applied throughout the recovery just in slightly different ways e.g. more support/resistance to the foot dropping down might be required if there is very little muscle activity. The ECO tape might be used for this purpose, double layers etc. If there is some muscle activity but not quite sufficient to overcome gravity, then the classic tape with more recoil might be used to help spring the toe up during the swing phase etc.

    Just found this information today. I have had foot drop since 2009 when a doctor cut my perineal nerve. How can I learn how to apply the tape and where can I purchase some.

      Hi Cheryl, thanks for your message. You can purchase tape directly on www.dynamictape.com in some countries or you can find contact details for our distributors. If your Physio or other healthcare provider has experience with applying Dynamic Tape, they might be able to assist you if you want more guidance than that provided in the videos. We do advise that the videos are for information purposes only and recommend seeking professional assistance. Depending on the degree of foot drop and the amount of assistance required, different Dynamic Tape products can be used or multiple layers may be employed to increase the resistance and recoil. The ECO is more for holding whereas the original and the PowerBand are more for the spring and assistance.

    How do you know if it’s everted or the other way? I have a slight foot drop but I haven’t noticed if it turns in or turns out

      Hi Todd, good question. Do you tend to land more on the outside of your foot or do you have a really flat arch? If it is not obvious and you do not feel like you are likely to roll over on your ankle then the main thing you probably need is the resistance to the foot dropping down/assistance to it coming back up. Sometimes you can do an ankle locking type of idea which stabilises in both directions also if you not trying to address one particular direction. A Physio or similar healthcare provider could advise.
