My foot drop will NEVER get better because of MS. I HATED the Medicare issued AFO brace because not only did the brace cause discomfort, I was limited to what shoes I could wear (usually two sizes larger than my true size and in wide width to accommodate the AFO). I finally saved enough cash to buy the Saebo brace since watching this video last year. Night and day for comparison. My gait is the same BUT without the bulkiness. And shoes that are my size! It felt weird at first, however, my leg and foot were finally comfortable. Even though I still use a cane, I appreciate Bob and Brad for showing something I never knew existed. PEACE
I had a stroke on February 17, 2022. I have used the Saebo brace on my left foot for approximately two months. You may need assistance with the initial setup, but it is easy to put on. This brace works best for someone with an active lifestyle and you don't have balancing issues. It feels more natural because nothing is inserted inside your shoe. If you have issues with your ankle rolling in or out, I would recommend a more stable AFO like the plastic brace in the video. I also have a carbon fiber AFO that I alternate with my Sabeo brace. The only issue I have with my Saebo brace is that the brace will slide down my ankle with my sock throughout my day because I have skinny ankles. The strings that pulls my toes up will also loosen when the brace slides down my ankle. Therefore, I have to tightened it repeatedly to raise my toes enough to clear the ground when I walk.
I had a stroke decades ago, and have tried so many different afos and such. They each do something well, and of course things not so well. This is by far the least invasive and most effective brace for daily use that I have found!
Recd mine a few days ago and was amazed at how it works and how comfortable it is. I have had a drop foot due to back surgery about 5 years ago am this is the best thing I have found for it. Thanks for this video.
I had Guillain Barre disease 3 years ago. It compromised both my legs and arms and hands. For my legs I had been wearing the white braces in different shapes; from the really thick ones to the more thin and flexible model. In fact, probably by the end of this week I will be getting a new model, similar to one called Comfit AFO , made by a swedish firm called Embreis. Mine is being made of fiberglass. We hope it's going to come up as thin and also as flexible as if it were made out of carbon fiber. My goal is to be able to wear it everyday with my normal footware and be able to walk and even drive my car with them on. Normally at home or work I don't require them. But when it comes to go out on the street and walk long distances I definitely require them. I will let you know if they work for me. Very nice instructive videos. I appreciate it then a lot. Thank you both for your help.
The drop foot brace made by Ossur has served me well for my extreme drop foot. It is easy to put on, get inside any shoe, comfortable, and at $50 to $60 it's way less expensive. I'm now considering the Richie Brace. There's a model for side to side stability and drop foot.
I have MS and have drop foot. Even though I have flex in my ankle, I can’t lift my toes when walking which cause me to stumble and trip. I tried the Stable Step and it hurts my angle. I did pay a lot of money for a Walk Aid device but find the electric shock it gives that helps lift my toes can be uncomfortable. The Smart Step brace works the best so far.
I have a foot drop due to an illness, I had as a baby and I am 90% paralyzed on my left side. I wear a metal AFO that is attached to the shoe. The plastic brace that I tried hurt my foot so bad and I was still wearing out the toe of my shoe. The metal brace is so comfortable and lets me do the activities that I really enjoy such as square dancing.
Sorry to hear of your illness, I have Cmt disease and 2 drop feet. I have been wearing the white plastic Afo's- I hate them, what is the name of your metal brace and where did you get it.? Everything is so manly looking. Nothing feminine and light.
@@joyceannetesta701 It is the old fashioned AFO that were popular in the 50's. That was the only brace I could wear. The physiotherapist at Rehab Centre ordered them. I also had an appointment with a Physical and Reconstruction Specialist. I did try the plastic brace but I still wore out the toe of my shoe and there were times I could not wear it because it hurt so much. The metal brace which is attached to the shoe has never let me down,.
I’m an RN who didn’t realize I had loss of feeling in my foot or foot drop until laying in bed and realized I couldn’t dorsiflex my foot. We don’t know why I have it. I did have L4-5 surgery last fall but had a CT and they say no impingement. No stroke, it’s weird. But I had a hip injury (torn labrum, torn gluteus medius and minimus and a horrible bursitis) and I rolled my ankle anf\d fractured it. So I was in a boot. Then I fell two more times thinking it was the hip until I realized I was stubbing my toe, and the other day I ended up with a spiral fracture in my 5th metatarsal. I’m still trying to figure it out, and have kegs scheduled but I’m only 60 and very bummed that I may have to live with this forever. Also have a boot on each leg for fractures because of it! Darn. 💩
I was flaccid at first. But I’ve improved a lot since 2015 when I got it. But I still need to continue and improve. I got a TBI and that took away from my left foot. For some reason
I broke my neck a centimeter above my spine and laid on the ground on my back with my forehead on the ground. Until a firefighter fixed that and gave me CPR to revive me from my loss of any breath for I assume hrs
Welander distal myopathy is also a source of foot drop. Usually you see the hands curling in first tho. Most often the first sign is not being able to erect your middle finger straight. My dad became symptomatic 40 years ago at 37. (Only in my families world can you get a rare disease you can't even flip the bird at. LOL )
I recently had a stroke at 36 and suffer from foot drop I had an AFO made, but it is extremely hard to get in my shoe because of how bulky it is basically I just wanted to thank you for introducing this. I believe it will be a game changer for me. I like that you can wear any pair of sneakers and I don’t have to take over 30 minutes and require assistance to put it on. What do you recommend for wearing when you don’t have shoes on? My toes constantly scraping the ground or my foot gets caught on carpets or anything anything with a lip.
Omg this is me I swear I normally wear a 8 in women due to my drop foot I now how to wear 9 .5 In men because if the AFo. I didn’t have a stroke I was in a bad car accident..
I've had foot drop for 3 years and a pinched peroneal nerve from a torn miscues surgery, it's gotta a little better but still walk with a gate that give me lower back pain, and i hate my afo
hey I know how it feels but I have upper pain cause of bone spurs digging into my spinal cord. I was in a wheel chair in 93 they said not walk again ever and I said (:P) yes I will and I did my feet have had surgeries cause of the way I walked caused them to break I walked on my tippy toes cause of the head injury but get yourself a recumbment bicycle and lotion for your feet and make your feet happy aroma therapy and lots of love.
yes its better 20 years later you get used to it and you learn how to lift your knees up higher when you walk, Maybe you will lose some weight like I did and become a Model because you walk like your on the cat walk lol some days are good some days it just drags but its been a long time for me and a rough life Ive been through a alot of wrecks a lot of beat downs oh to many to count so Im doing excellent just being here. ;) Glad to make your acquaintance
yes its better but it is a little dead feeling still on the top of my foot but Ive got so much going on I dont even notice sometimes when I am tired now I drag it but Ive learned to pick up my knee
@Jennifer Rodriguez sorry I know how it is really Ive had mine for ever since 1993 yeah and scars on my thighs and my arms and my back and collar bone sticking out and my hand is all crippled looking yeah baby oh your 18 and youve had it since you were 10 goodness bless your sweet heart I love you I am so sorry all you can do is rub lotion on it exercise it take good care of your feet and legs take good care of your body, Theyve said the same thing to me walking like frankinstein that was harsh too, but whatever lol Im sure I popped off with something too anyways he liked me and you are a woman at least you have that much going for you you have your femininity your hair your eyes and smile, that my darlin is all you need and a good attitude,,, when you need it ;) you will do fine, Fine just Fine you are Young and a woman you will do fine and to me you have been very polite and seem very sweet you have a lot going for you, I had scars all over my body my 18th birthday too I was in the hospital for it. Dont let it get you down you have time to figure it out and it will work out I started getting so good I was jogging I was in good shape I mean my body was good except for the scars and stuff people wont pay attention to the scars oddly enough they didnt even notice mine and they are hideous. ((hug)) Im going to pray for you Jennifer Rodriguez you are special and you are going to go far dont forget about that nothing can stop you, its not like you have a brain injury like I do but either way I did good too nursing and all kinds of stuff do your thing
I developed left foot drop following a bilateral fasciotomy on my left calf after having a heart probe inserted in the left groin and developing compartment syndrome . The post-op care was seriously screwed up. Rehab did not fully correct the problem, and my gait has been off for the past 15 years. I have the pelvic lift gait typical of foot drop sufferers. I don't use any prosthetics and I manage without a cane. However, I can't hurry up, jump or run. I am 71 now, so, not likely to regain any losses.
I have to wear mine with an ankle brace cos when my foot pronates or supinates (i think theyre th right words) my fibula head pops but that thing has helped me have my first not too wobbly walk in ages. Now i just need to build my muscle back up and hopefully not have sciatic pain for life
The physio put one on me and I wanted to run but he said, Don't rush it.'. When I do finally buy the cuff brace I plan to run on grass first, in case I fall...but yes, I'm all for running with it!
I took a nap and woke up .. I'm 40 years old and nothing was wrong after I left work or laid down.. but now I can't raise my toes or foot upwards towards my body and if I don't raise my leg high I fall walking! I never heard of this but sure am now!
Y’all need to review Xtern. It’s a Canadian company that makes the best foot drop brace. I’ve had mine for a couple of years. Can run without tripping and would rather wear my braces than take them off. The guy is super nice.
May I ask sir, my mother is a larger woman and I want to order her one of these... do they do a one size fits all or do they have multiple sizes? Is there a certain model of the brace that is best? Thank you. I hope you have time to reply!
@@No_more_iced_tea thank you so much! I really appreciate this. I'd never heard of this company. I live in America and have yet to find anything that helps my mother. Blessings to you and yours!
Por qué dice subtítulos en castellano y no hay ninguna traducción? Son temas importantes para muchas personas. Estoy hace casi un año esperando recuperar el pie luego de una caída. Por qué la rodilla se va hacia adelante? Es un problema del isquiático?
try walking when you can as much as possible maybe a treadmill or a gym where you can go the slowest speed if not try the bicycle the recumbment bike it will help your muscles
Maybe, it depends on what the problem is. If you can talk to your dr about physical therapy. If not I've been using resistance bands to help strengthen the muscles there. I still have to use one for work or whenever I'm going to be walking long time but I dont for shorter trips anymore. I have a degenerative nerve disorder so eventually I'll have to use them all the time (basically wont be able to tell my foot to lift) but strengthen them as much as possible should delay it
Thanks for the info. I have drop foot after lower back spinal stenosis surgery. I had blood clot that touched some nerve and my left foot was completely numb after the surgery. They tell me the nerves will get better but could take some time. It’s 8 months now and only slightly better. I tried the plastic brace but too uncomfortable. May give this try.
Hi, I had a stroke twelve years ago that left me with foot drop in my left foot...I have not tried any of the braces, etc. but this looks promising. However I am contemplating the perispinal etanercept procedure, just liquid embrel injected in the base of the spine while the head is inverted. The Mayo clinic is one of but a few clinics that administer this procedure, the other being the two physicians who patented the procedure and thus too costly for most over the seven year patented period. My question is has anyone had the procedure and did it work, usually within minutes of the injection.
Hi Guys!! Help! Just got the SaeboStep and for the life of me, I cannot figure out how to secure that TEENY TINY TEENY eyelet screw - NO bolts included, just a washier - made by and for miniature people who have Eagle like eyesight. And voila! A miniature Allen wrench made by the masochists from Ikea also included. PLEASE, HOW DID YOU SECURE IT? Please Please make a short video on how to do that. Thank you so much. You videos are wonderful and I would so appreciate your help - I have bad Foot Drop and I need that Saebo Step! 🥰🥰🥰 I am a subscriber. Thanks for everything.
This is amazing! I've been fighting ms for 19 years. I had some luck with a Bioness, until spacisity in my quad took over. I can't believe this is only $110. Thanks for your channel!
@@puppydog12000 if that's all it takes, then you don't really have drop foot. Drop foot is caused by nerve damage. If only wearing comfortable shoes cured nerve damage. If only.
yes I do I have nerve damage I had my brain split open and lots of stuff it took years to get better I mean decades but you get used to it and you learn how to lift your leg higher and to the side @Marti Sleister
and I have torn muscles on my knee and leg also I have damage all over my body you are stupid if you think that faith and practice persistence doesnt work because it does
@Marti Sleister yes I do I have it all over I jad the right side of my brain sliced opened and the back side tore apart and my body just as much and broken bones torn musc;es and if you rhin persistence and faith doesnt work YOU ARE WRONG!!! it took years and a lot of walking a lot of stair stepping and a lot of pain. YOU ARE STILL WRONG!
I was in a terrible car accident and my right knee was completely damaged and I severed a nerve right at my knee. My foot feels like it wants to get better but it won’t.
Courtney you will get better never give up you look so young like I was when I had my car accident I couldn't move my left leg torn muscle above the knee and they said Id never walk again. I think its because of the neurological damage they just assumed that BUT HAVE FAITH BABY GIRL YOU WILL GO FAR!!!!!!!!!!!! NOBODY CAN STOP YOU
I ended up getting my tendon transferred last year for my foot drop. My surgeon told me a month after surgery to take my foot out of my boot and teach my mind to pull my foot up. My foot twitched and then it started pulling up on its own I cried like a baby that day.
Thank you for your awesome explanation of what foot drop! I do not have this thank goodness! I am just experiencing sensitivity all around the ankle and i keep my foot in a frozen position because i worry of hurting it. I’m in 5 weeks from my ankle injury.
I had this for around 9 years and didn’t know exactly what it was. I have a brace and is helping a lot. The one I have was given to me at UCLA Thanks for your info.
This saebo brace is for a pure drop foot. The big white plastic brace also controls medio-lateral stability and has a plantarflexion stop so will also control knee hyperextension. They have 2 different functions so you can't say one is better than the other. An orthotist will be able to assess each patient and say which one is most appropriate.
I was given something very similar to this when is was an inpatient after my stroke. It does the same thing but was easier to use and install however you must have laced shoes. It was called a Dictus Band. It was amazingly helpful. After a few months a Physio therapist used a shock gizmo attached just below my knee with a trigger under my heel so when weight was taken off my heel it fired and lifted my foot (I couldn’t lift my foot at all). After only 2 fifteen sessions with that my brain found which muscles to fire and I was 100% better than it was. Still not perfect but a lot closer than I was.
I have been foot dropping on my right leg since one year. I had disc slipped L5 , I had surgery two in one year for foot drop removing but I couldn't success and still foot drop on my right leg.
I'm going on 11 years with mine. I'm one of those you see tripping over nothing at all 😂 ("Just testing gravity." Or "Who put that floor there?!") Don't give up hope, friend. My best advice is to stick with your physical therapy (whether administered to you or something you do at home). I wish I'd done better with mine. I definitely have improved a TON over time (Praise God!), but I can only imagine how much better it would be if I had been disciplined. I'm here because I want to get back into better habits with it. Keep your chin up (even if your foot won't 😉). I'll be praying for you guys!
I'm 28 and its been 3 months, I have flaccid foot drop. Mine was caused by being on ventilator in a coma for 21 days. I had ammonia kidney dialysis fluid sucked out of my lungs 2 blood transfusion temporarily paralized. Ect. Anyways if its nerve damage, you need to be on heavy duty vitamins and keep up with your pt. My pts told me being on these vitamins restores 1/8th of and inch in nerve growth a day. And over the course of months to years its significant. Its never over especially if you're young.
@lucasggellis4762 what vitamins did your pt recommend I've been given yoga exercises to release strain for my back none of these exercises but if the vitamins help great ! I'm 24 and has been ongoing for over a year use to be able to walk in heels and after the covid isolation I suddenly couldn't 😢
I have had foot drop now for 4 years. I do PT everyday with no improvement. I did not not want to go this route , but it is time for a brace. I was wondering what the follow up was on this product. I like it because it looks like I still would be able to move my ankle and knee. Please do let me know. This PD has cheated me out of so much. Thank you
I’ve had drop foot since I was 7 and it’s already been 8 miserable years. I always fall on my toes and walk slow. My drop foot is completely unmovable -it’s numb and I can’t move any part of my foot or toes. I wear that brace that bob had -the one that rubs the skin and gets hot during the summer. My calf is numb too. Is there any way to fix this? Will this work for me?

Does anyone have suggestions for good men’s sneakers for people with drop foot(and a bad knee)? They are for a 65-year-old man so hopefully steal some style and fashion along with the function. Thanks in advance
Gee, from what I had heard of the SaeboStep, I thought it povided biofeedback to the ankle as well. Saebo sure makes the pricetag steep enough that it should be doing that.
I have foot drop on my left foot as a result from polio. I noticed on Amazon they have several similar foot braces to the Saebo which are much less expensive. I wonder if they are as effective.
411STRYKERT1 - have you found anything promising? I have the same issue, foot-drop from sciatica. I’ve been walking and stretching and hoping that one day it will miraculously return to normal. Has not yet, now considering phys therapy.
dthomp1 I've tried a couple of things I looked up on the net but I havent seen any progress. Right now I've been stretching the lower back and ham strings. I'm still having a little pain in my lower back and on the side of my leg between my knee and ankle. I can't believe this takes so long to heal.
411STRYKERT1 yep I’ve been doing the same. Frustrating. I have partial control (able to move my left foot up and down) but it still drops when I walk. Mine went from sciatic nerve (left side), then the peroneal nerve (knee to ankle), then to the pudendal nerve (groin), all have improved except the foot.
Hi guys, I have foot drop from a similar situation. I actually herniated a disc in my lower back and that put so much pressure on my sciatic nerve that my foot went numb as well as the side of my leg. I recently had spine surgery called a microdicectomy and I still haven’t had any luck with my foot drop. Hoping it will get better over time!
I want to buy your product for foot drop in my both legs. Please suggest me how can i purchase it. I live in india in Delhi. Please also tell me price of this products.
I stopped using my orthotic, and began to experience knee pain because leg would flex too far backwards...will this deviice keep the leg from flexing backwards?
Ì have this too. Have abiut 50% dorsisflexion...foot is half the strength of the other. Big toe just hangs there! I ride my bike an hour a day, do general yoga exercises, persist with calf raises, and have modified my arch suppirts with stick on neoprene. For some reason, walking in my ankle boots with a liw heel feels very stable. Your big toe is your push off for the end of your step, so let yoyr step be short if that is easier. I have a cane I use to keep my body aligned, as the twist your body will try to do is hard on the back. I also used the toe lifting brace and it felt great!!
I got foot drop , after I broke my leg, the nerve fell asleep and I don’t know if it will ever wake up... and I really don’t want to have surgery, but if I don’t get it to wake up, I will have to ...
Hello! I was in a coma for 4 weeks and bedridden for 8 months..with a year of physical therapy I was able to get back on my feet..I still have drop foot in my left foot..even after 3-4 years of physical therapy. Do y’all think that these exercises can repair my drop foot or is there possible permanent nerve damage?
Bless you I hope it gets better I have profound foot drop spasticity they call it I have barely no movement what's so ever for 12 years now ..try and get a carbon fibre brace they are so light weight ..and fit better into shoes ..and brilliant with sketchers ..sometimes we just have to make the best of what we have ...but I wish you better keep doing exercises with elastic ..it will stop muscles waste to much and remember nerves heal at a very slow pace .. x
Are foot drop and foot spasticity the same thing?? Do you treat both the same?? Should you know with out a doubt what condition you have?? After a stroke, I spent allot of time trying to treat foot drop when I actually had spasticity and it was never treated until 2 years after my stroke. There is a huge difference between the two and they are treated very differently. Best to find out what your condition is before treating.
I was in a car accident Dec. 9th 2021 and had mini strokes , also broke hip and pelvis. I have foot drop and I have no feeling in my hip and thigh and calf and ankle. I have an AFO and it's very uncomfortable. My problem is without that brace under my foot my toes curl under in my shoe. Has anyone else have this problem? Dr seems to think mine is permanent.
I have a ruptured ATFL, supposed to have surgery, but seeking a secondary opinion to see if stem cell treatment would work. I've been taking extra caution walking, and lifting foot so I'm not lazy and dragging my toe and possibly tripping and falling... Again 😒
Hi, my daughter is a GBS survivor and has just been released from a rehabilitation hospital. I'm in a country that has a national health system and I can not afford private treatment unfortunately. She still has foot drop and was given this device. My question is if you could please give me the correct advice 🙏 would this device hinder her muscle recovery because it is not elasticated?
Just paid a fortune for an AFO. I'm afraid I'll break it inserting it. Can you please make a video on how to insert an AFO? Mine takes up my entire shoe.
Will you pls help me with my problem......After SCI L2 burst facture..... I gained some plantar flexion.... I am still working on my dorsiflexion left leg its been more than 2 years.... What are the chances of getting dorsiflexion back...... I am still working on calf muscles strengthening protocol....
Hey you Guys, I had complete foot drop after I played basketball. It was like it was completely paralyzed. The movement slowly came back after a few hours of paralysis. It has happens twice now in the same foot. What should I do?
Thank you for all you do for those with foot drop issues. Starting about a year ago, I started having moderate foot drop on my left side and sever foot drop on my right side. There was no particular event that brought this on. The neurosurgeon I saw suggested fusion surgery for L4-L5 but didn't really convince me that it would solve the problem. I did have a microdiscectomy in the same spot in 2003. Anyhow, beside the usual problem, my balance is terrible and I find I need a walker most of the time to keep myself from falling. If I could solve the balance issue or improve it substantially, I think it would be very helpful in improving the quality of my life. Do you have any suggestions focused on the balance issue? Thank you again.
MS makes balance a hug problem for me. I hope your doctor has been thorough in testing. MS was missed for several years in my situation. Blessings, and apologies for unsolicited advice.
I got grased to the spine by bullet I crawled ma self up till I started walking 💪🏻 Right foot I can push down only cause I drive ma self like that never wanted the drivin kit & left foot got afo cause my sciatic nerve is weak. Nerve wasn’t cut or none just bullet grase
I have foot drop from an auto accident. I think it's nerve damage because part of my leg under my knee is numb. I had a custom brace and it started hurting like hell so I didn't use it. I just cannot lift my foot when I have weight on it. I do fine when it's free of any weight (in bed, for example), but walking looks weird. Embarrassing.
I realize that this is an older video but I am looking for some clarification if someone could just please answer my question. In the video are you saying that if your heel does Not hit the floor and is consistently raised that this brace can not be used? Thank you in advance for your clarification
Dont worry bout the laughs. I'm 57 and understand that if (they) cry,it affects us all. But if they laugh, then at least they're happy. I dont take it personally. I dont see it as "at my expense", because i do not give anyone power of authority over my spirit. If you begin to just smile back at them, then you will notice those that are good and bad that laugh. The bad ones will stand out like a sore thumb because they laugh to get a rush out of our (bad) reaction to their laughing at us,then figure out they cant upset us anymore, and show power of authority over us,as they get mad and go find someone else to try to put down. The good ones will stop laughing after that because they are too young to know they are being mislead by an idiot that idolizes hatred. 😊
People should not laugh at you but if they do, try not to listen to them :) Here is a video series that might help: ruclips.net/video/9fXLmuLvcw8/видео.html

Nice to hear it helped. I may try- i hate these white afo's, the saebo look very cumbersome though- I hope they come in white.
I have foot drop due to brain surgery. Gonna try find out more about this
I had a stroke decades ago, and have tried so many different afos and such. They each do something well, and of course things not so well. This is by far the least invasive and most effective brace for daily use that I have found!

A custom AFO works so much better and is often covered by insurance.
I have limited Mobility but I would like to try this due to the plastic one hurts my foot this is an ingenious way to do it
Thank you. I needed this, cause my drop foot does not wanna get better.

Darn. 💩
Thanks for the review. I too have a patient this will work nicely for. Love your videos!
I go on a hike every weekend with a group and at some point on uneven terrain I'll go tripping forward. I trip on flat ground also.
Thx guys! The instructions suck. You explained it clearly and made it easy.
I am sorry for those questions. I found the info. Thank You
I’ve been using the Saebo Step for 2 years from watching your video and demo, haven’t used a Cain ever
A therapist as Madonna had me use one of those ankle braces to teach me to walk again
LOL )
I have one of these really works well. unfortunatly I have too much spasticity to keep using it
Multiple sclerosis is also one of the causes of foot drop. It sucks 😔

Way better than the afo i got.my afo Hurt and limited how much i could strengthen my leg and ankle. The saebo really increased my walking distance.
Аnd what now??? Better?
yes its better 20 years later you get used to it and you learn how to lift your knees up higher when you walk, Maybe you will lose some weight like I did and become a Model because you walk like your on the cat walk lol some days are good some days it just drags but its been a long time for me and a rough life Ive been through a alot of wrecks a lot of beat downs oh to many to count so Im doing excellent just being here. ;) Glad to make your acquaintance

What about POST COVID Neuropathy? Any comments?
Me. It's awful

I have to wear mine with an ankle brace cos when my foot pronates or supinates (i think theyre th right words) my fibula head pops but that thing has helped me have my first not too wobbly walk in ages. Now i just need to build my muscle back up and hopefully not have sciatic pain for life
Great video, I just developed drop foot. Do you know if you can run with this device? Thank you!

I think this might be why i fall all the time. Can the muscle be worked somehow to strengthen it so you do not need a brace?
try walking when you can as much as possible maybe a treadmill or a gym where you can go the slowest speed if not try the bicycle the recumbment bike it will help your muscles

Hello I have MS which is causing foot drop. How much does this device cost?? Also does medicare cover it??
Hi, I had a stroke twelve years ago that left me with foot drop in my left foot...I have not tried any of the braces, etc. but this looks promising. However I am contemplating the perispinal etanercept procedure, just liquid embrel injected in the base of the spine while the head is inverted. The Mayo clinic is one of but a few clinics that administer this procedure, the other being the two physicians who patented the procedure and thus too costly for most over the seven year patented period. My question is has anyone had the procedure and did it work, usually within minutes of the injection.
Please tell me where should I go to buy this kid of brace in Dubai, Al quoz.

the best thing for foot drop is walking in comfortable shoes every day
@@puppydog12000 if that's all it takes, then you don't really have drop foot.

Nerve damage can take years to recover. Mine is still recovering after 2 years and I see good improvement in my drop foot :-)
And are you a professional? Are you a PT or anything like that?
No, I didn't think so.
Dane Peterson wow. I hope you check this. How are doing now and did you have to got back ? What is the official name. Or maybe I missed it.

I have foot drop right now from a sciatic nerve pinch. Should this go away when my sciatica clears up
411STRYKERT1 - have you found anything promising?
Mine went from sciatic nerve (left side), then the peroneal nerve (knee to ankle), then to the pudendal nerve (groin), all have improved except the foot.
dthomp1 sounds like we have the exact same problem. If I run across anything that works I will bit you up.

How do I exercise when my big toe has completely dropped way lower than that others?

Foot drop is floppy and loose, spasticity is when it tenses up temporarily due to certain stimuli, tone is when it's tense all the time.

BUT You are waking. 😉
People should not laugh at you but if they do, try not to listen to them :) Here is a video series that might help: ruclips.net/video/9fXLmuLvcw8/видео.html
How is it now?
Can you create a series for elementary kids? For example one for foot pain.....it could be a 5 min. session, maybe you want to each wear something special for the ocassion i.e. superman and ninja for example? so a kid can do it with you?
