Flat out miracle!! I am not an athlete by any means, but I have suffered from foot drop for about 3 years, and I have always had weak ankles... my first day using Rock Tape, and I just cannot believe the relief and less fatigue I am experiencing.. Thanks so much!!! I have never used any kind of kinesiology tape before, but I am pretty sure I will stick with Rock Tape!
I go to the VA.. she did not use the "tab" but I am going to try your way once this tape falls off! GOOD INFO friend! Yours was the first video on the google that popped up! Keep it up!
Thank you!! I have fought ms for 19 years. I nearly caved into getting an AFO (three years after my PT recommended it). Thank you so much for providing an alternative!
Thank you so much for sharing your technique. I love that you use this for your own drop foot issues, it means so much more because you have ms yourself. 😍 you know what you’re talking about and you know how it feels! I’m going to try this today once I have figured out which side I need to tape it to. Isn’t it weird how I try and ignore the bits that are wrong with me, I couldn’t tell you which way my foot drops first. I’ll have to be brave and pay attention in order to make it better 😛 ignore the haters, for every one muppet, you might have helped 20 silent watchers 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 thank you again x
Mitch, thank you so much for sharing this method on here. It has been a lifesaver. I have drop foot from damaged nerves and have almost no dorsiflexion control in one foot. I combine this method with another taping method to provide needed ankle stability for myself, which I think also provides even more lift for my foot. While this isn't quite as good as using my AFO (I still have to make an effort to make sure my foot doesn't drop down while walking), it is really nice not having to wear said AFO all the time, such as for when I want to wear a dress, go swimming, or just don't want to use it.
How are you feeling now ? Did your nerve get better?shat nerve did you get damaged? My were perineal nerve. Please let me know how you getting on. I have foot drop now for 2months.
Hey -- thanks! I am a runner who has recently been diagnosed with MS . My drop foot starts after about two miles running (which basically means that nobody knows what to do with me in most instances), I think that it is related to heat intolerance. I have ankle strengthening exercises from a PT and I have an appointment to get an assessment for a running AFO, but I'm sure going to try this! Much appreciated.
I totally get it. I was diagnosed with MS 7 years ago, thus my interest in this topic. At the time, I was able to run about 3/4 of a mile before getting drop foot. Now I can go about 2 1/2 without any tape and more like 3 1/2 miles with tape. I am a firm believer in challenging your nervous system and it has made a huge difference for me and those that I have consulted with. Things like single leg activities, vibration platforms, and total body movements over and over will help you improve that 2 miles to 6 or 8 or maybe even more if you want. It is a difficult diagnosis to hear, but you have a lot going for you and this can be managed well!!
I’ve got severe foot drop ,due to my back I started using tape last week because getting an AFO is going nowhere and my husband and I can tell a difference already!
What type of tape is that and where do you get it? Also, I appreciate him saying that he deals with MS too. To see someone teaching who can physically relate is intriguing.
I've been using tape! 9yrs an it's awesome! My foot drop took my driving ability ! But my mom came up wit the tape idea Ben back driving every since an walking better.🙌🙌🙌
Venu Doddavarapu start researching, kinetic exercises, peritoneal pinching etc etc. I did all sorts of exercises on it and fixed mine. Main one was lay on floor and use a belt around bottom of foot and pull that leg back as far as you can and straight at knee. I’m sorry I cannot link all videos I found. But mainly....keep at it and keep searching. Don’t let it be.
Same here !! Since June 2020... footdrop. My foot has improved since ... but I still need support (taping, prosthesis). I was super sporty ... hiking bike racing ...
Could you please have a camera on what your doing? Thanks
I JUST started using it last week for my foot drop/MS.. my walking is COMPLETELY DIFFERENT! I will never not have this on me. I LOVE IT!

The tape is Rocktape from Rocktape.com
at least you could show how it works/ how she walks with the tape on...
like eating a peanut butter and jelly sandwich without peanut butter or jelly.
Ughhhh, that must be so dusty n dry out
L
Please post a different angle so we can see exactly what to do.. Also does this lift the toes up so they dont drag?
You really should’ve put it at a different angle so we can see all of it
Hello fellow MS Warrior
Could you take a shot from the other side. Not sure I get this right. .
Good
🥰🥰🥰
Where can you get the tape?
Rocktape.com
What specific tape are you using? Is that a KT tape?
Rocktape
Can I do this over a hairy leg?
If still needed
Clip hair with scissors not razor.
Couldn't see anything you did except apply tape on the inside above her ankle...but thanks for the effort.
