When walking and turning your head as you walk, if you know you will be a little off balance and have no one to walk with you, then maybe a set of trekking poles would be helpful? But that may be a learning curve for some as well…
I've had partial numbness in the feet for a month after a back injury (pinched nerve a month before that). Foot numbness got worse a few weeks ago after a bad side plank. Guess my gait isn't that great now in the house in slippers. Walking in shoes outside's easier. Wish I had a doctor I could see. Tried chiro. Good vid.
Thanks. I hope it helps. I also have several videos for sciatica type pain. You can find all my videos on my channel: ruclips.net/user/askdoctorjo, and you can use the search tool (the magnifying glass) under the banner on the right side to find specific videos/topics.
You're welcome. Not pain, but possible neurogenic bladder, stiffness in left hand, & knees (due to feet). Wish I had a doctor. But maybe there's another vid I can find.@@AskDoctorJo
For some reason my left knee 'pops' backwards when I put weight on it while I'm walking. I can't control it. It's like the muscle fires late or something. Or almost like my knee is slightly bent and not straight when going forward so when it lands it pops back.
How to modify the rolling onto toes for these exercises? I have arthritic big toe and medial joint area?? I’ve been unable to raise up on tip toes for a long time.
Hi Dr Jo, i had lumbar surgery 4 weeks ago today. A Laminectomy. How soon after I heal 8 wks I'm told can I do these exercises? My balance is terrible. Thank you
Unfortunately, I don't know that answer since I can't evaluate you. Everyone is different. If there is any way you can see a physical therapist in person, they should be able to help you figure out a specific program for you and help answer your questions.

Is there an app for gait analysis you recommend?
My spine is painful and doctors say I have fibromyalgia but I don’t believe them. What I should do? Thanks 🙏
@@muzix1575 they should do some test to tell me that I have fibromyalgia. Somehow I am not convinced. But I guess I have to believe. Thanks 🙏

Hi doctor jo, do these improve my runs too? Or do u have any advance of these for running?
Thank you for these. What if legs are of unequal length?
You're welcome. It would depend on if they are not equal due to an alignment issue, or if it's a true leg length difference.
@@AskDoctorJo I appreciated your suggestion about finding a gait specialist. Thank you! Hope there’s someone in my city!

@@AskDoctorJo thank you! 😊
You're welcome. Good luck!
Does it matter if you have on shoes or barefoot? Thanks
Shoes should make it a little easier, and barefoot is a little more challenging, so it just depends on how difficult it is for you.
what is gait?
It's the way someone walks, and poor gait usually refers to balance issues.
@@AskDoctorJo thanks
@@abidevdc You're welcome.
Dr. Jo. Can you create a pelvic exercise set for anal spasm? Thanks
