How did you take off that intake pipe ?

You can put the big O-ring that comes with the oil filter (Mann HU821X) inside the vaccum pump as the aftermarket seal fails and this is a cheaper option, I haven't tried it yet but I know a few people who have and it worked. Also replace the metal gasket (MER-6420160280) where the pump mounts to the engine while you're at it as that will eventually leak as well. People have done it on 2012-2015 Ml, GL, R class with OM642 engine but I think it should work on all OM642 applications regardless of their model years.
Remember to clean it really well like using a brake cleaner and lint free cloth before installing the gaskets to prevent any future leaks, and do it at your own risk as the vaccum is created for brakes!

@@NS000-00 We usually replace vacuum pumps, in this case, gasket maker solution will work fine for some time.
Metal gasket is always replaced with the water pump. Water pumps in GLs & MLs are different than Sprinter Vans, same as belts.

1/4 8mm stub swivel socket for the one bolt so you do not have to remove the intake pipe.

@@Libblelabble WIS says it needs to be removed. It’s much easier to work with that pipe been out.
