Me and my sister and brother were never in a restaurant with our parents. My father was a cruel, hatred man. He visited other countries alone, and never call or writing us, of course he beat us. Seeing families with father mother, kids eating food, restaurant is totally weird for me. I guess for my siblings too. We never talk about that. They are so lucky. If I got a family, i would take them out every week and have fun. It is what it is.
The chef is a machine! It is amazing he can work non stop to keep up with the orders by the customers all day of the week.

A while ago ( 1962 ) I was the delivery kid for a Chinese restaurant, watching these cooks brings back so many fond memories of watching the meals being prepared. So many things happening at once, and the prep work before opening is wonderful, Thank you for the video, and the memories.
Can I ask why do they leave the faucets running? I've seen that at several chinese resturants.

When working with woks you are essentially cooking on a small jet burner. The sheer amount of heat dispensed is absurd, and the surface of the cooking area can become hyperheated and warp or be damaged without appropriate control. As such we keep water faucets on at all times to cool down the cooking surface, but also to ensure that water we need to prepare dishes doesnt evaporate due to the sheer amount of heat.

This chef deserve metals to skill and speed in his kitchen.
I find this so relaxing, no sound except the kitchen noise & occasional person speaking a language I don't understand, very beneficial after working/studying a couple hours to calm down my brain and it's thoughts.
