Correct parts are:
Inner Weather Strip part# 68171-48032 Right side and the Left side is 68172-48032
Thanks, I just replaced mine today with two new OEM ones from ebay. I had a very hard time putting the panel back on to the door when the new weather strip was already on the panel. So, I decided to slide the weatherstrip on the door first, then put the panel on to the four metal clips and pushed toward the metal clips. This method worked so much better for me.
This is what I was waiting for too (as Bryce said)! Thank you for this. The inner window smear from the degrading rubber is very annoying. Your video explains the repair options and process clearly. Major kudos to you for making this video.
I sliced that flap off without taking the door panel, I just used my retractable razor tool, the one that you just break off the end 1/2 inch to get a sharper blade and point, that particular cutter can extend a couple of inches and easily slice off both flaps in just a couple of minutes. Yeah, I do hear more noise now but it is worth the exchange.
Instead of doing this I have used silicon spry lubricant on the rubber after cleaning it and so far my both 05 Lexus are still working very nice.
My friend found your video and I'm thankful and ready to take this project on.
Exactly the information I was looking for. Thanks!
This is what I was waiting for! Thank you for this 🤝
Ha! My name is Bryce too… cool/smart dudes drive a Lexus I guess;)
Good video dude! Thanks! Going to get my gooey front passenger door when I get home on Monday. 😎
Thank you! Looking forward to the solution for the amazing melting dashboard...
Awesome video! I only wanted to see how to remove the clip. By the way. Could you make a video on how to remove the two A-pillars of the vehicle. I always wanted the tweeters replaced. It's so cranky and busted that I can't enjoy music anymore with it. And they say this model has really good sounds in it. Never experienced it.
Very helpful. Any idea what that black triangular piece is called (removed at 1:31)? I may have damaged mine and want to order a replacement.
Thanks to this I was able to replace my torn front speakers in less than an hour. The door latch cables perspective was especially helpful!
You are amazing!
The part No. is 75710 (Right) and 75720 (Driver side). They are called Belt Weather-Strip. You can find them for approx $60 each. I'm going to try cutting off a sliver of the strip to see if that helps tak the pressure off. Because the friction was so strong it actually pulled apart the clip that holds the window to the mechanism that lowers and lifts it.
Where did you buy your weather strip ? Thank you
I dont believe these are the correct strips, these part numbers go to the outer door. I just ordered these and they were exterior parts
@@TheWesleyRicardo Did you end up finding the correct part number? I've removed these, but there is way too much road noise. Looking to replace.
We have a 2008 RX350. There was a factory recall on the dash….we got ours replaced for free.
How about 2009 Rx350 ?
The Front Left and Right have different part numbers. Are the Left and Right different?
This is the “easy” fix?? I’d hate to see the difficult version! 😮
Any dusts or water leaks if you do cutting way?
Hello. I have this issue with my 05 rx330. Can I pm you with some questions?
These are called weatherstrips. About $70 each side online. If you're going to end up keeping the thing, imo it's worth the time and just the annoyance it saves from seeing that stuff. Has anyone tried goo gone on the stripping?
Do you have the source?
@@patconditt you should find them on eBay. They are also called window belt trim molding.
Nice!!!! I’ve been wanting to find a set a may shoot a second video with the replacement strips. Here in Florida, the strips let a lot of unwanted warm air in. Thanks so much!
@@ModernGreaser Can you recommend a cleaner or solvent to clean the windows?
I've got it on all 4 windows. Thanks for the video.
I do too
Did you try to clean the weather strips to get the gunk off first?
No the weather strip rubber is degrading into a sticky goo. They’re last the pint of cleaning sadly
I did try cleaning it. It decreased the amount of goo a bit since there was build up on the top of the seal. But it doesn't solve the problem.
EBay. Both for $135 Genuine "Lexus Genuine RX400H RX330 RX350 WEATHERSTRIP FRONT DOOR GLASS INNER RH LH Set" Seems worth it!
