Your (sometimes brutal) advice has really helped me to finally save myself from the misery of heartbreak over the past 16 months & start to see a future again.🤔👍💪
I was his rebound. I am the one who broke up as well. I went on a date over the weekend and I am thankful for spending the last 18 months post breakup doing all the things to work on myself. Hey mate, if you were recently dumped, I know your pain, BUT, Nick’s advice is solid. It’s been 16 months since I was brutally discarded & I still feel the pain so much, but 2 months ago I realised that I needed to think of myself again, not my ex or her two boys. I’ve been going to a therapist every fortnight for 14 months, going hiking, kayaking, just getting out in nature, limiting my drinking, being more sociable & not ruminating in isolation & I even started a course two weeks ago to change my career at 53 to a career I’m much more passionate about, so there is a future for all of us who have endured so much pain. This is just my story mate & please just hang in there long enough & things will slowly turn around, you know it will. Be kind to yourself mate.👍💪
