At around 5:24, when they members all have drums, it is after their performance on a show like a mini American Idol. In this is after Everyone has performed & they won. I don't think they even have their in ears in. They are literally goofing around. Ugh. The creator of this critical video matters. Their opinion is valid. I simply disagree with almost All of the original creators video. Which is my right. Be safe, be strong & remember to Love Yourself, so that you may best love others. 🙏💪💜
Actually there is a performance of fake love that THEY are literally trying not to fall I think it’s amazing award and they don’t have any air to sing they can’t do it any more and they made it you can hear them voices sounding different sounding tired it’s incredible to see how they made that performance for an award just after finishing a worldwide tour
Imagine being 10 years into your career with thousands of LIVE performances, doing them sick and with sound issues, and insane schedules behind you, and all of your mistakes can only add up to 3 minutes?? They were raking the internet for any and all bts mistakes and this is all they could find, if anything this just proves how good bts are :D
The first clip appears to be at a television show and it seems like it was the encode stage for the winner of that show. No in ears so no surprise they can't hear themselves and therefore go off key. Context makes a difference. Thanks for sharing your insights.
Exactly. You’re right, with 10 years of training in music, vocals, dance, social etiquette, making time to film MVs and Run BTS, and attend high school and college, BTS is the best at what they do. And they’re perfect when their stage is set by professionals, sound check and all. I mean give credit to where it’s due. Anyway, BTS is not so much known for their singing voices, but they are known for their true character, genuine words of comfort and encouragement and their transparency to the degree that they can be. True Armys know this. 💜
Yeah. Most of the videos she shows were taken during the warm-up, the members don’t give it all and that’s normal. In addition, they are human, and like all singers, it happens very often that there is fatigue, colds, low morale, voice that break after many concerts, too dry air etc. It is normal that sometimes it is not perfect. Most artists sing in playback when they are sick, while BTS continue to sing even when they are sick. Those who criticize them often take as an example that the bad times and on all the work of BTS it represents only 0.1%...
I think it's weird how people who can't sing critique others. Every singer has off days, period. The in ears, being sick, warm ups, etc. You can't judge singers based off of the ending stage of these broadcast. They aren't trying hard lol. People are so judgemental...and just trying to put them down because they don't like the group. Everyone needs to stop being hateful to others. People need to build others up. Thanks for your reaction and understanding of the guys.
Thank you for being angry. So many of these were at the end of MNet after the show sort of encores. They had already performed, and they definitely couldn't hear themselves. That's why the dance is off, and they look not like themselves. It wasn't a planned thing. Imagine giving a performance at 120% and then they tell you to just sing again at the end of a show. Jimin was so sick for that performance of Truth Untold. He talks about it and had even asked Jungkook to help him. And, yeah, smoke SUCkS!!!!!!! Sometimes it tastes weird too.😂 😘💜🫶🏻🫰🏻
@@Launibu i always wanna cry when jimin sing because when he sick and still singing im afraid his voice will be worse but im glad when he is healthy again
Tell me about it. Also they talk as if pop and classical vocal techniques are the only proper vocal techniques. I keep see K-pop singers who use rock vocal techniques get ranked poorly or even straight-up called bad singers because they use rock vocal techniques. Like the way they talk about Dreamcatcher Siyeon’s voice (their main vocalist) drives me up the wall. If she wanted to sing using normal pop vocal techniques, I know she could.
As someone who also sings, I always sigh really hard when people talk about "strain" or being "out of tune" as a sort of blanket criticism without knowing how to actually describe what their ears are hearing. They hear something "imperfect" and immediately dive to "bad technique" without context. And the amount of saying "strain" for Jimin particularly in response to the natural 'cry' at the end of his notes always makes me facepalm. It's not strain!! Nothing like strain. The one clip where you mentioned they sounded rushed/not warmed up is the encore of a music show in Korea. They are announced as winners and must IMMEDIATELY sing their song. They may have warmed up, but elapsed time is hard to tell -- they would have been waiting on stage before the announcement. They have no back track, their equipment seemed not to work, they were trying to mess with their props, etc. It's a lot going on! Thank you so much for pointing out fog, the mix, etc. Fans who aren't in the industry really do need more education about the realities of live singing.
His vocal cry is one of my fav vocals of his. It sounds so emotional. So when I hear people saying he can't sing because of that, I'm like, yeah you know nothing about vocal techniques. Opinion now invalid. It's easy for a lot of groups to sound great live, I mean, that's why they lip sync
That's exactly my thought. His vocal cries/yodels/inflections are a stylistic choice, and I see so many antis using it as a justification of how bad Jimin sings. But if you see real singers and real vocal coaches, not ONE has a bad thing to say about those stylistic choices, in fact, it's what makes them fall in love with Jimin's voice. These kpoopies hear about a few vocal vocabularies and think they are expert in singing ijbol
@@Asheee0613 Don't let them see you sweat - that's what they want. Lil' Child here isn't getting enough attention, so they're looking for it here - just ignore the idjit! Love your passion, tho ;)
Love your reactions.... first, for the first clip with poor Jimin, that was a performance where the production crew had the WRONG guide in their ears and it was throwing them off and the show apologized profusely afterwards when ARMY fussed at them for doing such a bad job of setting the system incorrectly. I felt so bad for him cause you know the haters used every chance they could to attack. The 2nd clip was them goofing around after the show so Tae was probably just tired and not really pushing, it was at the part of the show when they are usually doing something fun or silly after as the credits are about to roll, and often times their in-ears aren't on right. . So yeah, you're right on point. plus these clips that she was saying "still not improving" actually went back in time to an older performance so her editing is misleading as well. I gave up on giving her the benefit of the doubt after that 3rd clip LOL EDIT: Also on the Love Yourself tour, Jimin was sick during part of it and got so bad at one point that even though he came out and performed amazingly he couldn't literally sing most of his parts on this song and he teared up and apologized to ARMY for not being able to do as well as he wanted, but he still did amazing and I challenge anyone who is sick, especially with the throat, to even talk let alone sing. SIGH. I saw him live the last show before he got sick and it was beyond amazing. His voice and all of their voices were golden and it was freaking cold. I was so worried about them but they rocked it.
For context, if I'm not mistaken, "jin didn't sing properly" with the drums, it was the encore after they won the awards show. It's not performance, their actual performance was amazing. They only sing for their fans before go home, many idols only sing for fun and playfully, not just BTS. People often talk harshly about this encore, let them have fun ffs 😂
You aren’t mistaken… that’s exactly what that was and the person that made the original video that he’s watching chose that part on purpose… to falsely reinforce their beliefs as a solo. It just boggles my mind.
I saw a documentary where Jimin was in tears backstage in the middle of a performance because he was in pain and could barely say a word due to a non-stop schedule. He felt so bad for giving a poor performance for his team and the Army. It wasn't just Jimin; there was a time when they could only sleep 2-3 hours a day for weeks because they had too many performances and a jam-packed schedule. I'm not trying to excuse their poor performances, specifically these ones. But I felt sad and gained more respect watching them give their best for every performance, no matter their condition. I appreciate your reaction! Hope to see more! ;)
I literally had vocal lessons last week and our voice teacher used jimin as an example of someone who has a gifted unique voice. She emphasized how hard to carry jimin's unique tone esp that most of his parts sit at the highest registers. She said that even if his voice isnt the most stable, jimin actually gives most bts songs the flavor and the uniqueness to it. He makes some bts songs unsingable for some because of the uniqueness and the level of difficulty he brings to the song because of his voice. This is an objective opinion. I'm a mamamoo, rose and ailee stan and i love jm's voice.
I am not a vocalist...but I've never even thought about the fog! I wish more people who critize or think they know what they hear would listen to this! I'll be using the link to watch!! CANT WAIT!!!!❤
Man I loved this video. It's nice to have and educated person giving their intake. Jimin is always hated, no matter if he hits the highest notes, adds so much emotion or elevates the song
First, let me applaud you for your restraint. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 Your faces and memes were priceless. Secondly, thank you for your knowledge! I had no idea fog could do this. I, personally, am sensitive to fog at shows. It dries my eyes out and makes me cough. I thought it was just me! Every time I see it flowing across the stage I’m like…sigh… *cough* Great reaction!
It’s nice to hear a critique about vocals from someone who actually sings! Thank you for your insight💜 It’s easy to find a handful of bad moments for any singer and make it look like they can’t sing, when you don’t include context to anything. To not find one moment of JK struggling is telling. As amazing as he is, he’s still human. I’m sure there’s one this solo Stan could’ve included to mask their bias😂 imo a true army wouldn’t seek these moments out to share like this. I’ve seen Reddit threads with similar arguments that use this same handful of moments. I keep RM’s voice in my head reminding me to move on and not argue, it’s their loss anyway.
Looked through comments to see if someone else mentioned it.. yes, I agree.. Solo Stan 😶 I also agree with your comment about a true army not hating on other members. Seriously there are so many posts on X where they are hating on a member in retaliation for someone else doing it to another member. It’s insane! I’m not even going on X anymore because there’s so much hatred and jealousy between apparent ‘armys’.. My bias is Jimin but I am definitely OT7 and I would NEVER put any of the members down.. I can’t believe the stuff that’s posted about Jimin and then to make it worse, Jimin ‘fans’ retaliate with horrendous posts about JK for example.. I’m using JIimin and JK as an example because I saw so many posts about them today.. they are the cruelest, most disgusting posts.. And all I can think is, if Jimin (or any of the members) saw these, he would be devastated.. they are brothers… family… Imagine seeing stuff like that about someone you love.. And I don’t want the members thinking that’s what armys are like.. It’s ok to have a bias or 2, but hating on ANY of the members is f*cked up!! And especially posting about it for the world (and BTS) to see… A true army loves and supports all 7 members 💜 rant over 🤷🏻♀️💜
I was watching this with my ARMY hubby and the instant they started comparing to JK I knew this was a solo stan and said so. Solos are antis as far as I am concerned, not ARMY. They are actively harmful to the group and to the person they claim to be a fan of. They are crazy.
I also looked for this, yes this is probably a JK solo stan, that try to discredit everyone else, I have the last month seen so many vile posts on X from especially his solo stans but from the others solo stans also and I find it really disturbing that people really think that such thing would be recieved postitive if the boys were to see it. No true ARMY would ever dream of doing things like this.
@@HALPIN76 I agree X have become a real shitshow, and the posts just increase in number and hateful tone, I hope not one of them see these posts or that the company see it and sue for defamation or something. and the 2 you use for example are the once that have the vilest solostans
Thank you for standing up for Jimin. He gets the most hate from antis and solo stans, it’s so sad. I’d also like to say that it’s easy to go through their 100’s and 100’s of performances and find one that is not the best example and pick it to death. As mentioned by others, there is video of Jimin right before they performed The Truth Untold complaining about how his throat hurt so bad that it hurt to breathe. Bad sound in their in-ears, too much fog, (thanks for the lesson about that), illness, these are all things that make for a less than perfect sound on a single occasion. Honestly, this person had to have gone through a LOT of videos to find these examples. Thank you for standing up for our guys!
I seriously dont get it. Jimin is also an INCREDIBLE performer and dancer, and his vocal colour is so unique. Jimin is one of my favourite performers period. His stage presence is absolutely magnetic. He is an incredible dancer with so much stage presence, and his unique vocals just add to his amazing performances. He also has a lot of very hard to hit notes.
@@rhiannn3416 he get's the hardest parts of the songs along with Jin. The hate is there because he stands out with his voice and his dancing and basically everything he does. They envy him.
Thank you for your informed commentary based on your expertise. I feel like the maker of the video is NOT an expert and their opinion is based upon erroneous assumptions. I love your BTS reaction videos, I look forward to more of them. Best of luck with your endeavors with your band, you guys are great! And dude, you're freakin' adorable ;)
Thank you for the reaction, I’ve been waiting for this one! People are so hard on Jimin. It feels like they were just picking on him here. He has a beautiful unique tone and people just love to tear him down.
In my experience if a person says ‘I’m an army too’; it usually means ‘I’m not an ARMY, I’m a kpoppie but I don’t want to be attacked by ARMYs for being a hater.’ After 10 years of live singing, if this is what they manage to come up with I’m proud of my boys. While other idols are lip syncing and perform on total backing vocals, my kings have been singing live for a decade whether rain or shine……😏
That channel must have spent months to get a 3 min clips out of it. That person really needs therapy if she spends so much time hating. I can't imagine how miserable that person is.
They sound like a JK solo stan tbh. The boys are freaking incredible, always giving their all to make Army happy. I haven't been Army for long, 2 years to be precise, but I love them all equally. Each voice is special in their own way, bleeding to gether perfectly. Sorry for this long comment :D I just had to say something.
I was an army once and I'm going to say it , Jimin is blessed with an amazing sweet voice but he fails to hit high notes and stay stable while singing a lot of time compared to V, Jin and JK and studio version are heavily auto tuned to make him sound good like for example angel part 2 , he literally sounded like a robot .
I agree 1000% about the dangers of fog. I am a retired circus performer and fog was my enemy. You can’t breathe! If you take a full breath in, it makes you choke and cough. I don’t know how singers can sing at all!
I love how you took the time to explain the technicality behind things to help people better understand what is actually going on. I love Jimin and his voice and it breaks my heart to see how frustrated and down on himself he gets when his performance isn’t perfect. Jimin needs to see this video too, then maybe he won’t blame himself when something happens that is beyond his control. 💜
“The Truth Untold “ performance was in Brazil I think, and there is a BTS documentary of this tour and Jimin was sick and was losing in voice. No one here disagrees with your comments. Good luck on your show. I downloaded the app and hope to see you live from my living room in Ohio. 🫶🏻
Really appreciate your perspective as a vocalist, I’ve never even considered the effect fog would have on their vocals but it makes so much sense, especially in jimins case. I swear there’s been an agenda against him their entire career, downplaying his talent and criticising his live singing abilities. Judging just by the channel name of the person who made this video, plus their “criticism” and the cherry-picked clips they used, I would say this definitely comes from a solo and not an army
Ok I finished the video and seriously, I f*cking love you!! Everything you said was professional and perfect! You know what you are talking about and it is clear!! Thank you 🙏 💜
I missed the live of this, but this is why I like your reactions. This is not Milli Vanilli, ffs, it's BTS. No band has 10+ years of "perfect every time" performances. Thank you & Good luck with the show!!! Unless life gets in the way, I'll be watching!!!
I loved this breakdown. Spot on and real as always. The ON performance the content provider used in the beginning (around min 9) was the closing of an award show where traditionally they have the group or individual perform an "encore" after winning the Music Show grand prize. Their vocals had cooled by then. It's usually a poor set up behind it all, in ears not functioning properly, etc. Typically it is half hearted and goofy, sometimes changing parts with each other, etc.
Seriously J, you did this with class and were so careful to be technical about your criticism. Well done. The rest of the guys are about to head off to Military Service soon so keep up the reactions. It'll do our hearts good while we miss them. (I just made myself cry, ARMY wtf. 😭
This why I enjoy reactions by vocalist and people in the music industry. It really helps to understand why certain things may sound off. If I wanted 100% perfect, I would just listen to the recorded versions of the songs. Live most bands, especially BTS sounds better, yep, occasionally someone misses a lyric or is a little flat on a note, but the energy Live is everything.Ironically BTS gets accused of lip-syncing because they sound so good live. I have seen them skip a word so you can hear the backtrack is much lower or even sing another member's short part to show they aren't. thanks for reacting; I think I tried to watch the original video a while ago and got mad part way through and stopped.
Hooray for actual reactions by actual singers! The second cliip starting with V is them singing the winner's encore for one of the weekly kpop music shows. Groups often act silly and do playful stuff during these, but also often struggle because they can't hear the track properly and exactly as you said, have not had a chance to warm up properly. Every time someone uses one of these encores to trash a Kpop vocalist I cringe. They are flat because they can't hear and in-ears are failing them, not because of strain or not being able to sing. Ugh!
Im a singing teacher University level you are right on every point and explanations. i used to do big stages here in Quebec Canada and fog is a killer and cause big damages to vocal cords its over drying and stiffing the vibration to help you eat half of teaspoon of Vaseline then its not attaking your cordes.
To add to my first comment about how crazy it is that all bts mistakes add up to ONLY 3 mins, ALL of these mistakes were under bad circumstances too. The first one their in-ears were f*cked up and none of the members could hear sht, the second video they had NO in-ears and it wasn't a performance but a "celebration" after they won an award (basically just for fun), third performance he was sick, fourth performance vocals were edited and backing track lowered, fifth performance Jimin was so sick that he couldn't talk before and even started crying because of it at the end of the performance. Like isn't that insane? They really chose only clips where there were external issues going on to "prove" that bts can't sing?? (also this was made by a blackpink Stan and jungkook akgae, aka only stans jungkook and hates the other members, so the part about them "liking" bts was a bold-faced lie)
Yes, the second is encore, where artist sing, dance and just have fun after wining the award (usually groups dont perform the whole song, just some parts of it)
Yes this was an encore stage where they just have fun, not an actual performance, just as in the past encore stages of BTS they goof around, can’t remember the song at the moment, but one encore stage they all switched parts and sang someone else’s part, not their own I just love when someone takes just a little clip of a video to comment on instead of the whole before and after of what happened, also they have no clue what is going on since they are really not a fan of the group, we all know that either the members was sick, or technical issues. Also being a fan ( supposedly which they clearly are not a fan ) they can’t critique their vocals as who are they to know anything about professional singing.
Thank you for your reaction and for clarifying some things. When I first saw this video I was surprised, but then not, bc I immediately felt that BTS were rushed and not prepared. You can see in the end like they were just told to sing the song since they won an award. And it just sounded like the sound crew for that award show didn’t have it together. Thank you again for enlightening us from your professional perspective. Take care. 🫰🏼💜
I don't even know what haters trying to prove. All I see is at least they still sing live. And this is just a compilation of when they didn't sound their best. Which is not a big deal because I have seen countless live flawless performances from them.
I really love your reaction since you know what you are talking about because you are a vocalist yourself. I hate people who complains and claimed that Jimin cannot sing just because they simply do not like Jimin because of stupid toxic solo stans and toxic shippers . They are just plain haters and do not know what they are talking about.
When someone who can sing well doesn't sound as good as usual, something is wrong. I appreciate that you're bringing in the context. People yell about "vocal strain" a lot, mostly with Jimin, and it's always nonsense. They don't understand vocal technique but they've picked up this "strain" idea and throw it around to sound smart. There's a concern troll sort of thing happening where they're like "I just don't want him to hurt his voice" and it's so obnoxious. No one is perfect all the time - even Jungkook! - and that's the point of live performance: it's live. You get what they have to give on that day in that moment. Good luck at your show!
Thank you so much for your insights. My parents were musicians, and you remind me of the musicians I grew up around. (I wish my dad was still around to see them as he would love BTS for the professionalism they bring to everything they do.) Thank you so much for bringing this perspective. 💗
Thank you for this, it was really informative. As someone who can’t sing, I would never even attempt to criticize what I have no experience with, and have nothing but respect for those who put themselves out there on stage and perform. I am glad to hear your take on this, as I feel like the person who made the video may not be a good judge of what is going on. No hate to that person, just my opinion. Anyone who follows BTS knows how hard they work and how upset they get when they feel like they didn’t sing perfectly. But to me, the fact is that they care so much means more to me than perfect vocals all of the time. Oh and I am really looking forward to watching your performance on the 2nd. I am super excited to see the band perform and also watch the cameraman struggle to find you when you go into the crowd.😂
@@wrighteousj well like you said, they can always go to the keyboard, you will get there eventually! Or hand out glow stick for the crowd to hold up to help them track you!
Thanks for adding context to these clips. I have acted on stages that have fog on them and it's horrible. I hadn't thought about how that must affect a person as a singer. It must make it really difficult because of the sheer amount of breathing you are doing. Also, I popped over to listen to some of your songs on Spotify, I see what you mean about the amount of air in your voice. I really liked Andromeda. :)
One other thing, Jimin was the last member picked, he had the shortest training period before they debuted, he would watch the other member's lesson and practice on his own after their regular training, often training until 2 am and getting up for school at 6 am. So for years, he felt less than. He wrote the song Promise (with Slow Rabbit and RM) as a promise to not be so hard on his-self;, you should react to it.💜
Thanks to react to this video. The video creator maybe is a Jimin hater. And he/she is not an Army. We do not need these kind of person in our community. We love them and we protect OT7 like we do with our kids. Thanks God you gave a good perspective of what is going on stage as you are a professional too. 🙏
1st, Andromeda is my fav 🎉 👏 Good luck on your concert! 🙏 2nd, Thank you for sharing your experience as real performer, especially interm of fog. Years ago, I trainned my vocal for choir, hence I know a little bit of singing technique, hence when Jimin was cracked, I tought he must been struggle of something on stage, but never thought, due the fog. Thank you for acknowledge me. 👏 In live performance which involve many things, can give Mariah Carrey off tune while she is a timeless world diva.
I appreciate your comments, and based on my son's experiences as a lead singer, your points were valid. People don't realize what it takes to be a singer - a real, professional singer. Just singing in the shower is NOT the same as singing live professionally. And how many western artists today sing live anyway? I don't care if the creator is ARMY; don't criticize if you don't have the knowledge to criticize. Having an opinion is fine, but this wasn't that. I am so glad you did this. And I know how hard your songs are to sing - I've listened to them! You're very good and the insights you brought shed a nicer light on these examples. Thank you so much and good luck on Saturday - wish I could be there.
Just came across this video because someone linked it up on Twitter. I am an ARMY and a Jimin stan at that. And it always hurts me whenever I see these unncessary "constructive criticisms" when in reality, they're only masked like that because they are indeed throwing hate on him. I always watch vocal coaches/singers reacting to these singing videos from BTS but I think you are the first person to actually put it in a much insightful context. I've never thought of "fog" and how it can vastly contribute to how it can affect a vocalist's performance. I've always seen it as something used for decorative purposes and it's frequent because concerts and performances like these typically use these "fog" to create a more dramatic experience for the audience. So, thank you to you. I learned something new today. I will always bring this new-found knowledge with me and try to be more understanding of performers in general. You earned another subscriber to your channel. I hope you get more recognition from your insightful videos. 😊
@wrighteousj Thanks for all your insight into how fog can actually impact singers depending on where their voice sits. I was actually expecting more raging from you, but you kept it in check, really well, lol. I'm impressed with how you don't want ppl to go off on the original creator of the video. You have such a pure soul. Thanks for loving and supporting our guys💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
i've grown up in a very musically inclined family and i cannot express the amount of frustration i feel when i see random people on the internet speak about things they CLEARLY don't understand, especially about singers. there's so much that goes into a performance that people don't realize, so many factors to take into consideration, and you can absolutely tell when the folks who criticize like this have no clue wtf they're talking about lmao 😅 edit: i wanted to add that, yes, context is SO important and this person is leaving out every bit of it, which is doubly annoying. and pitting the members against each other is so???????? ugh.
thanks for making this video, so much of what you have said makes a lot of sense. I see how hard this group of seven work, and I struggle with comments being made without supporting ‘evidence’, having an objective view was appreciated.
I really enjoyed your reaction! I think the whole band is amazing, but there are bound to be mistakes when in a lot of ways, they were learning as they went. They never claimed to debut as experts, and they're so self- critical that I hate when less flattering moments are cut and put together. I also think it's unfair to use Jungkook as a comparison, because he's part of the band and he wouldn't want to be used to make anyone else feel bad. He's a huge fan of all the other members! Thanks for the insights, I never thought about fog at concerts, but I will now!
honestly with the critic jungkook got I wouldn't be surprised if the person who made the video was a jungkook stan and only found "bad" videos of other members to make their "point"
@@E_btsot798no that is neither a jungkook stan nor army. That's a clear kpopie who makes such videos to drag bts. They used jungkook as a cover up for themselves to be not called kpoopies. If u remember, before jungkook solo debut, kpoopies used to say they only like jk out of bts but once he debuted and started to break their favs records,he also became their enemy and call him by disgusting names.
Looks like the person who made the video is strongly Jungkook biased. Nothing against Jk's voice of course. But hyper criticism on the other vocalists seems really unfair. There are lots of people out there who call themselves 'Army' but they are solo stans in reality... so sad. You are right from a technical point of view; I also take singing lessons, and I am scared by dry throat more than by a sore throat...
Why do you think it’s unfair,,,,, if you love somebody and you like everything about him ,,,, and his vocals are very good and even the other members of bts admitted it,,,,,why it’s unfair,,,,,,doesn’t make sense
@@danianaeshgab6154sigh it's unfair not bcs jungkook have a great vocal. bts have countless performance, and the one who makes this video only put clip where jin, jm & tae voice not perfect (even dig a performance from 2016😂trying so hard d*mn) it's unfair bcs bts have countless performance where jin,jm &tae vocal sounds amazing. BUT this video makes a vile perspective as if jin,jm &tae CAN'T SING. if you still don't get it that's fine. maybe you're jk solo and that's fine.
@@danianaeshgab6154 Because the video creator knows nothing about singing and fails to spread their criticisms evenly across all members. That is the behavior of a solo.
@danianaeshgab6154 Why do you think that loving one person means you need to criticize everyone else? That’s toxic behavior. And do you seriously think Jungkook likes hearing people criticize his brothers? If you supposedly love him then why would you do things that would make him hate you? Also, that’s not a BTS fan, that’s a Jungkook fan, there’s a big difference.
@@be7970my opinion is Jungkook genuinely doesn’t have that many stand alone moments of there being a vocal issue. That’s why many enjoy his vocals and compliment them. Not to say that people don’t use that against others or the other way around, say that he’s average and the others have more unique voices than him completely negating his skills - solos aside, this person was wrong in the video for sure, but now just look at the Jimin solos going at JK. Theyre all great, and have great fans, but also there are severely biased fans too- on both ends.
Thank you so much for your input and informative information. I had no idea all of these things. I have seen videos of where Jimin did seem to be off, but I knew that regardless, he can sing. So it helps knowing context. Thank you!! You’ve given us all information we can hopefully pass on to others. I’ll reference this video. 🫶🏽 💜
Jimin is my bias and I love him more than anything. He has said in interviews that he didn’t get vocal lessons pre-debut like the other vocalists because initially BH wanted him to rap. Crazy huh! He would listen in on the lessons and then practice what he heard in his own spare time. Suga finally told BH that Jimin should be a vocalist. Jimin was not a born singer but rather had to teach himself and he has talked about how he made up his own techniques. Jimin is just amazing and to think he hit all those high notes from the beginning because of his sheer passion to excel. His determination and drive to succeed are unmatched. I hope he knows how much his vocals have been loved by millions of fans worldwide. Thank you for your input, most people knew nothing about the fog issue! Good to know!
Can you let me know where he said these things? I've been a fan for 10 years and have heard/read almost every interview, and I don't think these stories are accurate. As far as I know Jimin was always intended to be a vocalist. He mentioned several times that he only joined BTS in the first place because Yoongi heard his vocals and told Big Hit his voice was special and they should bring him into the group. If you've heard about him learning rap that's because all kpop trainees are required to take lessons in vocal, rap, dance, languages etc. as a standard, no matter their speciality. All the members took all these lessons, but as far as I know Jimin's speciality was always dance and vocal. Also Jimin did have the shortest training period, but it's not true that he didn't have vocal lessons. He once mentioned that during the pre-debut period he felt intimidated and wanted to learn as much as possible, so he would accompany Tae and JK to their vocal lessons as well, to listen in and try to learn more techniques. He didn't say he had no vocal lessons himself. It sounds to me like you might have heard some quotes out of context and misinterpreted the meaning... but if I'm wrong I want to know, so if you remember which interviews these stories come from please tell me!
@@shockofthenew Suchwita ep 7, and You Quiz On The Block part 6. There’s too many references to quote. On YQOTB, they said Jimin asked if he could watch Tae and Jk’s vocal lessons and he would try to practice what he heard at night by himself. If he was getting vocal lessons would he not have been included? Suga talked about it in Suchwita. He asked the company why they had Jm taking rap lessons when he should be a vocalist. And more. Also, in fact Jimin decided to take vocal lessons on his own dime during solo era since he didn’t get that training in the group. Also you should watch The Jimin Videos. They have a lot more details on all of this and more. So please understand that what I said is true.
Thank you for your reaction😊. I was so mad when haters said that Jimin can not sing😮, after 10 years singging and dancing they said he can not sing, what a crap is that 🤨🤨🤨.
wow your insights about the fog are so valuable. as a fellow Jimin Defender i knew that there was a reason behind some of his so called "strain" but obviously without any musical technical skill i didn't know what it was exactly. The sheer amount of jimin vocals i've consumed I know for a fact he's an amazing singer with a very unique, light and airy tone. Great video
Whatever you were saying regarding the fog is true... I was performing on stage and that was not even singing and it was dancing... Fog machines were aimed at the stage and by the end of 5 mins powerful dance performance I had dry throat and was unable to speak and was about to pass out.... That fog hurts like shit...BTS are never singing bad unless there is some issues with technical stuff... If they are bad singers then listen to their Acapella versions...💜💜💜
You're so much fun to watch. I love your genuine affection for the boys and actually learn a thing or two about singing techniques from you. Man, if I could watch your concert in LA, I would, but sadly I live hundreds and thousands of kilometers away. Still wishing you the best of luck though! You're gonna smash it.
Thank you so much for your reaction. It is nice to see a realistic reaction from someone who knows what they are talking about - rather than self-proclaimed "experts". I'm no expert when it comes to singing, but my reactions when I first saw this video (and there are, unfortunately, a few videos out there like this) was much like yours. They clearly had little knowledge of what they were talking about, and some comments just made me think "What the...?' The way they praised Jungkook's vocals (which, admittedly, are praiseworthy) while attempting to tear down Jimin and Jin's vocals, just had the feel of a solo stan. So objectivity could be an issue. Plus, as so many others have pointed out, these clips were shown entirely out of context. And context is so important. Several of these clips were at the end of music shows - where no one really does their best, and they often just goof around. It's far from representative of their abilities. Or clips where, it is well known Jimin was sick, or there were technical issues, indicates they were there to confirm a narrative. Plus, chronologically, they were all over the place. Thank you for the information about Fog. I admit I never considered it's effect on a singers voice. But it makes sense, and I'll take notice of that in future. But I know so many things can affect a singers voice; weather, humidity levels, altitude, heat and cold, sickness, exhaustion, and so many other things. As others have pointed out, the fact that they are not 100% all the time, just proves that they sing live; which is nothing to be ashamed of.
Thank you, thank you for the valuable feedback and for putting everything into perspective. It's great hearing all this from someone that actually knows what they are talking about. I ppreciate you taking the time to do this. ❤
The 1st song was encore after being announced as a winner. The song started playing while the other contestants r starting to evacuate the stage. They probably couldn’t hear themselves that’s why they were not in their usual spot.
This video you reacted to threw up a red flag from the jump, since it's by someone named, "JK Shining Solo," i.e. one of those people who thinks they're lifting up their favourite member by tearing down the rest. Then, the first clip started playing & I recognized it from a notorious performance in which their in-ears weren't working properly. I thought, "hmm... is that the game, "JK Shining Solo," is going to play? I don't know if I wanna waste my energy on that." So, I jumped ahead to the next example in the video and - shock! surprise! - it's footage of a music show encore. No mention of how many Idols don't sing at all for encores - because they don't necessarily have working in-ears for encores. It just demonstrates that most people have little understanding of either vocal technique or of modern production methods.
You have got to be one of the best reactors out there and the insight you provide is awesome! Jimin was sick during TU and I can’t believe how many people hold on to these clips. Anyways, have a great performance on the weekend
You are the best omg! The way I loved this reaction, truly, THANK YOU! Not only did I learn about fog but the way you brought it just made me smile all the way through 💜
Hey did you see Jimin won Best Male Artist at the MAMA2023, they keep bashing his talent but he keeps proving them wrong.. we love Jimin and we love BTS.. thank you for your reaction
I'm a trained vocalist. I stopped performing after college because I didn't have the passion anymore. However, the fog thing is so real. I would often get bronchitis and completely lose my voice by the end of Christmas Spec (a super big Christmas show my university did that has multiple showings). The fog was the reason. Almost all of us, 100 singers and 50 orchestra members would be sick by the end. It sucks.
Thank you Sir for trying to educate the uneducated! I can't get it why this people who not even professional singers try to slander somebody when they can't even themselves can hold a note! Unbelievable!
Hell yeah!!!! Been waiting for this just to see the rage that comes from the core of the heart (as a singer) when people try to put the 'Can't sing' label onto literal professional singers with many many years of their careers......
it's actually so interesting I've never thought about fog but if I'm not wrong later in their tour bts stopped using as much if not at all especially in their stadium tour and it definitely helped bc theirs vocals were amazing
Dang this was super informative - would love to see more videos like this! We know BTS has the talent but as a non singer it’s cool to know more about why
These critique videos frustrate me and you are a trooper for reacting to this and educating on what’s really happening. The creator most likely does not know about singing and just wants to hate. Also like the first clip, that’s an encore and not an official performance. The haters love to use those as evidence that the idols can’t sing and it’s a weak argument. Same goes for using a SNL performance as an examples as well. All bad and unfair.
I really hate when people dont know anything about the topics they discuss. First of all i wanna say this here out and proud, i bet this person (who made the video) isn't an ARMY. Cuz, i double that bet on this, any ARMY from debut will clearly say that BTS has one of the best vocalists in the industry without a doubt. They have distinctive voices which made their songs rich in sound acpects. Around 4:12 it showed their Fake Love stage performance with Charlie Puth on the key. That performance was not the best and they had in-ear issues expect Jungkook cuz he already performed Attention by Charlie Puth with Charlie Puth on stage. Guess what? He had in-ear problems at that stage too. 4:26 that performace from their 2019 encore stage which when idols do after recieving awards (i think its just for daesang). Guess what? If it's not BTS nobody cares if idols do or do not perfect encore performance. Encores isnt about perfection. It is for fun. 16:31 Jimis had have already a sore-throat issue at that time cuz he was sick. After performancing bunch of songs like IDOL and Fake Love and Mic Drop how he could sing perfectly with sore throat and all those fogs around? I want this person to sing to a karaoke mic (i want the song to be The Truth Untold btw - if they are ARMY since debut, they have to know/memorize TTU by heart), record it and see if it give them to perfect vocals. Cuz why not right?
What you’re saying makes a LOT of sense. I’ve been hearing lately about how fog affects vocals. I’m not a singer, know they’re talented, and I’m happy to have more understanding of such circumstances. This is why I watch reactions, to better understand and appreciate the aspects of the art I have little or no knowledge on. Thank you for your in depth and honest explanations. 💜
Oh so that explains why. Thank you for explaining the fog thing. I didn't even know it can affect a singer's voice. This is better than the lecture at uni.❤😊
Thank you so much for explaining these things that we, people that don’t “perform” live, wouldn’t know… I just hope the one that made the video could see your reaction/explanation to shush him/her. 💜
I really want to thank you for your insight. I love all the members singing, but like you said, they really do need to cut the fog out. And the SNL performance, it's because of the broadcast that they didn't sound half as good as they normally sound. So thank you so much for your insight
Jimin is my bias and it infuriates me how people attack him because his voice isnt "perfect" for them , thankyou for giving context to these situations and from your own experiences and knowledge. I wish more people knew how fog can mess with the vocalists, I've learnt something new and I hope more learn too .
i understand providing feedback and criticisms, but making a whole ass video and titling it specifically how “BTS Can’t sing” is absolutely wild to me. Every artist has their off days, they could’ve been sick, etc we don’t even know. But discrediting their efforts and saying they “can’t sing”.. how are they even an army. Also that one ON live near the beginning was an encore. It’s not even a rehearsed performance, and choosing to point out their vocals there tells me how much they had to grasp at straws to prove their point. I’ll just completely ignore the fact that theyre likely not a vocalist themselves with their lack of technical judgement.. since the video itself was kinda pointless
Thank you for this! I knew it’s hard to talk in all the fog but I can’t imagine singing in it. Fog literally choke me lol any person criticising any vocalist should be either a vocal coach or someone who sings and done their research. And I agree the only thing that BTS need to take from it is to speak to the performance manager and cut on the fog🤣 good luck on your show! I know you guys will do amazingly!💜💜
the only instance I have personally with fog is one time at a lazer tag event the site had fog and it literally choked me so much that I had to sit out and have never done lazer tag again because of the horible experience....
For a bit more context, the ON stage where the person criticized them so much was an encore stage after a music show where they won first place. It wasn't a serious performance and the members frequently goof around during those. This isn't the performance during the actual show. This is also literally the first time they ever performed without an audience. It was their first performance after Covid started impacting everything and the first time there was no audience permitted to attend. I couldn't say about warming up or not, but they were emotionally heavily impacted by having to sing with no audience. Especially for an encore stage that's rarely treated seriously to begin with.
This is giving undercover hater wolf in sheep clothing. Let's be clear no fan makes a whole video like this of a group they claim to like without showing a fair balance of hits and misses. Saying your a fans while trying to point out how bad they are is true hater stuff because if they can't sing then why are you a fan of them? Bet if you do a deep dive you'd find they actually are a real fan of another group.
It seems it's a solo fan who did that sh*t. Those whose bias is JK and "ship" Taekook spread a lot of hate for Jimin. She took bad mixes and situations where Jimin was sick. And... what's the problem with bits of cracking voice? He even corrects the problem rapidly AND most of time they are perfect. I'm sure she had to work hard trying to find those pieces of "bad" performances. She called herself Army? She's a liar!
Thank you so much for being genuine and using your objective experience to combat some of the hate that bangtan keeps getting. Can't wait for more of your bts live reactions! Borahae :)
I have watched all of your reactions on BTS songs up to this point... 1. I appreciate listening to someone who knows what they are talking about, and judging from the background of having been in the same position (In ear monitor trouble, fog, dry vocal chords, rushed warm ups, the moments of communication between members on stage that people don't necessarily see, space+acoustics, mixing on your voice to blend with the backtrack, how hard it is to sing with a backtrack🤌🏻, etc.) 2. I appreciate the way you appreciate them, because you know exactly what it takes to sound like that Live... It is not a piece of cake, but it's art to make it look like it is... I love that you appreciate your crowd, the crowd, and any crowd. So just keep it up🔥 You are doing great... P.s. I literally found your channel last night and have been binge watching your videos, so after this, I'll definitely check out your music as well... The short clips I've heard in between your videos have been phenomenal!
Solo puedo decir que es la voz de Jimin la que me captura, la que hace que deje cualquier cosa que esté haciendo. Su voz tiene un efecto tranquilizador, realmente sana
Interesting how the creator of the video is saying that they're an ARMY since debut and yet say that Jimin has no improvement or not know that sometime during the Love Yourself tour, Jimin has been sick and that's he's in top vocal condition, especially during The Truth Untold. There were even videos of Jimin cried because he was not on top condition. Jimin has only been a trainee for 6 months and have not had a proper vocal training compared to other members BUT Jimin has greatly improved AND he is very dynamic in using his voice to give different textures to their songs. Any genuine ARMY knows the journey BTS have been thru, not only with their success but also the stories behind their performances. Clearly, that video was posted without context by someone who does not have a background in singing, and dare I say, even a fake ARMY.
For SNL they purposely sang off beat, dropped out lines and changed their mics throughout the performance (watch Suga) to prove to haters that they do actually sing live. You'll see it when you watch the full set. For untold truth .. jimin was getting progressively worse throughout this tour because he was so sick but still went out every night. You can tell by his body language he knows its off. Jin shared in 2017 they only got a day and a half off a month. They were absolutely exhausted. Tell me any other band that works like that and still put their fans first. As RM said they are aware their fans may only get 1 night with them so they give it everything
SNL-- purposely sang off beat: i think you're referring to one instance, when suga was rapping correct?, i had heard he does this to prove he's rapping live dropped out lines: are you referring to when jin didn't come in one time and you could hear his backing track? you said lineS plural and i can't think of any other instance? changed their mics: i'll look for this and watch again
The part where they have drums is not a performance. Their performance was finished they already won the music show. The members usually plays or have fun during an encore. Its not a serious performance. The creator chose that on purpose.
Thank you for this. No singer can be perfect every time they perform, but people are so quick to jump on any slightly iffy performance without knowing the context or circumstances. This has been very educational 😊

@@MTetzke Yeah I felt like at that point the person who made the video really didn't know bts or they are just hating on them for no reason.

@@mickieb7417 most of these clips are from encore shows...these haters are just nit picking
Right? 💜🔥
And some of those Jimin was legit sick and his throat hurt badly. Solo stans are the worst.
Sometimes it tastes weird too.😂

STRAY KIDS IS THE KING OF KPOP,,,,
kpop stans learned the word "strain" and fuckin ran with it dude
😂😂😂

I gave up on giving her the benefit of the doubt after that 3rd clip LOL
EDIT: Also on the Love Yourself tour, Jimin was sick during part of it and got so bad at one point that even though he came out and performed amazingly he couldn't literally sing most of his parts on this song and he teared up and apologized to ARMY for not being able to do as well as he wanted, but he still did amazing and I challenge anyone who is sick, especially with the throat, to even talk let alone sing. SIGH. I saw him live the last show before he got sick and it was beyond amazing. His voice and all of their voices were golden and it was freaking cold. I was so worried about them but they rocked it.
Yes!!! Poor Jimin was so sick in that Truth Untold clip!!! 😢

Like, it's so obvious he's sick in that clip!
Exactly! May be he doesn't really know about BTS!
The thing is that the person behind the video does not know what is happening but using that to demonstrate a pointless point.
You aren’t mistaken… that’s exactly what that was and the person that made the original video that he’s watching chose that part on purpose… to falsely reinforce their beliefs as a solo. It just boggles my mind.
yeah! I've seen other groups who've won on these shows show "strain" to their voices after wining and performing at 120%
STRAY KIDS THE KING FOREVER
Let’s go!!!
Thank you for your insight💜
It’s easy to find a handful of bad moments for any singer and make it look like they can’t sing, when you don’t include context to anything.
STRAY KIDS THE KING OF KPOP,,
I also looked for this, yes this is probably a JK solo stan, that try to discredit everyone else, I have the last month seen so many vile posts on X from especially his solo stans but from the others solo stans also and I find it really disturbing that people really think that such thing would be recieved postitive if the boys were to see it.
Thank you!!!
Thank you for the reaction, I’ve been waiting for this one! People are so hard on Jimin. It feels like they were just picking on him here. He has a beautiful unique tone and people just love to tear him down.
In my experience if a person says ‘I’m an army too’; it usually means ‘I’m not an ARMY, I’m a kpoppie but I don’t want to be attacked by ARMYs for being a hater.’
After 10 years of live singing, if this is what they manage to come up with I’m proud of my boys.
While other idols are lip syncing and perform on total backing vocals, my kings have been singing live for a decade whether rain or shine……😏
That channel must have spent months to get a 3 min clips out of it. That person really needs therapy if she spends so much time hating. I can't imagine how miserable that person is.
yes this.

20:29 for that concert, Jimin was actually sick and asked JK to support him in the back half of the song
“The Truth Untold “ performance was in Brazil I think, and there is a BTS documentary of this tour and Jimin was sick and was losing in voice. No one here disagrees with your comments. Good luck on your show. I downloaded the app and hope to see you live from my living room in Ohio. 🫶🏻
Thank you for supporting us!
Thank you 🙏 💜
🥹❤️💚💙
@ CeciliaAubreyAuthor...thank you! I knew that clip looked familiar it was an encore they are not uncoordinated like that LOL.
Thank you for the objective reaction. Truly love your input
Seriously J, you did this with class and were so careful to be technical about your criticism. Well done. The rest of the guys are about to head off to Military Service soon so keep up the reactions. It'll do our hearts good while we miss them. (I just made myself cry, ARMY wtf. 😭
Thank you so much for reacting to this video. Good luck with your shows! I've downloaded the stage app and everything. 💜
😊😊😊❤️💚💙
Ugh!
This was so helpful to hear your explanations. It makes so much sense. Thank you. 💜. Off to listen now…
Also, major Jungkook solo stan vibes of course. It's like it's supposed to prove he is so much better an everyone else.
Im a singing teacher University level you are right on every point and explanations. i used to do big stages here in Quebec Canada and fog is a killer and cause big damages to vocal cords its over drying and stiffing the vibration to help you eat half of teaspoon of Vaseline then its not attaking your cordes.
Thanks for ad info about your experience. Jimin also has rhinitis allergic as I do. People judge without know all the conditions. Love Jimin ❤
isn't olive oil okay too?
Yes, the second is encore, where artist sing, dance and just have fun after wining the award (usually groups dont perform the whole song, just some parts of it)
Yes this was an encore stage where they just have fun, not an actual performance, just as in the past encore stages of BTS they goof around, can’t remember the song at the moment, but one encore stage they all switched parts and sang someone else’s part, not their own
I just love when someone takes just a little clip of a video to comment on instead of the whole before and after of what happened, also they have no clue what is going on since they are really not a fan of the group, we all know that either the members was sick, or technical issues.
Take care. 🫰🏼💜
honestly love your bts live reactions hope you checkout more of their songs ❤
Lol! It will be a struggle!
Thank you for supporting us!
1st,
Andromeda is my fav 🎉 👏
Good luck on your concert! 🙏
2nd,
Thank you for sharing your experience as real performer, especially interm of fog.
Years ago, I trainned my vocal for choir, hence I know a little bit of singing technique, hence when Jimin was cracked, I tought he must been struggle of something on stage, but never thought, due the fog.
Thank you for acknowledge me. 👏
In live performance which involve many things, can give Mariah Carrey off tune while she is a timeless world diva.
awe thank you and thank you for supporting us!
Yessssss i just watched your video saying you would react to this!!! Im so excited for your reactionnnn
lest goooo hope you have fun!
Thanks for loving and supporting our guys💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
i've grown up in a very musically inclined family and i cannot express the amount of frustration i feel when i see random people on the internet speak about things they CLEARLY don't understand, especially about singers. there's so much that goes into a performance that people don't realize, so many factors to take into consideration, and you can absolutely tell when the folks who criticize like this have no clue wtf they're talking about lmao 😅
edit: i wanted to add that, yes, context is SO important and this person is leaving out every bit of it, which is doubly annoying. and pitting the members against each other is so???????? ugh.
thanks for making this video, so much of what you have said makes a lot of sense.
I love this „Ya‘ll are kinda beautiful savages sometimes.“ 😂
But a reminder to please stay nice is always appreciated!
Thanks for your breakdown!
Great video
the video is very clearly made by JJK solo stans (foul people). They don't deserve to listen to JK or BTS
They clearly had little knowledge of what they were talking about, and some comments just made me think "What the...?'
The way they praised Jungkook's vocals (which, admittedly, are praiseworthy) while attempting to tear down Jimin and Jin's vocals, just had the feel of a solo stan.
LOVE THIS!! Literally appreciate this context, although I already understood it. 💜
I don't know if I wanna waste my energy on that."
So, I jumped ahead to the next example in the video and - shock!
Thanks! Your professional exclamations are very much appreciated 💜
I’m so glad I found your channel for the reaction to this video. And meme selection is immaculate 🫡

Thank you!
the only instance I have personally with fog is one time at a lazer tag event the site had fog and it literally choked me so much that I had to sit out and have never done lazer tag again because of the horible experience....
This was very educational. Thanks.
Jimin was sick that day
For a bit more context, the ON stage where the person criticized them so much was an encore stage after a music show where they won first place.
"I'm not gonna take this personal"
video bashes Jimin
...
"I'm about to ruin this man's whole career"
This is giving undercover hater wolf in sheep clothing. Let's be clear no fan makes a whole video like this of a group they claim to like without showing a fair balance of hits and misses. Saying your a fans while trying to point out how bad they are is true hater stuff because if they can't sing then why are you a fan of them? Bet if you do a deep dive you'd find they actually are a real fan of another group.
My thoughts too
Absolutely!!!
Yes, agree with you. Hate people with bad intention 😮
Thank you so much for being genuine and using your objective experience to combat some of the hate that bangtan keeps getting. Can't wait for more of your bts live reactions!
Borahae :)
I have watched all of your reactions on BTS songs up to this point...
1. I appreciate listening to someone who knows what they are talking about, and judging from the background of having been in the same position (In ear monitor trouble, fog, dry vocal chords, rushed warm ups, the moments of communication between members on stage that people don't necessarily see, space+acoustics, mixing on your voice to blend with the backtrack, how hard it is to sing with a backtrack🤌🏻, etc.)
SNL--
purposely sang off beat:
i think you're referring to one instance, when suga was rapping correct?, i had heard he does this to prove he's rapping live
dropped out lines:
are you referring to when jin didn't come in one time and you could hear his backing track? you said lineS plural and i
can't think of any other instance?
changed their mics: i'll look for this and watch again
@@sc33h3o3 watch the performance. Watch suga when he steps off to the side. They do these subtle things to shut hateful people up
@@SJ3553 Meow-kay I'll watch :)😸
The part where they have drums is not a performance. Their performance was finished they already won the music show. The members usually plays or have fun during an encore. Its not a serious performance. The creator chose that on purpose.
Thank you for this. No singer can be perfect every time they perform, but people are so quick to jump on any slightly iffy performance without knowing the context or circumstances. This has been very educational 😊
