He's a natural baritone but he can sing both high pitch and low pitch songs effortlessly..he can sing both deep, manly voice and honey, husky voice. He's the one who use multiple vocal tone in BTS.. He's a vocal king.
V is so versatile. He has the largest range of the BTS members. He also likes to sing the slower songs. If you haven't done it yet, try listening to V's Tiny Desk concert. It shows his real jazz focus and his lower range stands out.
I was going to recommend Tiny Desk, too. I loved that performance. It not only showcased his wonderful voice and three beautiful songs. but also his small but amazing band and backup singers. Do you know if he wrote the songs? He seems to be an all-around great guy as well. Did you see the video of him taking a fan out for a day she had dreamed of? He was so very kind and caring with her. He seemed to be genuinely nervous about meeting her. Highly recommend it.
@@RbL2199 V is not credited as a writer/composer on those three tracks. I looked it up on Spotify. He has written music and lyrics before. I would not be surprised if he didn’t influence them in some way because they are so perfectly suited to him and his voice.
@@marshaanderson2677 i believe they simply don't fuss about it as at this point they're all as close or maybe even closer to each other than to their own siblings haha.
I’d just like to mention, that very high/ascending background ‘woooah’ up to the high G near the end is actually what he sings live with the lyric line as backing when in live performance! It’s stunning live.
V's listed in top 10 World's Best Baritone Singer list. Check out more solo songs of V lyk Winter Bear,Wherevr ur,Sweet nyt,Xmas tree,Singularity,Scenery,Snowflwr, Fri(end)s as well as his album Layover.

This song is really special! He really leans towards more R&B/jazzy tunes as you will see in other solo work. I believe V provided his own backing vocals for this so essentially, he is harmonizing with himself. (If I'm wrong, ARMY will correct me, right?) Borahae, V!💜💜💜💜
V is one of the few artists whose live performance is better than the studio versions. Please check out the live performances of Tiny Desk, Le Jazz de V, Band season and others
I learn so much when I watch your analysis and reaction. I don't have a musical background but you make it accessible still. I love this song and I appreciate their early work because we can then see their vocal growth. Already wonderful singers over the years they have really learned to hone their instrument. V loves jazz and soulful music. We see this in almost all his choices so far.
as someone with a bit of a background in music i was really impressed with how simple (easy to understand) he made the explanations! as you said, he made it accessible and sometimes that’s very hard to do when you have this much knowledge!!
“V” can hit these falsettos but is most comfortable in a lower tone, he’s very laid back and has the smoothness factor going on, prefers Jazz and music along those lines, to really see the difference, I’m surprised they didn’t ask you to hear his regularly used voice he mainly uses as a first reaction. Try “Singularity” and you’ll see the difference. Enjoyed the review 😊
@@LisaMT1218its uncommon in kpop. Theres no place for baritone in kpop groups cause songs are high pitched. Thts y most baritones end up as rapper in the industry. But V can effortlessly switch between falsetto and chest voice. It IS uncommon.
@@LisaMT1218 most people can hit high notes, but being a bass or baritone and singing for THAT LONG is tough. this is coming from a baritone. half-way through the song, if i attempt to sing it, i feel like my vocal chords with rupture. and he sings higher than me while his talking voice is deeper than mine. LOL
Using head voice is the key factor here: many (if not most) countertenors are natural baritones, but using the head voice is different and less strenuous than straining in the higher chest voice I'd imagine if Jimin were to sing this, he'd be using muuuuch more chest/blended voice and the sound would be very different 🎵
Taehyung have the widest vocal range in BTS. He is the only baritone in vocal line, he always sing in other vocal line members' range in bts songs. Only on his solos (stigma Singularity winter bear, Scenery, Snow Flower, Sweet Night, Inner child & Layover), he sing on his range. He really have a good control.
Thank you for your reaction to V's "Stigma" is voice is outstanding thus for sure it is full of layers and musicality. Since I appreciated your reaction so much I do hope that you will do a reaction if you haven't already to "Singularity" Thank you very much!
I hadn't thought of House of Cards and this, but you're right (of course). I really appreciate your commentary because I begin to understand more of what is happening within the song. I already know I like it but you help me understand WHY I like it.
I really like your analysis. BTS is one of my favorite bands and I really want to understand their music beyond what is apparent. I am very happy to have found your channel, as there are very few youtubers who offer such thorough and serious music analysis. I hope you continue to react to BTS, that way I will continue to get to know the music I listen to better. Thank you very much!
I appreciate your inputs and highlighting certain musical elements of this song. Pls react to V’s Slow Dancing and Rainy Days. They r very interesting pieces to me with interesting chord progressions. I’m so happy to stumble across your channel. ❤
If you’re into pop and mainstream music with big productions you would like Jimin and Jungkook but if your into R&B, Jazz, soul with deep meaningful music you will like V. I’m in the latter so when I accidentally found him here in RUclips I immediately liked him and bought his album layover. His Le Jazz de V video made me a fan of him. I didn’t even know his a member of BTS.
It’s nice to see you back to the channel activities and I wish a quick recovery to your voice (btw it doesn’t sound that bad as it is now)😊Thank you for your always interesting analysis, Sir!
When it comes to BTS I will always recommend any and every of their life performance, both as a group and their solo projects. They are fantastic performers life.

Don't know how I missed this! Stigma is a gorgeous strange haunting song, and you picking apart all the dissonance that's helping create that unsettling feeling is great. This song and Jimin's Lie (from the same BTS era) are probably my two favorite songs to listen to musicians dissect and analyze. Another musically interesting thing is the pair of songs Save Me and I'm Fine. They need to be heard back to back 😅 I love the variety of BTS songs & the interesting musical risks they often take. One of the drivers of that is RM, and his solo work is full of musical experimentation. It's very cool.
Si deberias ver y reaccionar a su version en vivo,es emocionante y único, nadie interpretaria mejor esa cancion, con todo lo que implica y veras como en vivo canta esas notas tan altas o las bajas bien aireadas,es imperdible.
Looking forward to more BTS breakdowns from you, "Lie " in particular has been tossed around to even college musician majors to break down and other vocal coaches as well. I believe your knowledge is far better, to be honest. Ill have to check out your playlists( if you've done Lie,then ignore this😊) Have agood day/night! Thank you for sharing😊💜🫡 um yes you did and I watched it...I'm so dumb!

The studio has a tendency to lessen the impact of Tae’s voice. It’s like they filter it out, dampen it, rather than adding to it.
