The issue with it, imo, is that he had more information for his bans than they did. If they really wanted to do it this way he should have had to ban cards they had during the banlist episode. Banning a card pulled after the banlist seemed kinda dumb.

I feel like the Lab bans were warranted considering why the Master series were made to be as far away from the meta as possible and Gage basically playing meta Lab was basically forcing Doug and Farfa to play into a "Meta" but personally I feel like the main problem is the fact they didn't account for the 3 people aspect of this season alongside the new packs basically making it easier to make meta decks. It was a messy affair over all and I am glad they addressed it but they need to basically scrutinize the new packs for how well they can be if they are ran multiple times like Lab, Tear and Swordsoul which all increase in usability the moment you get the "core" URs
To be fair most of the criticism was how disproportionate and out of nowhere it was. Frankly this is fine evening the playing field and hopefully they learn to actually tell people these things ahead of time rather than on the episode
Honestly, I feel like you shouldn't be able to open the same pack more than two times. It would avoid the problem of the near-meta lab pack for Gage and the repetitions from Farfa for future seasons. 3 people saga has been awesome, but these are definitely the lower points of it for me.

Don’t see why it was needed. It happens when you put all your eggs in one basket. So why the extra bans? Feels like it defeats the purpose of a ban list if dosent heavily impact the game somehow
I'm so late to the party, but I dont agree with Gage being able to ban Regulus. Even out the bans if you want, but it should've been limited to cards that Dzeef owned PRE banlist. Because if Regulus had already been banned when he pulled his packs, he wouldnt have gone into that secret pack. It puts Dzeef a week behind everyone else, who got to spend a week rebuilding a collection he is JUST NOW having to start rebuilding.
People keep saying Gage was punished for tunneling but Farfa opened the Striker/Mathmech pack more than Gage opened Lab, and he's also still playing it post banlist. Gage also had DPE/Rexterm banned. If there were only 2 bans he would either keep both of them, or at least Rex + an extra Lab card. Him getting the extra bans makes things more fair, but he's still worse off than if the bans functioned as normal. Boneless Mathmech has a good chance of going 6-0 over the next 3 weeks if Farfa keeps playing it. Honestly even his Shaddolls are better than anything the other two have left/could reasonably pull from 10 secret packs.
look Im one of the biggest Gage simps out there tbh, but in the spirit of fairness, letting gage get these extra bans after the banning after an episode already went through with the bans is too OP. We got to see how the initial bans impacted the decks and getting to ban more things after that is way more powerful than something like farfa and doug deciding mutually one of his banned cards to get back. Not to mention he banned a card pulled (crafted technically I guess) AFTER the banning. I think it's fair because he had a day where he was at a significant disadvantage compared to the other two because of the wild card bans. Getting an extra week to ban from compensates.
@@alexYu-gi-ohit was planned way before the Age of Gage started rolling. I think it was around episode 6 or 7? You can watch the streams if you want.

Crush Cards are goated for the Star Wars Rebels clip!
honestly that last section that just turned into a "what cards did you guys have in europe" podcast was fun
Rank 3 forgotten art. Meanwhile Diabellstar Goblins...
But, is that deck good?
@@Ragnarok540it has Diabel in it, if you cope enough anything is good
Very good Episode Dzeeff and Crushcards keep up the good Work 🔥
Personally not a fan of wild card bans, but honestly the solution was even kinda worse... Getting turbo demolished is expected if you open the same pack 3 times.
The issue with it, imo, is that he had more information for his bans than they did. If they really wanted to do it this way he should have had to ban cards they had during the banlist episode. Banning a card pulled after the banlist seemed kinda dumb.
I like Gage, what a nice young man he is
Some weeks they rock up with decks like these and it is hard going but I make it through the episode just to see what clip Crush Cards leaves in the credits. Highlight of my week.
But I am loving the round robin dynamic this season
I love the banlist evening out method- instead of taking it back, giving gage bans was such a good way of handling it imo
I'm mixed on giving Gage another 3 bans, the wild card bans were kinda weird too, but Gage getting hit twice from it was due to his own actions. I could see giving him 1 ban for it, but 3? I think that was a bit too much. He wouldn't be in such a bad spot if he didn't go into the same pack so much, so I don't see why people in the comments are complaining over something that was in his power.
kinda bullshit that gage got to ban regulus even tho doug pulled it after the banlist…
I watched the episode last week when it dropped so I had no idea about the backlash from wild card until I went back to read the comments and damn it was brutal
What a joke btw i feel bad for doug
Gage fans bitching like it was a good idea for him or Farfa to quadruple dip into the same pack.
true its not like farfa and dzeef said fir episodes to cage that its not a good idea to just build a just 1 deck @@SimplyTJB
@@SimplyTJBhey person who critizised Dzeef about the wild cards when the episode dropped here, I'm not even subbed to gage's channel and I could tell it was unfair as fuck. So don't pretend it was only gage fans that commented about it.
@@SimplyTJBBut they used the regular bans to kills his dinomorphia payoff and then invented a new banning system to kill his other strategy.
It's not that redoing packs wasn't risky, it's that it took a last minute change of rules to punish it, and that doesn't seem fair.
Thank you Doug and Farfa for being adults about this. But I just can’t help but feel you’re being taken advantage of.
It's unfair gage got to ban cards pulled after the banlist. Doug got set back a week for no reason
gage was basically forced into an 0-2 due to a random ban rule so it feels fair enough honestly
@@mark1A100 I guess that is true but an 0 - 2 is way less impactful than a week worth of pulls. Plus we didn't get to see how Therion develops which sucks for the audience
i mean it wasnt a weeks worth of pulls it was the boss momster of the pack for sure but the other therions are not awful
@@mark1A100due to a ban rule that was announced weeks earlier...and he knew he should have expected to get hit with at least partially (the collusion is a separate thing)
Was concerned about how the rollout of the compensation for wildcard ban drama would go, but I kinda like how it played out.
If i had a necklace for each time farfa pulled a archetypal boss monster that doesn't unlock a pack i would have two and you know the rest
Each time these guys say "good in duel links", It's like a card that was playable 3 years ago.
I liked when bans/limits were based on win/loss ratio and not an "everyone gets one" situation.
Hope this gets in consideration if not already

MASTER SAGA HAS FALLEN
BILLIONS MUST LAB
This was one of the episodes of all time
44:14 the melffy goes into the Zeus obviously
I don’t think that regulus should be banned as you pulled him after the ban list? Makes no sense really
I'm so happy Doug decided to keep the Lab bans. Really dodged a bullet there.
To be fair most of the criticism was how disproportionate and out of nowhere it was. Frankly this is fine evening the playing field and hopefully they learn to actually tell people these things ahead of time rather than on the episode
I am here to increase the social interaction for the algorhythms because Farfa playing Mathmech again put me to sleep.
Honestly, I feel like you shouldn't be able to open the same pack more than two times.
It would avoid the problem of the near-meta lab pack for Gage and the repetitions from Farfa for future seasons.
3 people saga has been awesome, but these are definitely the lower points of it for me.
i mean there are risks and rewards plus its luck if you get the pack unlock
definitely, doug should maybe add a rule for the next saga to maybe only let people open the same pack twice as you said
Floo is one of my favorites. MD is just merciless towards it. Robina needs justice.
I feel the solution was kinda bad just because it kinda makes last weeks pulls irrelevant and give them a huge disadvantage but thats just my 2 cents.
The best solution was to just get rid of the wildcard bans, and let gage with his lab deck.
@@augustonajm7252 or how about keep the wildcard bans but give the person who got cards banned a retaliation limit not a retaliation ban.
@@briansuarez2817 it wouldn´t have the same impact as they did to them, if they wanted to kill lab they should have let dpe live, or ban dpe and the big lab monster, that dino fusion seems like a wierd ban
@@augustonajm7252 he needed to be destroyed, he had way more wins since the last ban list episode and allowing DPE to survive a ban list is a mistake.
I can understand that Nym gets some extra bans but isn't it kinda unfair to ban a card that was pulled after the banlist episode
In my head I justified it because Gage put up with the wildcard bans for an episode (where farfa and I both played decks that are now banned)
I mean he got ban to the point he dint have a playable deck i see it fair
I'm with you, I don't think it is right to ban Regulus here. I'm fine with the additional bans to compensate for the wild card bans, but hitting something that he should not have known about feels wrong.
@@ianrohena5119 Maybe open more than one pack 4 times????
Didn't someone try to Survivor style conspire against someone like, 4 episides ago?
I truly do think that the og bans were fine. I don't mind that they were pretty one sides, but whatever helps out this series and Doug the most I guess lol
I agree. I also think he should have only been able to ban cards from before last week's episode. regulous was a low blow.
@@Richtothats valid. But one player getting 4 cards banned while another only gets 2 was freaking stupid.

"Wah wah wah, how dare Gage use his extra ban in an effective way, this series sucks now, wah wah wah"
Literally the problem. Honestly, Doug should just have gone back on the extra bans and leave it at that, everyone's gonna complain when it comes to the bans. Look at prog and how everyone cries about everything there, but Cimo doesn't give a shit about it.
@@reydragon2597then people would bitch about Lab steamrolling for 4 weeks
This was better for the series overall, doesn't matter if some people throw a fit regardless
without the extra bans, I'm sure both Doug and Farfa would have gone after Lab rather than the one-ofs for Extra deck mons. DPE and Rexterm are good, but the small engines they run can be bricy or hard to find. That'd be better for the series, but what's done is done. @@MiyaoMeow588
The difference is the people who complained the first time are fine with it the people who were fine with it last time are now complaining. However seeing the like to dislike ratio the first camp is larger
"Im just happy to be here :D"
Man as much as smugly winning gage is infuriating(a good trait as a heel) in Progression, I love this dude here, he's just such a nice fella. Id let him watch my pets in my absence.
Don’t see why it was needed. It happens when you put all your eggs in one basket. So why the extra bans? Feels like it defeats the purpose of a ban list if dosent heavily impact the game somehow
25:15 Crusty Ted, for those who remember
I'm so late to the party, but I dont agree with Gage being able to ban Regulus. Even out the bans if you want, but it should've been limited to cards that Dzeef owned PRE banlist. Because if Regulus had already been banned when he pulled his packs, he wouldnt have gone into that secret pack. It puts Dzeef a week behind everyone else, who got to spend a week rebuilding a collection he is JUST NOW having to start rebuilding.
Farfa legit looks like Tenzin from Korra in that thumbnail wow
Would love to have some Forbidden Memories songs play during some episodes. Would be amazing!
Gage pulled Floowondereeze after playing Lab really scared me for a moment
Lowkey every week i kinda feel Crush Cards is getting increasingly exasperated with those three.
Gage channeling MBT luck in these pulls. I gotta give props for him keeping so positive, I'd be malding MUCH harder.
look Im one of the biggest Gage simps out there tbh, but in the spirit of fairness, letting gage get these extra bans after the banning after an episode already went through with the bans is too OP. We got to see how the initial bans impacted the decks and getting to ban more things after that is way more powerful than something like farfa and doug deciding mutually one of his banned cards to get back. Not to mention he banned a card pulled (crafted technically I guess) AFTER the banning. Just me yapping without even seeing past the intro so far no idea how it actually plays out, but age of Gage forever nonethelessp
Giving gage more bans instead of reversing the bans is pretty based
