In the future, you should make there a way of getting Legacy Pack & Solo Mode cards. It really sucks to see them just excluded.

50:16 another classic not reading moment... i usually agree with them when it comes to chat being terrible at backseating but for once they are actually right... because LITERALLY the first line of text on the card is "During damage calculation, if this card attacks: You can inflict damage to your opponent equal to this card's ATK, and if you do, your opponent takes no battle damage from that battle." there are 0 restrictions on this effect, it's both a fire and cyberse so any effect locking he has i feel like wouldn't lock him out of it... and since it was a defense position card, the 2300 extra would have been lethal... it was a 100% misplay

Gage is such a great content creator that he makes it fun to see him lose instead of frustrating. After watching prog and master saga I can recognize his talent for reacting in a fun way
Yeah Farfa's kindof a punk when he loses isnt he? Like, I like Farfa, but I hate watching him lose cause he bitches to much. And MBT and Doug are just kinda standard. They'll roast each other but its whatever. But Gage is just, always a pleasure on screen.
No matter what happens, no matter how this plays out in the next season, please PLEASE do not ban double-dipping. Restrict it to maybe between banlists or something like that, but PLEASE don't preemptively hit double dipping when someone could pull really badly, and then never be allowed in the pack again.

I reckon double-dipping once could be allowed without much issue, it gives the players options while still preserving the randomness of packs enough that you most likely don't end up with a fully fleshed out deck - if someone does, there's always a banlist episode on the horizon. ;)

Taking the left EMZ is objectively correct because of Dark Infant @Ignister.
Even if you never match against @Ignister, it's like attacking with low ATK first because of Gorz.
Left EMZ is also safer against zone jumpscares like Geonator, because that way you have 1 more safe zone (on the far left, under your link monster, thus safe from geonator)
In the duel against Doug if Gage had attacked with Fire Phoenix into the defense position monster and used its effect to burn for 2300 instead of attacking with Jaguar it would of been game. "Attacking with Phoenix for burn wouldn't of done more damage" Yeah because attacking for 2300 is definitely not more than 600.

You're right, but it's easy to see why they made that mistake. On the surface, it looks like it's 2300 and 600 both ways, rather than 2300 and 1800.
Alternatively, decode talker would work as well since it's continuous effect.
It would also help if he stop summoning in defense when going second. That'll open up more possibilities on which monster you link off and which to keep.
@@Kenji1358 Yeah there were other options to winning. I was just commenting on what Gage did wrong with the summons he had committed to. He automatically thought he just summoned the wrong monster but he did have game with what he summoned as well.

it's funny how you all were remembering things incorrectly regarding the rulings. farfa is correct in that replacement protections doesnt work if both cards are marked for destruction, however blanket protection in general will prevent the card from being destroyed. as for the card being bounced and not working because of hidden zone that only applies if it's the card itself being returned to hand/deck/extra, however if it's another card being returned instead it will still be able to check for that condition.
that said next season 2vs2 would be funny and there is nothing stopping you from having mbt in 2 different series
In fairness to Gage, he not only drew wall for turn, he opened circular... so it was one of those situations where you were just screwed no matter whether you went first or second.
I’m saying this before watching but if Gage or farfa get 2 2 - 0s in a row they can win the series. Here’s hoping because Doug is always the true villain.

An idea for addressing double dipping packs, what if when you open a secret pack you haven't opened before, you can open 15 packs but only get 10 if you open a pack you have opened before?

I think it’s so ironic that gage didn’t ban network as he said he wasn’t bothered by the 1 of, Doug said I think you’ll regret that, and now gage has been punished by network the most
Next season if some pulls a legacy ban card. It should be a wild card for the pack. Seeing each of them pull these UR to only hear “great but it’s banned” takes all the hype out of the pulls. I understand legacy bans are necessary so that someone doesn’t auto win till the next banning but trading off for consistency makes these duels more interesting. Plus half the dust is in the card they pull so it kinda fitting.

Hot take: if you open a pack with cards locked in solomode, you can unlock them, but next week your opponents get crafts of the equivalent cards you got from their packs. Aka if i got 3 rares and 3 commons, you get that many crafts in your next packs.

Alternatively, you can sacrifice 5 packs and your crafts to get the stuff from solo with the 10 secret packs
or you can just let them have 1 copy of each card from the solo mode... with no restrictions... since they should be in their archetype secret pack anyway.

I'd be more willing to allow them to disenchant/swap out pulls from thenright side of the pack with cards from the solo mode. So for example, if you go into the Inzektor pack and you need 3 copies of Inzektor Ant, then you can sacrifice 3 of your "N" rarity pulls from the right half of the Inzektor secret pack in order to get those solo mode cards. That way it's like you had pulled them from the secret pack.

Honestly super close, everyone is within a few wins of each other.
I feel like they add a rule where if you multiple copies of the same card (EX: Gage getting multiple copies of High Wave King Caesar), you should be allowed to convert 3 of the same card to be 1 card of the same Rarity (EX: Converting 3 High Wave King Caesar into a Savant Coperincus)
Gage is so much fun to watch...Really hope he will come back for the next Saga season.

For next season, if it’s also a 3+ person series, I’d be interested in having each person’s crafts be based on their current overall ranking, not whether they went 2-0, 1-1, or 0-2 (or whatever if there’s 4 or more people).
So that way if someone loses hard for a couple weeks they can get UR crafts to really shake things up 😂

I'm pretty sure they planned to release a bunch of pendulums with different scale values depending on which zone they were in, but they saw how much the community disliked the mechanic and so they chose not to introduce extra complexity by needing to pay attention to which zone you play each pendulum card in.

I love this series so much, and I'm glad that Dzeeff won with Pendulums once at least!!
I actually love pendulums, and I'd love it if they could ban cards like appolosa, Barone, or other omni-negates, and then give Pendulum more identity.
Maybe that's just me, but I hate it when people hate on pendulums so aggressively... like okay?
Anyway, small rant out of the way, amazing series like usual!!!
so I didn't close the tab after watching this and when I opened my browser again the video wasn't loaded and instead just showed me the thumbnail, and that's when I noticed that the @ in Fire Phoenix @Ignister wasn't actually an @, it was an underlined "at"
Turns out, all the @Ignister cards on ygoprodeck (which I'm guessing is where the thumbnail card images come from?) have that, so it looks like the font that Yugioh card names are in (and that by extension is part of all the custom Yugioh card makers, including the one ygoprodeck uses for their clean hi res card images) doesn't actually have a proper @ in it, and Konami made a custom one to put on all the @Ignister cards. There's no point to this, I just thought that's neat.

Farfa that's not how being marked for destruction works. If a card has to do something like "destroy this card instead" then yes. But if a card saves all other cards through an action then being marked for destruction doesn't matter. Like Dinoster "cannot be destroyed by battle or your opponent's card effects" protects them. Jus himself would die.
Also no, cards have different triggers if they're the ones that leave. If Pendulumgraph sees a card leave the field it will trigger. This is different than cards being returned to deck and trigger if they themselves leave the field.
Someone really asked "how can they equate states and countries?" Maybe because some of our states are literally more significant (in terms of worldwide impact), have greater GDP, and landmass than a lot of countries? Along with very distinct cultures between them?
Seems like an entirely uncontroversial thing to compare when a single state is => certain countries by many metrics
Please do not FULLY ban doubledipping into packs. Maybe you're allowed to do a secret pack again after each banlist, but just outright taking that off the available list permanently sucks. Or maybe limiting to two times into a pack in total.

If gage would have attacked with fire phoenix and activated his effect , he would have destroyed the monster , and did 2300 in effect damage no? Since it activates in damage step attack goes through , then he would have been able to attack for 4850 and 1800 , since the effect of @ignister is only during its battle , isn’t that game ?

Legacy Ban requests; DPE and KEEP him there this time, that card warps the season if someone draws it, and put Fleur and Mirror Jade there for good measure. Those cards are just auto-wins in a limited format.

As others have said, please don't ban double (or triple) dipping in future seasons. bans can punish it. What if bans were changed to every 4 episodes? that adds one more set of bans and make it once a month. Might make stuff like playing mathmech 5 episodes in a row less of a thing

If a card is locked behind solo mode, you should be able to add one of the cards as a 1 for 1 of the same archetype and rarity. To prevent someone from trading some offbrand SR they weren't going to use. In order to make it fair. But then i can just trade some SR or UR i wasnt planning on using from the archetype so maybe it needs some revisioning.
fire phoenix attacking timestar instead of jack jaguar would have done it, because gage would have done the full damage of fire phoenix instead of just piercing.

gage could search meer to protect himself from OTK but that Denko hurts.. also it was game vs zeef cuz burn dmg is higher than Jaguar piercing. Damn he lost another week

Can we just limit the double-dipping to the number of archetypes in a pack? If there are two archetypes you can go for it twice, but if there is only one you can do it once? I feel making it only once would hinder packs with more archetypes even more
Maybe next season what you can do is that after every ban list, for every different pack you open, you get an extra pack to pull. Basically incentive playing different decks.
This is one of the few sealed series i watch all the pulls and dont just skip to the duels. Granted Doug has an established pend deck vs a unbuilt exo deck but it prolly would’ve been better to at least try to high roll exo in a two archetype pack instead of finding the needle in the 5 archetype haystack.😅
