One request for my OCD brain. Do the banlist at the end of eps 5/10/15/20 and not the beginning. Then dona final 21st ep. It’s confusing to my poor diseased brain that you get only 4eps at the start and then it’s every 5. Unless I am forgoring and I need meds……
Season 6 needs to have the ability for the duelist with the worst record between banlists to be able to ban/unban/limit an extra card from the player that has the best record.
i loved the 1v1v1 style but ya know it would be super cool to see like a 2v2 kinda format (maybe like pulling on master duel and using it as a card/pack collector and then using something like omega or edo pro!
I honestly think that Dzeef could have won the game if he added Dragon pulse magician at 2:08 to destroy the rukallos, because it would not return since it wasn't fusion summoned. Unless Farfa could have summoned another 3000 atk monster but.. I'm not sure if he could have. It would have been a nail biter that's for sure haha. But anyways- good job guys! loved it!
how do you go "ban pyro phoenix" when there is a mechanism by which you can prevent someone from playing more than 2 copies of pyro phoenix, and it only being good when its at 2!
For me, they're tied. They're the only two I must watch on a week to week basis. Roulette is kinda cool, Masochist is fine, and HeadToHead's King of Goat series is fun too. But these are just the best for me.

Man, Gage the MVP of this season. His pull luck makes for amazing content. And somehow he still manages to pull off crazy lines despite the universe conspiring against him.
Also because he's much less experienced than the others, Farfa having 3 seasons under his belt while Doug has 4, and not really being a sealed player in the way the other 2 are, so it's really cool when he actually pops off.
Doug is always so supportive. He'll watch one of them doing the worst decision ever and then go "oh I see, I suppose you can catch them off-guard :D not what I would do but its reasonable. I see what you were trying ^^"
Yeah he really improved in his banter as well as his pulling strategy over the course of this whole season. It was great watching his growth. Doug is the protagonist Farfa is the antagonist Gage is the apprentice who will surpass both.
What a Season of Master Saga. Great laughs, awesome decks, and the Round Robin format was fun to watch all the way through! I’m excited for whenever the next season starts in the future! (Spoilers further down) Finally, congrats Farfa for the win with Tearlament Quaeritis!
Seconded! Chapters are always nice for anything with a segmented structure like this. Retroactive chapters would be excellent if someone could find the time, but yes, please, chapters for season 6 and on!
I mean Farfa was pretty close to doing similair thing only not with lore but with semi generic decks like shaddoll Tear matmech, infernoid etc. decks that arent truly generic and have some locks, but also arent completely xenophobic and do have synergies with plenty other strats

I was urging him to go into the raid raptor pack. It's a pretty great deck, almost pure gas, and it's pretty low rarity too. Plus if he had picked up an Ultimate Falcon, that might have been it all on its own.
Wow that last duel was way better than I ever expected, being able to put a fight against Farfa’s custom hand was insane. I also didn’t know dragonpit could hit any backrow so after checking the hand at the start of Doug’s turn and deck profile to double check stuff I FOUND a crazy line that works and puts you in an incredibly winning position! So what you do is normal bunbuku, add yata, use timebreaker and bunbuku for geonator, oafdragon add back timebreaker, activate pendulumgraph, dragonpit discard pteran to pop ITSELF, graph trigger to add harmonizing, activate charge to add ankylos, scale ankylos, scales 2-6 now, pendulum summon bunbuku from extra under geonator, and timebreaker, yata, and harmonizing from hand, cl1 harmonizing and cl2 yata, add cyclone and special dharma, use geonator, bunbuku, harmonizing, and dis pater for goddess, goddess negates, now synchro timebreaker and dharma for chaos angel, chaos angel banish rulkalos, go to battle and beat over both quaeritis, mp2 set cyclone and end your turn with goddess plus its two down pointing arrows, yata plus cyclone pop, pend scales 2-6, and a chaos angel with both light and dark properties. Man I love yugioh when you get to do these sick plays. Sure the followup is all dependent on goddess and scales staying up for a good pend summon next turn, but clearing every single threat and only having to worry about the next top deck being a real threat is massive. Maybe pend is the best deck afterall, anyway great finale Dzeef and fantastic season, hoping for another banger season in the upcoming future!

While I do like mbt as a commentator his jokes are too repetitive in this series, say what you want but past the Twitch catchprases Farfa's stories and jokes are usually more entertaining.

Adding this here, not knowing if youll see this, but Mr. Zeeff this series has been an absolute joy to watch every single time, no matter the misplays, same deck farfa moments, memes and gasleaks. the final banlist was something else. dunno why abom wasn't banned and pyro pheonix simply limited since limiting pyro is the same as banning it. that said the gage hits are something else. congratz to farfa for winning the entire thing via tie breaker in which he proceeded to style on doug hoping next season is just as great if not better than this season and the gas leak isn't fixed
So this is the end of S5 huh somehow its feel so fast, the 3 player is very interesting, also hope you add more rules in future and maybe limitating the crafting like only craft the card from same secret pack as you guys open or not allowed using same deck back to back
do not like the finale banlist since it forces new decks. always thought the point of master saga was to build up a collection from scratch so at the finale you duel with the best deck you built over the whole season. Felt that rather than a grand finale where each player brings their best deck built over the season, this was just 2 episodes of a normal week of master saga combined into one. pretty lackluster imo
I though gage would end up with worse score, but he turn out to be a pretty good score all things consider. If Doug actually played a good 2nd deck he would easily won the series.
they should try to incorporate legacy packs somehow, since there's a few thousand cards that are exclusive to them and can literally never be pulled otherwise.
This was a great series and a highlight of my wednesdays, You mentioned that you were going to prevent people from double dipping into packs in the next series but I think that is part of the fun. If they overdip then they get hard punished by the ban list, maybe just limit how many times they can go into the same pack like 2-3 times? Either way, looking forward to the next season!
This season was pretty fun to watch, having three people makes it a lot more interesting, and seeing how close the season ended up was a lot of fun too! I think my main criticism of the season is repetition. Going into the same pack multiple times was annoying, but it was also frustrating to see people go into new packs, not get much, and then immediately revert back to one deck over and over. It really made the 'progression' part of progression series feel like it wasn't really there sometimes, so hopefully you've got a fix in place for that too. Even just making it so you can't play the same deck two episodes in a row would help, though I'm sure people would still try to cheese that by just making two good deck to alternate between. Having more people involved was a lot of fun though, so definitely looking forward to next season!
Looking at the scores the only way gage “wins” is he creates a 3 way deadlock. Douglilous needs a 50% win rate to win. Farfalilus needs 3 wins and Doug to lose 2 to win. I’m just figuring out stats before seeing the matches
this was a great season. easily the best one so far adding in another person really makes this work 10 times better. im excited to see the next season! only thing i hope will be addressed is a way to encourage more new decks. i think this season really highlights that without those high craft rewards it can make new packs less appealing and like they have to go back to their older strats again. i know you might be agisnt the idea but i think a way to adress this issue is give everyone a ur,sr,c,n craft for the pack they go into. it would make so many more packs so playable. and if your worried it would be like abused you could add a rule saying if you go back into a pack you dont get the crafts again. its only for new packs. i know you get alot of people in the comments saying **add this rule add that rule**. i was just thinking about this alot and wanted to throw it out there. excited to see you next season
2:12:00 Legit, when Dzeeff summoned this card, I thought this would be the biggest anime protagonist comeback moment against the most impossible odds! A card that hadn't appeared in the series until the end taking back the finale! Too bad it still wasn't enough. Also, even with all the bans, I can't believe in the previous turn, Farfa summoned a full board of over 2500 ATK monsters at once out of nowhere. How is that legal? Unbanned, that deck might very well destroy the meta!
I feel like the round robin format did help keep the results really close, if one person gets a cracked deck and starts dominating for a few weeks, the other two players will likely still trade theire games evenly among themselves until they find a way to beat out or ban the powerspike, it was definitely a neat shake-up to the saga format.
I decided to put this episode on the big screen due to it being the finale. My girlfriend looks over and says “The person who is winning looks like his face is losing”. she meant it as his face looks sad from losing games, not that he was ugly. She feels bad about the mix up.
The Gravekeeper pack was definitely a mistake. Trying to play flip effects at this point in the series is really slow until the grind game unless you have support for it like Shaddoll. Everything else in the pack is too dependent on Necro Valley. I could justify it if Dzeeff has a UR craft that guaranteed him a Necro Valley; otherwise, it was just hoping to get lucky.
They brought up RUclips Red, but I'm guessing they mean premium. When I lived in USA it cost me something like $14/month. In the Philippines it cost not even $3
A bit of a feedback on the season 5 of Saga but it was a very... underwhealming compared to past seasons. People were double triple or even quatriple dipping into packs and once the bans were in those people were devestated and had to resort to utter jank and continue playing starter deck staples like jelly cannon. I guess things weren't better with our resident gambler's Farfa and Gage who were going several times into very high rarity packs and trying to "high roll it" only to get nothing and show up with the same list over and over and over again. Maybe a rule set for the next season that you can't double dip into the same pack or you must have at least a "3 episode cooldown" until you can go back in?
“The Queratis was definitely not the play” Am I the only thinking you sacrifice Dis Pater attacking into lightning. Then queratis to reduce all but his 3 fusion monsters attack to 0, and he has 8k on board then.
I loved the Trio Saga so much, would love to see Farfa and Gage again. For next season: I'd like to have the deck of many things back (but with softer restrictions, maybe more benefits)
Could Doug have not searched for dragonpulse magician there at the end to pop the rulkallos by discarding a dinomist so that Farfa doesn't have a way over underworld goddess? And then pop the field spell so that Farfa is stuck with 2 negated quaratlas against a goddess? Or am I missing something?
Hard to see this play but @Dzeef you could gave made geotransverser switched control of the quertus with a guy on the left, then activate it to reduce all monsters but lv 8 fusions to zero. Then with the remaining monsters, go into goddess using the tear fusion. From there since dis pater is at 0 attack you cab hit over it leaving no monsters above 3000

Felt that rather than a grand finale where each player brings their best deck built over the season, this was just 2 episodes of a normal week of master saga combined into one. pretty lackluster imo

I though gage would end up with worse score, but he turn out to be a pretty good score all things consider. If Doug actually played a good 2nd deck he would easily won the series.
they should try to incorporate legacy packs somehow, since there's a few thousand cards that are exclusive to them and can literally never be pulled otherwise.

This was a great series and a highlight of my wednesdays, You mentioned that you were going to prevent people from double dipping into packs in the next series but I think that is part of the fun. If they overdip then they get hard punished by the ban list, maybe just limit how many times they can go into the same pack like 2-3 times? Either way, looking forward to the next season!
This season was pretty fun to watch, having three people makes it a lot more interesting, and seeing how close the season ended up was a lot of fun too!
I think my main criticism of the season is repetition. Going into the same pack multiple times was annoying, but it was also frustrating to see people go into new packs, not get much, and then immediately revert back to one deck over and over. It really made the 'progression' part of progression series feel like it wasn't really there sometimes, so hopefully you've got a fix in place for that too. Even just making it so you can't play the same deck two episodes in a row would help, though I'm sure people would still try to cheese that by just making two good deck to alternate between.
Having more people involved was a lot of fun though, so definitely looking forward to next season!
Looking at the scores the only way gage “wins” is he creates a 3 way deadlock. Douglilous needs a 50% win rate to win. Farfalilus needs 3 wins and Doug to lose 2 to win. I’m just figuring out stats before seeing the matches
this was a great season. easily the best one so far adding in another person really makes this work 10 times better. im excited to see the next season! only thing i hope will be addressed is a way to encourage more new decks. i think this season really highlights that without those high craft rewards it can make new packs less appealing and like they have to go back to their older strats again. i know you might be agisnt the idea but i think a way to adress this issue is give everyone a ur,sr,c,n craft for the pack they go into. it would make so many more packs so playable. and if your worried it would be like abused you could add a rule saying if you go back into a pack you dont get the crafts again. its only for new packs. i know you get alot of people in the comments saying **add this rule add that rule**. i was just thinking about this alot and wanted to throw it out there. excited to see you next season

2:12:00 Legit, when Dzeeff summoned this card, I thought this would be the biggest anime protagonist comeback moment against the most impossible odds! A card that hadn't appeared in the series until the end taking back the finale! Too bad it still wasn't enough.
Also, even with all the bans, I can't believe in the previous turn, Farfa summoned a full board of over 2500 ATK monsters at once out of nowhere. How is that legal? Unbanned, that deck might very well destroy the meta!
I feel like the round robin format did help keep the results really close, if one person gets a cracked deck and starts dominating for a few weeks, the other two players will likely still trade theire games evenly among themselves until they find a way to beat out or ban the powerspike, it was definitely a neat shake-up to the saga format.
I decided to put this episode on the big screen due to it being the finale. My girlfriend looks over and says “The person who is winning looks like his face is losing”. she meant it as his face looks sad from losing games, not that he was ugly. She feels bad about the mix up.
The Gravekeeper pack was definitely a mistake. Trying to play flip effects at this point in the series is really slow until the grind game unless you have support for it like Shaddoll. Everything else in the pack is too dependent on Necro Valley. I could justify it if Dzeeff has a UR craft that guaranteed him a Necro Valley; otherwise, it was just hoping to get lucky.
They brought up RUclips Red, but I'm guessing they mean premium. When I lived in USA it cost me something like $14/month. In the Philippines it cost not even $3
A bit of a feedback on the season 5 of Saga but it was a very... underwhealming compared to past seasons. People were double triple or even quatriple dipping into packs and once the bans were in those people were devestated and had to resort to utter jank and continue playing starter deck staples like jelly cannon.
I guess things weren't better with our resident gambler's Farfa and Gage who were going several times into very high rarity packs and trying to "high roll it" only to get nothing and show up with the same list over and over and over again.
Maybe a rule set for the next season that you can't double dip into the same pack or you must have at least a "3 episode cooldown" until you can go back in?

Am I the only thinking you sacrifice Dis Pater attacking into lightning. Then queratis to reduce all but his 3 fusion monsters attack to 0, and he has 8k on board then.
I loved the Trio Saga so much, would love to see Farfa and Gage again. For next season: I'd like to have the deck of many things back (but with softer restrictions, maybe more benefits)

Could Doug have not searched for dragonpulse magician there at the end to pop the rulkallos by discarding a dinomist so that Farfa doesn't have a way over underworld goddess? And then pop the field spell so that Farfa is stuck with 2 negated quaratlas against a goddess? Or am I missing something?
Hard to see this play but @Dzeef you could gave made geotransverser switched control of the quertus with a guy on the left, then activate it to reduce all monsters but lv 8 fusions to zero. Then with the remaining monsters, go into goddess using the tear fusion. From there since dis pater is at 0 attack you cab hit over it leaving no monsters above 3000
