HUGE egg tip - you can thank me later 😊 When scrambling your eggs don’t pre-scramble in a bowl… Crack your eggs directly into the pan so they appear sunny side up… when the whites have turned white THEN scramble the yolks in while turning the heat down. This way avoids excessive heat to the nutrients in the yolks and they will always be moist! Absolutely the best tasting scrambled eggs you’ve ever eaten (I add a little smoked paprika, small cut veggies, a dash of oregano, very light garlic salt and pepper). Serve with 1 slice of crisp whole wheat toast. Happy and healthy 💯

If you're careful when you scramble eggs, you can actually scramble the whites with a small spatula as the yolks just sit there, so the whites will cook more quickly. When the whites are done, you can remove the pan from the heat and scramble them in with the whites before plating. Saw this in a youtube video, and I've been doing it this way ever since.

Eggs are a very good source of inexpensive, high-quality protein. More than half the protein of an egg is found in the egg white, which also includes vitamin B2 and lower amounts of fat than the yolk. Eggs are rich sources of selenium, vitamin D, B6, B12 and minerals such as zinc, iron and copper.👍

The eggs and chickens and bone broth are all pasture raised and fully organic. I go there once a month to get 4 flats of eggs and 10 chickens a month. I’m new to keto and trying to do it fully clean. I also only eat grass fed and grass finished beef and bone broth. All dairy products are also organic and grass fed. All my vegetables are organic too. Interesting for about 20 years now I've been separating my eggs and drinking the raw yolk with my protein drink, and cooking the whites the next day at breakfast. Now that I've gotten to a 5 hour eating window, I drink the yolk raw to break my fast and cook the whites a couple of times a week at the end of dinner. If there is a better way, let me know. BTW, I started eating the raw yolk and cooking the whites after reading an article, written in about 1999. I can't remember the publication, but apparently this has been know for a while.

I found boiling eggs for 6-7 minutes keeps the yolks mostly runny and the whites firm. I use an ice bath immediately after their cooked to stop the cooking and make the eggs easier to peel. Separate the eggs so the ice surrounds each individual egg and take them out between 10-15 minutes, not longer. I eat four of them a day (farm fresh and store bought) and have been for years. My cholesterol has been fine and I get a check up once a year.

Omg, when I started watching Dr. Berg he had about 700k subscribers which I thought it was a lot. That was about couple years ago. Look at his subscribers now, over 4m. Nice going Dr. Berg! and thank you for all these helpful and informative videos. I’ve learned so much. I just wish I could stick to your advice 😬 We do try to eat healthy and eliminate processed foods as much as possible, but sometimes we “fall of the wagon”. Last year we did semi keto for about 3 months and we both lost weight, improved our cholesterol and blood pressure numbers among other. This year is another story. Summer was okay, we biked and walked almost every day, but now with low temps, wind and rain it’s hard, kind of stuck at home and boredom is setting in, and we tend to eat more, so maybe a road trip somewhere would do us good. Will we ever be able to get back to normal? Anyway, thanks again Dr. Berg and keep bringing us these invaluable videos 👍 I try to share them on FB with others but I may get a couple likes, that’s all. I guess some don’t want to learn, I guess. Maybe if they did there wouldn’t be so many obese and undernourished people in our country. Sad, just like our American SAD diet.

    • @curious1366

@Tashmit Singh In a restaurant, you could choose poached or hard cooked eggs because these are cooked in water. Then you wouldn't have to worry about what oil they use.
Maybe there are some restaurants that advertise that they use good oils....if you're lucky.
Or... only eat scrambled eggs at home.

  • @alaskayoung16

When I scramble eggs I fry the eggwhites and put the yolks to the side. Once the whites are completely done I take the pan off the heat then add the yolkes. You can also do that step on the plate. Basically the yolks don’t get cooked whatsoever, they do get warmed up through the warmth from the cooked eggwhites. the easiest way to cook eggs for me! Also foolproof 😅 When I boil them the whites usually don’t get completely done, or I overboil them. poached eggs are difficult and again easy to mess up.

  • @lloydhlavac6807

I make simple omelette. I preheat the pan on medium heat, with a pat of pastured butter. I separate 3 eggs, mix in a bit of Redman's Real Salt and MCT oil or melted butter with the whites, and pour that in the pan, and turn the heat down to low to cook. When they look done, I pour in the yolks and make sure they spread out. When the yolks start to firm up, I turn the heat off but allow them to keep cooking a bit longer (electric stove top stays hot a while) before I fold the omelette over and scoop it out onto a small plate. I usually have some sort of baked meat (toaster oven) with this. Ground beef, bacon or chicken breast. Yum!

Make cloud bread, or use bacon or thin strips of beef. All work.
      Cloud Bread
Place to backing sheets with parchment paper in the oven ate 280. Leave.
Separate 4 eggs. Add 1/4 teaspoon of cream of tartar to whites. Whip until stiff, but not dry.
Add 2 tablespoons full fat yogurt or sour cream to the yolks and blend together.
Fold the yolk mixture into the whites.
Remove 1 tray at a time and drop 6 blobs about 4 inches across on it. Don't get too finicky. It does not have to be perfectl. Return to oven and repeat with second tray.
Bake 22 to 25 minutes, depending on your oven.
If you are not making to go with eggs, you can sprinkle grate cheese on before putting in the oven or a combination of monk sugar and cinnamon for a treet. Sometimes I mix in a little apple with the cinnamon.
Or if you like garlic, brush with butter and garlic after baking.

A trick I do with eggs if I want them scrambled/fried is I will separate the yolks and white. For example, if I am eating 6 eggs I will separate 5 yolks and leave 1 egg whole. I scramble the 6 whites and one yolk soft and then fold in the raw yolks at the very end. The residual heat will highly warm the yolks.
