Hello! I wanted to try this cake for a birthday but I am not a fan of buttercream frosting, can I use the same flavor whipped cream frosting from one of your videos instead of buttercream?

Ugh I made 2 batches if the cake still not sure why its not rising. But you didn’t put sugar in this in the video hut you have sugar in the instructions and on your website. Now I’m gonna have to make another batch with the sugar and see how that turns out…

I made this cake today. Turned out perfect but was bland. Didn't look at the ingredients, only went off the video and I don't believe any sugar was added with the dry or wet ingredients. Will have to try again.

I have a serious questions??? Why you didn’t just pipe the boarder, spread the frosting, sprinkle the strawberries, then place the cake layer on top??? Your method seems so unnecessary🤔
That's a great question. I wanted the juices from the strawberries to act as a kind of syrup and soak into the cake layers. If I spread the frosting first, the berries would just sit on top of the buttercream and eventually start seeping out the sides. Whenever you have a fruit cake, it's best to add the fruit directly onto the cake, then frost the next cake layer and invert it. :)

I don't recommend it since the cake won't bake evenly. You can split the batter in half and bake the second half later.
