- Every single Acceleration in the Cyborg 009 and Devilman crossover, Cyborg 009 vs Devilman OVA.
002/Jet Link utilizes his prototype accelerator in this series, and is the only anime after Cyborg Soldier to depict Jet's accelerator usage.
Apparently demons are capable of reacting to users in Acceleration Mode through some mystical means, but I don't know enough about Devilman to say what it is; I'm mainly a Cyborg 009 fan.
This is the only series where Joe's Accelerator manages to launch him into orbit and back down to cause an explosion attack where he lands, which if I had to guess, reaches around the speed of light, if not exceeds it.

Loved the fact that they remembered that even with his jetboots, 002 has an early version of 009's accelerator. WIth Professor Gilmore nearby, who knows if they guy made some upgrades?
They might pull out the "there's not enough space because of his jet boots" card but I hope he'll get the upgrade, he's my fav guy.
This was Devilman's & 009's best time as a team. They did good.
Still one of the coolest crossovers. This is exactly the kind of animation I wanted to see in the Netflix CGI series they had planned for Cyborg 009. They also recreated all of OG designs perfectly whereas the CG series changed them too much. I would love to see a Casshan remake in this style with a story that isn't as edgy, and depressing as Sins.

This is one of the best 009 media
So here a fun fact as the too why 009 was shock when devil man was able to keep up him in acceleration. Alot of us know 009 has superhuman speed which makes everything around him stop to a stand still or move very slowly, even when he not in acceleration can run up to speeds of Mach 5, which is just as fast as Jet flying at maximum speeds. Joe cannot touch people while in Acceleration Mode, since normal people cannot physically endure such fast speeds for very long. Doing so will produce devastating results, bringing severe injury or death to the person being Accelerated.
The fact devil man was not only able to keep up with joe at first looking like he frozen until he broke into the same speed as Joe, It threw him off his balance as he never thought an organic creature would be able to keep with him let alone stand against his punch's and kick, as by this time Joe and his team have only known few cyborg's too keep up with him, an even thought devil man was something with cybernetics too explain why he was able too keep up but as we know it just the fact he a demon and the normal laws we follow do not apply too this guy like at all.

So if 009 is now canon to Devil Man (at least in the universe of this crossover), assuming it's just 009, none of the other related series (because if we go down that rabbit hole we're probably going to not stop till we hit Power Rangers), think they would survive the war between Akira and Lucifer, I know there's the whole "Devilman is a timeloop" thing, but assume that works more like it's just Lucifer/Ryo getting sent back to relive the same events across multiple timelines, or we're looking at a sort of thorny crown style loop (ie there is a core loop but at multiple points you will have events that veer off into their own separate timelines unrelated but similar to others). Think they'd manage to survive it, we've seen versions of events where there are other survivors save Ryo, even if earth is devastated, even timelines where Ryo and Akira never fight (Apocalypse for example). Heck if we start including those other shows/series (Skull Man, Kamen Rider, Kikaider, Super Sentai, etc...), in theory you do have people who might have the capabilities of surviving and repairing the earth, or at least evacuating any survivors to other planets. Hell going off that logic, that could be used to have them escape the loop, say it was mainly earth that keeps getting reset, anything off earth at the time wouldn't be brought along for the ride.

i remember when this anime was playing on cartoon network many years ago. watching this made me think of another one that came on, can't remember it. i think it was made by the same person who made this. the main protag was an android or cyborg and he would carry around....a guitar i think. lol i seen so many anime in my lifetime, it's crazy. i'll say this much, if i was in this group, everyone would be getting nicknames. i'd get tongue tied far too easy in the heat of the moment trying to call out numbers and such.
you're referring to kikaider, he carries a guitar and is an android

@@illuno--bf8dx1bw5j 009 would win, I think David is definitely faster but 009 is far more resilient and durable. 009 can take some punishment and his acceleration doesn’t cripple him unlike the Sandy. I swear those characters used acceleration like 20 times while David can’t manage that much. I know that someone like 002 would have a run for their money with Adam Smasher and David with his exoskeleton
009 would win, Joe is ultimately capable of breaking past the limiter and at his greatest feat of acceleration obtain speed that transcends reality.

it would be intersting to see just what the reaction of an android still in the realm of man would think when he meets an android whos not only living in peace, but infinitly more danagereous.

No uh, just Devil Man.
They look very similar though
Same character different continuity/kinda the same character and continuity, long story short, every single interpretation of Devil Man is technically canon, it's just God really hates Ryo so he has him in an eternal time loop which usually ends in him killing the only thing he ever really loved (ie, Akira), and across the various loops you'll find a bunch of variations, like when exactly things went to hell, how exactly are the demons operating, Ryo's fake backstory, Miki's personality, who dies and in what order, etc... So (at least in theory) the original anime is canon, Crybaby is canon, Devilman Lady is canon, Amon Apocolypse is canon, the Live Action movie is canon, the various manga's are all Canon, it's just these are all different points on one continuous timeline/ loops that for whatever reason managed to veer off into their own thing (Lady being arguably the biggest example). Pretty much no one in universe save God is fully aware of the loop, in most versions Jenny (the red haired head with the crazy eyes that follows Ryo around) is at least partially aware of it, but usually not enough to actually do anything about it, and it seems everyone on earth is trapped in it, barring those loops where things manage to veer off.
