A true masterpiece! One of the best anime they ever made!
I know it's cool like that, but I'd love to see them again in a sequel. Who knows if they ever will ???
Have to be a different story. JP and Sonoshee died when the car ripped apart and their spirits crossed the finish line 🥲. Technically they won, which is all they wanted.
@@bosunhawk They did not die. Redline cars have some sort of safety bubble in every car and they were in it, you could clearly see that. Though your interpretation is nice and they definitely hinted at it symbolically while still giving a good fallback for us people who do not like good characters dying.
@@bosunhawk but please! Who believes it ??? They are not dead. First everyone saw them leap and cross the line! This already clarifies everything!
@@uncannysnake Then everyone sees that they have crossed the finish line with a big leap. From what I understand it was JP's powers that protected them. That blue fire is yours to me. It was evident that he had some powers.
@@Paarzival9877 The beauty of anime is its all up to interpretation. Whatever helps you sleep at night, I guess. Its all fantasy anyway.
You wanna talk about under-appreciated, this movie is a prime example of it. Love this movie to death
Born too late to explore the earth, born to soon to explore the galaxy, born just in time to watch this masterpiece.
This is insane wtf
this is some of the craziest animation and sound effects quality ever
Can we all agree the dub voice lines fit so much better for this movie?

I avidly enjoy anime, and have watched quite a few. I had never heard of this Redline until reading a review of a different anime that caught a comparison to it. How I never discovered it makes me feel as if I had been living under a rock.
IMO, this movie is one of the greatest achievements in animation. Not from a storytelling perspective (although the story is good, if a bit of a fever dream), but purely on animation quality and aesthetic. I rank this right alongside Akira in terms of how much I like the animation, the 2 best of all time in my opinion. Studio Ghibli occupies a lot of the slots beneath these 2 lol.
Many years later i still watch this clip.
One of my favorite movie just for the animation. It's crazy that this movie came out like 15 years ago. It looks beautiful as ever.
Crazy to think that this movie is free on youtube.
Wtf, this is the coolest shit i have ever watched. Its 2022 now, how could i have missed such badass things.
Initial part where the kid is trying to get her dad to open the camera while the dad fumbles with the unfamiliar piece of tech ... pure genius addition.
Such an cool cast of characters and the animation my dudes.. why have I not seen this!😭
hands down the best intro to any racing movie ever. this is how you sell the sheer speed and insanity of these races. abso-fucking-lutly love this movie
No idea why this was recommended to me now. However! I'm pausing at :27 and putting it on my to watch list. Be back after I watch the movie.
It's a madhouse made anime y'all. Literally no surprise this shit looks amazing. We all saw opm season 1.
@Piyush Sharma studio best is a proper name like studio wit? Never heard of studio best maybe gigguk could email them again like the wit one
This is the best animation I've ever seen next to akira
I keep rewatching this race every week
That last frame around 9:52 with the car hood in the sun is such a powerful frame: its first thing about JP to stop moving the whole time he is on screen. Beatifully framed falling action
Me: How much faster are they gonna go?!
Animators: Yes
It's such a shame this movie flopped it looks like it could be such a classic along wih high sales
I watched this movie 3 times the first day I saw it. It's so colorful, fun, and shallow enough to dance in over and over. I think this is the only bluray I own.
Literally just watch this after the vid. Thanks for posting this.
i still can't believe this amazing anime is almost drove madhouse into bankruptcy.
RedLine is the only movie I have ever pirated, then bought.
Did the same damn thing 😂 first time
Watching it on my cracked phone enhances the experience
Paradelous is why im here, the superb animation and cars are why I stayed.
I had never heard of this anime until about a year or two ago, where a friend described it as "F-Zero meets Wacky Racers", which was more than enough to sell me. He didn't mention that the animation is some of the best damn work in anime, and it floored me knowing everything was hand-drawn. Shame that it isn't more well-known.
WHY HAVE I NOT SEEN THIS MOVIE?!?!?!
do it . right now .
@@Valdemore4 done and done and holy crap was it ever a ride. Like if an anime was a rollercoaster
This is on Amazon Prime if anyone wants to watch it.
Top quality animation better than 99% anime in 2022
"You know those Hana Barbara wacky race cartoons in America?"
"Yeah. What about it?"
""What if we make it metal?"
This is Art. Nothing else to say.
この動画でテンション激アツになったメーン達は本編も是非見てくれよな!チェケラ!!
Hey this anime is still Good on 2022
"Every frame is a wallpaper" The movie
This movie has a simple plot, but DAMN the animation is good.
