Had some time to kill during this quarantine, so I blew the dust off the old laptop and decided to play around. Listening to Dan Terminus quite a lot gave me a great idea for a little project.

(If yous didnt know my old laptop I made this on died a long with everything on the hard drive. Even the 2 videos I started after this)

I got chills too when I first played it back. I think both the track and film were destined to be together.
Props to the cameraman, whose speed is unparalleled on this earth and all others.
Redline is a good movie;
But for those of us with a little gasoline in our blood, that opening scene race was...

When I first watched this movie, I stopped the movie right after this race scene; went out into my workshop and started wrenching on that project engine. Came back into the house 5 hours later and finished the movie.
this movie pushed me into top speed racing.

Aye, every. Single. Frame. Hand drawn.
I've seen multiple AMVs featuring this race, and I always come back to this one. Is the best edited, the song choice is the most fitting, the synchronization between the different "acts" within the race AND the song, ALL OF IT has me coming back to this particular Redline AMV, as being the best one on the entire site. I know I've probably already said this in an older comment, but you did a top notch job with this.

Everyday that i come to work, i watch this like 10 times before doing something, no jokes, especially from 3:55 onwards. Everything just give me a sensation that words cant even explain, i almost tear up everytime, just bc of the emotions. That AMV is really a masterpiece alongside with the song and movie. Until watched this, I never knew this movie exist, I questioned myself why and watched Redline 3 times, sometimes frame by frame. Now i know, It took 7 years for Madhouse to draw over 100,000 drawings to make this happened. Redline is pure art, passion and perfection, same as this AMV. Thank you Cryotek!

MADHOUSE almost go into bankrupt at creating this masterpiece, there was so many frames of hand made animation that it was so expensive.. However this gem was created for eternity.
Redline is a masterpiece on its own already in god knows how many different ways. But goddammit... This is amazing. I keep coming back to listen and watch over and over again.

So... I'm finally commenting. I've watched this on loop maybe 10 times today now, and about about 200 times over the last month. The editing is glorious. Your video is watch made me find, then watch Redline. My 2.5yr old daughter also loves this video, and it's how I discovered that my young daughter loves synth music like I do. Between baby shark or Dan Terminus, she picks synth all the time, softly going "bam cha bam cha bam cha bam cha" in time to the beat.
Also, she always gets so shook each time at the end "Oh no oh no yellow car yellow boom fly oh no" 😂

Redline is single handedly the most well crafted, absolute bat-shit crazy speed fest I've ever seen. For anyone who loves racing or even just pure speed, this movie is god tier. Especially the fact they can make it seem like it's so much faster. They SAY the cars are only going 300khm, but then later on they get an 86,000 HP engine, and I'm pretty sure they reached a significant percentage of the speed of light a few times. It's hardly a movie as much as it is a whole goddamn experience. Well worth the watch. And definitely makes you want to go race and push yourself and your car to the maximum

Honestly reminds me of podracing. But also.. like does anyone else kinda wanna experience how fast he's going. Like ignore the bomb. That took him out an just imagine he went so fast his car physically blew up. Like... Imagine how many G forces you'd feel for that.
Also her car somewhat aerodynamic.
While his feels he's brut forcing the elements.
This is a masterclass in AMVs, great editing, i love that you cut out the parts with "goofy" car physics, only kept the ones with the send of SPEED :D
4:25 - no comment here, maybe the most glorious music/animation synergy that i ever saw in an AMV
Also i like the detail of Sonoshee and JP having the interaction after the explosions, that was a good touch aswell, added a lot to the scene and made it even better than the original for me :D

3:56 is for me where it's at the build up and then that simple following of notes. Really watched it 10 times in two days then decided to watch redline was real cool but this is just so much better. Every time I watch it i'm vibing so much !

I mentioned in a previous comment that my laptop which was quite old completely died on me and I had al least 2 new videos on the go. Unfortunately if my hard drive doesn't survive then I'm back to square one and zero laptop. Probably take along time before I can save up for a new one.

Nice edit, you managed to use the footage to tell a similar story but not quite the same, I think you actually did a little better than the movie by having the gold nitro only show up once and recutting it to show the glowing transam near the end rather than in his opening move. Felt much more like a last resort that way than in the original sequence. Also not having the crash be the result of outside interference makes it feel more real, like he crashed because of his own hubris or need to win rather than because the race was fixed.
Dude you got it! 😁 yeah I did want to try and make the race feel different from the original without the 'sabotage' which was quite challenging but I managed in the end. Im glad you noticed all those things I did man! (that's awesome.. really is 😁👍).

Honestly....this feels like a legit music video for this song not a fan made. Not to take away from your work. What you did is amazing. Sah Clips of "Redline" here on YT, searched the net for a lokal trader here in germany who sold this movie, in the end i had to buy it from a trader in USA. Sah that movie over 3 Times in a row and it is a masterpiece in every way. Such a shame that most people dont know this movie exist.
