    In the reverse you say he is using his legs by rotation his right leg and keeping a bent knee. I would disagree and say he his using his hips/butt by rotating his right knee and keeping it bent. I think he could have extended his right leg just a little bit more so that his power would go through the ground.
    A hard leg extension followed by a right leg turn is a different kind of reverse. That would be more like Mike Buncic and Anthony Washington in the discus and Brian Oldfield in his 75ft shot put throw.
    I would contend Kanter is finishing similar to John Powell. I know that is what his coach's technical model is.

      We do not coach that. Our model is built around bent leg rotation at the finish to keep energy moving around and out into the sector, not up and against gravity. You can watch Harting, Stahl, Justin Rodhe, and Crouser as examples of this bent knee finish for shot and discus

    I wonder if Kanter and Stahl are passive with there left foot out of the back? It looks like their left foot barely gets past 90 degrees out of the back. I am wondering if there left arm/ shoulder is the mover out of the back and the left foot rotates as a by product? What are your thoughts on that?

      Possibly. We are not super big on an active left side push when coaching. We mostly emphasize an active right side pull you off your left with subtle push off the left. Could be that they have a bigger emphasis on an active right side. I would have to speak with Vesteinn about it. Great question 👍

    Hey I enjoy watching your videos. I'm a para seated thrower. On the release. what is the best way to generate more spin?

    • @RobK0304
      @RobK0304 3 года назад

      I had the issue of not enough spin on my discus (basicly throwing it dead still in the air) what helped me was changing my hand position on the discus: my index finger was on the top half of the discus so basically my palm was on the center of the discus. I shifted my palm to the lower half of the discus so my index finger would be almost dead center. The easiest way to compare it is like shaking someone's hand. Hope this helps

      Want to make sure you release it flat with your index finger being the last to touch and roll it off the that finger very fast as you punch your shoulder thru. Hope that helps 👍
