Thank you Sally. I have seen and done this with just flat pieces, one on top of the other, but using scraps like this takes it to another level, fabulous project! 💖💖💖
I love all of your videos! You've really gotten me hooked on fabric slashing. Your videos are so relaxing and informative and your presentation is so elegant!!!
Love this technique. Created a beautiful piece last night. The time goes by in a flash. So much fun discovering the layers and effects. Thank you so much for sharing this with us.
Absolutely beautiful! I love this technique! I love how the black contrasts against the bright colours! I have subscribed promptly and will keep an eye out for more of your videos! Thank you for posting ❤ I am actually recovering from a 4 years long creative block. Brushing up on my research and textile fix!
I love your videos. The only thing is, I turn up so I can hear what you are saying, and when the music comes on it is SO LOUD! LOL! I am watching at 5 in the morning, so going to wake everyone up! HAHA! Thanks again :)
Love your process and ideas. Do you typically let the piece air dry after laundering? Can’t wait to work this into some upcycled purses! And I subscribed to your channel!!
Hi there! Yes I used a presser foot (1) reverse pattern sole with a universal needle size 80. Hope this helps and DM me a pic of your work to my instagram 🙂
Love,love, this piece! So 😍

Hi Barbara thank you so much. Yes I agree some of my earlier videos had that but more recent ones don't I promise!!
@@didsburyartstudio Awesome! I am a subscriber, just tried my very first slashing/manipulation thanks to YOU :)
This is a great idea. I teach sewing to kids and adults. What would you do with the finished piece?
Hello there! a classic popular one to use on the front of a cushion.🩵
Bellísimo
Excellent thank you Elsa

👋👋hi Yes I do..thank you for subscribing.
Love it! Are you sewing a straight stitch or zigzag? Can’t wait to try it
Hi Roxanne I think I used zig zag stitch in that one...I am currently filming another fabric slashing video look out for it!
Have you ever created a garment using this technique? Love it.
Hi no I haven't but thinking it would be fun!
@@didsburyartstudio would love to try! A little worried about weight. I have a ton of denim to upcycle and you have given me some ideas.
I love your channel so much. Extremely helpful. What is the name of the small clips you used to hold the fabric together, please?
Not sure now just google small clamp sewing clips ?...😊 probably amazon...
Fantastic! Thank you
I really love your videos! What fabrics do you think fray the most? 😊
Hi denim frays brilliantly. I am currently doing some videos with satin which frays a lot!😃
👏👏👏
Hi Sally! what needle type and size including presser foot did you use to sew your work? I would like to try this manipulation myself :)
Hi there! Yes I used a presser foot (1) reverse pattern sole with a universal needle size 80. Hope this helps and DM me a pic of your work to my instagram 🙂
@@didsburyartstudio Will do! Thank you so much :))
Would you be able to sew a garment with this technique?
Hi Nancy yes flat panels may be best (a bodice or something) as the material becomes quite bulky...
Show Brasil Rio de Janeiro ❤️❤️👏👏👏😍😍😍🎉🎉
thank you I adore those colours😃
💐💐💐
thanks!
I want to send you some photos of my slashed quilts. How can I send them on this channel ?
oh sorry Barbara just read this! but you managed to get them to me via instagram messaging...they were stunning!
@@didsburyartstudioLovely to be in touch with you. I'm not highly tech minded so take awhile to find the way to get photos to you. Now I know.
