Hello Sally, I just got back into art after many years, and I love this crashing technique. I will definitely be binge watching all your video's, amazing work! I love that you aren't afraid to tackle any project, and you find the best techniques. Can you let me know if I can use other products since I'm not familiar with them all? I can't find solufleece, could it be in another name, or do you know what would be comparable? I so appreciate your tutorials!
Hi 👋 the solufleece is a water-soluble stabilizer and I know Amazon sell this. You may find my textile techniques playlist useful for some other ideas. Thanks so much for watching. Sally🙂
HI! In the meantime, thanks for the video! very interesting I wanted to ask an ignorant question on the subject: to obtain this rounded effect I necessarily have to have solufleece and bondaweb ?no for example, if I wanted to do this manipulation with fabric, isn't just the piece of cotton fabric sample enough right?
hello, thank you for the video!! is it possible to just use the solufleece? i don't have any bondaweb and would rather use what i already have. thanks for your help
Hi Heaven unfortunately I've not discovered other ways of achieving this...perhaps the rest of the community might know?🙂 I don't think it was too expensive from Amazon....
Hi there Excellent thank you. You can trim off the threads but I wouldn't pull out the threads! I'm sure you could try making flower and leaf shapes yes. To be honest I have not tried to wash this crashed fabric...give it a go and let me know!!💕thanks for watching and enjoy the rest of the playlist!
Hi everyone hope you are all well...Crashing is a textile technique which is fun and quick! we use bondaweb and solufleece (which is a watersoluble stabiliser if you weren't aware) and the steam of an iron crushes up the fabric so that it shrinks... Remember to like if you enjoyed watching! thank you as always Sally xx
Hello, I'm enjoying your videos these days. I live in Seoul, South Korea. I left a comment because I wanted to know what the ingredients are that shrink with steam, but I can't find where they left a reply. If you don't mind, could you reply here?🩷🙏

Hi love your vids, do u paint your fabrics, before doing this technique? We have Krinkle Magic, by Jenny Haskins here in the states.
Great! yes I had used brusho dyes on different fabrics then you iron. I've never heard of `crinkle magic sounds good!

Hi there solufleece and bondaweb needed to shrink and ripple the fabric👍🏻
@@didsburyartstudio ok perfect! Thank you❣️
hello, thank you for the video!! is it possible to just use the solufleece? i don't have any bondaweb and would rather use what i already have. thanks for your help
Hi Emma not sure is the answer! the bondaweb glues the solufleece to your material....
Hello ma’am! In any case can you suggest an alternative materials for solufleece?
Hi Heaven unfortunately I've not discovered other ways of achieving this...perhaps the rest of the community might know?🙂 I don't think it was too expensive from Amazon....
It's possible to just use the bondaweb? I no have solufleece
Hi there thanks for watching. I'd say not really as the bondaweb heats up it performs like a layer of glue.
@@didsburyartstudio what if use an embroidery backing stabilizer to replace the Solofleece?
What kind of paper are you using on the Iron?
HI Martina
I think you are talking about the brown paper? that's baking parchment...
