My childhood friend, Eddie Hawrysch. We went to school together from 1962 (Keele St. Public) to Runnymede and Humberside C.I. (1970-1975). Eddie and I were side-by-side as the two tallest kids in the class. RIP Ed.

@Karkle thanks; I will search for this book tomorrow. Loved this band from the beginning. As much as I love Stones, Faces, Zep, Etc., these guys I just adored seeing them perform live. Chris’s pure LOVE and goal of perfection, along with every other band member, is just so beautiful to see...early Beacon theater days, plus club shows in ‘96 were pure beauty - and in many ways, they beat the stones who I also adore, in their on-stage efforts...
Hope to see a Crowes band again someday, after this virus ends...

I ran into Eddie in the Austin airport years ago. I wasn't 100% sure it was him, but I thought so. Anyway, I figured he probably didn't want to be bothered, so we looked at each other and I mimed playing the piano with a 'question' look on my face. He gave me a huge smile, mimed playing the piano at me and nodded his head. No words, but a wonderful, wonderful moment.
Great piano player, great guy. RIP Ed.

Anyway I told all my close friends holy shit these guys just gave rock N roll another day in the sun. I was so happy to buy some NEW music to put with my allman bro’s , CCR tapes. the Crowe’s mean a lot to me so please dead your bullshit guys. Come back with some new hard southern boogie. I was in Portland watching the brothers of a feather sho(crowd and band really vibing well) a few months ago and Chris told a story about Eddie heating up hot dogs under the faucet on the road. Chris something to the effect of “hey Eddie they gonna have food at the venue” as Eddie replies “yeah man we gonna eat there and then we gonna come back and eat these hotdogs”. Chris said he ate those fucking hot dogs too. You can tell Eddie really influenced the Robinson boys when they were young and growing as people/musicians on the road.

I visualize snoopy dancing with sally on schroeder's piano...during the intro and outro.
