Marc Ford and the Black Crowes were a marriage made in heaven... His playing bought something to their music that other guitarists have not managed to do... His tone and execution is sublime... Southern Harmony and Amorica are two of my favourite albums... period. The musicianship on those records is out of this world

Chris Robinson is probably the finest vocalist of his generation and up there with rock's greats. I've seen the Black Crowes in their pomp( fanfu*kintastic) and CRB this year, ( fu*kin amazing) both were incredible concerts. I missed Rich this year due to work which was a real shame but saw Luther in the Northern Mississippi Allstars (brilliant). I hope the Crowes come together in the near future for a world tour as they are an absolutely amazing band with an impecable musical taste. The ex-members are producing some of the best music out there but to deny the Crowes and their fans would be a real shame.

ParatodalavidaVideo Before I ever heard the Crowes, I was, and am, a Skynyrd and Allmans fan. Love my southern music. Turned 13 when Skynyrd’s plane crashed. Saw the Rossington-Collins bands last show and have seen the Allman Bros play multiple times in the Carolinas and Florida. Will never forget their shows. Well, the stories might get a little warped with time but I’ll remember most of it. I saw the Crowes in south Florida several years ago. I just love their sound. They rose to the top of my charts. I’ve seen alot of bands play, bluegrass (my first concert, the Seldom Scene) rock (Foghat my first rock concert), classical music at the Kennedy Center, marimba in Guatemala, ranchera in south Florida (Vicente Fernandez, an amazing man) and everything from Aerosmith to ZZ Top. Blackfoot twice at a theatre , whose name I can’t remember, in Baltimore that had amazing sound. I miss the Crowes. For me, they filled the void of the original Skynyrd that left when I was 13. Different sound but same southern charm. Ronnie, Allen and the boys who’ve left can’t jam together anymore, for now, but Chris and Rich can, and should. I want to hear me some new tunes from the old Crowes.

@@mauallen4234 I was about to be 4 yrs old when the plane crashed in my home state. Crazy I wound up dating a girl some 30 yrs later who was from Gilsburg and her Dad was one of the 1st responders. And not the EMS kind. He was the ol country man that heard the crash and jumped in his pickup to head to the scene. It was like 45 min to an hr before the trained paramedics found the crash sight. The 1st time I met him I had to ask and all he could really muster up was something like "we just went down there and started pulling people out and loading them up and driving to the hospital". It wasn't until much later that they found out it was Lynyrd Skynyrd... As far as the rest of your story it sounds like we share the same tastes. I've seen more live music than I can remember. CRB is a killer live show and especially in an intimate setting.. RIP Casal..
But here comes the BUT.. There will never be another Rossington, Allen Collins, Steve Gaines and Leon Wilkeson on the stage together sadly.. I can't even imagine what those shows were like in the 70's.. Thank God we have RUclips to show us!!

Chris watched Mick, Mick has said many times, he was so terrified on stage he needed a distraction to get through parts where he was not singing. While watching Tina Turner perform he found the missing piece needed to his puzzle. From there on he says he copied Tina's every move as he recalled. Tina influence's Mick, Mick influence's Chris. In my opinion 3 of the finest to front a rock and roll band ever. Stevie Nicks has her own little area just to the right of everyone else on a small riser

If he had any kind of humility at all, the very talented Chris Robinson would have recognized the AMAZING musicians that surrounded him every night (including his brother) and would've given them a shout out for delivering such a great performance (to go with his great vocals). Alas, for all his talk about good energies and whatnot, Chris was always too self-involved to realize that the awesomeness of the Black Crowes was not all about him but about how phenomenal they were together. Pity.

Greetingsgreat state of Arkansas Fort Smith yes Chris like many people are self-centered and narcissistic we have a lot of that in our family a lot of Christians are that way a lot of secular people are that way also they are self-indulgent no need for this marijuana crap it's bologna it's for weak-minded losers and selfish people don't want to waste money on this crap and we believe me they drove their parents crazy for crying out loud and Rich they were both gorgeous gorgeous babes and stuff like that there my third cousins are there still good-looking we pray for Chris and try to talk to him as much as we can and enrich almost got his girlfriend pregnant it was a mess I don't know how many times have cops were called out to my aunt Nancy and Uncle Stan's house those are their parents of course may they rest in peace they were phenomenal people and didn't deserve all this hell but thank God the brothers help them financially like they were supposed to love and help one another are family sticks together no matter what we're supposed to help the least of these the homeless in the poor when are people going to learn and now probably the concert's going to be canceled because of the coronavirus The 20/20 30-year reunions tour God bless you all stay safe

Agree, and I take offense that he always has to represent Cali. Most shows he flys their flag. At this show he's wearing their t shirt. This is just pure Southern Rock, all the way. Ain't nothing wrong with that. You can take the boy out of Georgia, but you can't take Georgia out of the band Chris. He needs to get on his knees and thank Georgia as well.

Sweet. When Chris comes in at the end, he belts it. And his words seem to take on a new meaning.

Loved hear/seeing Jackie Greene! And Rich Robinson...love his unpretentious style and the beautiful inlay he's got at that magical 12th fret. Peace through passion.
