    I must give u a thumbs up .. thank u . My cassava pon came out supper delicious and( perfect if I can say that).
    I didnt use pumpkin but after looking at your video as the 2nd option I noticed u used baking powder and ginger which the 1st option video didn't use has ingredients. So much thanks for this Caribbean flavor 😋
    My first try at this and im loving it thanks to ur easy recipe steps

    Hi, Spice 😊. I love pone , I love your kitchen, the color theme you use is gorgeous. I am a huuuuuge fan and love and enjoy all your videos immensely. I do catering for wedding and all functions , so you know I love cooking and baking. I put sweet potatoes in mine . Why did you leave it out ? I will like you to give me a tip why ? Sometimes I leave the pumpkin out sometimes just to experiment. I know the pumkin gives it that moistened gooey texture. Great Recipe love and fabulous video .     Hmmmm!!!! in my home in Guyana the nostalgia of creole food like cassava is was always a conversation piece. Definitely different especially the extra creaming and baking powder...hey TO-MA-TOE ....TO-MAY-TOE lol.....

    Never added butter to my pone, also never press out the liquid because it going to get back wet an I prefer grated and not blended the consistency come out differently

      You can either use the liquids or leave the liquids in if you want cassava porridge but this is pone.

    Never heard of salt and black pepper in pone before

      Yes lystra a pinch to bring out the sweetness but in the old days wasn't black pepper it was put a crushed hot pepper and a table spoon of water and use the pepper water to give it a kick and we never put pumpkin in casava pone or regular milk we grate the coconut put water in it and squeeze out the water and use that for the liquid I don't follow these modern day Cooks

    I 💕 pone soooo much! Its quite different seeing u add milk and not coconut milk and squeeze out that liquid. Hmmm. I still want piece tho

    This looks dry traditional pone has more liquid in it. The Naparima cook book has a great recipe that's moist and tastes similar to old time days

      I have been making pone since was about 9 yrs old .My great grandmother was my coach and I never see her put carnation milk nor baking powder in her pone.I do it all the time without the added improvision that person do now and I have perfect pone all the time.

    I don't know why you squeezing the juice out when the pone is baking and done that juice will absorbed in the pone .Its a simple receipt.

      Yes. The original pone made by the long time people had ginger coconut sweetpotato spices blackpepper pumpkin cassava raisins sugar and butter. No milk was used

    Arlene I just had to come check you out when I was looking at pone recipes because I know that you would have a different flare that I would like and true to form you did putting it in cupcake pan is such a nice touch it's perfect, small individual portion control for me.       The original recipe for pone comes with black pepper over the years it has been omitted because a lot of people don't like it their pone, just as macaroni pie isn't made with eggs anymore

    You need to use the juices from the vegetables and omit the evaporated milk and it is pepper mash in a little water it ain't have no ginger and no mixing with no electricity blender get the cassava or potato pone ain't got no pumpkin in it only corn pone to moisten the corn stop that nonsense

      It's 2018 and she's younger so I don't expect the very old school methods. There are many different (sometimes easier) ways to get the same results.
