Thanks for the videos. I just passed my last project where I had to use exos in order to build a network. Your videos were what gave me the break through I needed. I now have my bachelor's degree cause of you
That it awesome. Thank you for the comment. Glad they have been helpful.
I am currently doing the same for my degree. WGU?
Hello. First of all, we are grateful for the information you have given us about the Extreme switch along with these videos. But there is an image quality problem in this video. I am currently working with Exos switches and I would like your support to improve the image quality of this video, which contains important information for me. Thanks again iNetworkToday
well crap you are right... i will try to make another one and get this fixed. thank you for noticing it.
Hi Brother !! How can i know the exact SFP Port number to assign vlan on it. it says port 46,47,48 It is also the same for Ethernet port 46,47,48. Also what is the difference between port 1:23 and port 23 in extreem switch configuration?
Some Extreme switches share the copper port and the SFP port... usually they will have a line over top of both of them so you know that they share the same config.... What we have done is cover up the copper port (47-48) with labeler tape if we are using the SFP ports 47-48.... that way we know we cant use them..... as for the "1:23".... if you have a single device not in a stack the port will just be "23".... however if you have them set up in a stack configuration then it will be 1:23 or 2:23..... We would usually just set all of our switches up as stacked switches so our configs would be the same across the board.
480p cant see the commands on the screen
Cisco guy here may have to work on extreme routers and switches.
How much different and whats the extreme command line like?
it is pretty different, i have always extreme CLI is more of how humans talk where is Cisco is more layered. It will take you prob a month to get familiar with the commands but if you know cisco you should be able to figure out the extreme stuff fairly easy.
@@ConfigItAll ty sir Cisco ccie here from way back. I just refuse to do it if it's like juniper free bsd crap command structure
@@jerimahjohnson8698 we are moving forward from the cli to the easy gui like meraki right. i feel like going into the 80s
The worde isnot Red b/c very tin worde
very informative but the video quality is very bad
guy nned more training, wates to much type with syntax or order, plues, recordered at least in 1080P, 480 P was very hard to see. Other than that, it's ok job. Keep worrking at it, and thank you.
Is anyone even still using Extreme switches in 2024?
