Thank you Jesus for dying for my sins. I’m still trusting in you even though I’m struggling putting groceries in the refrigerator, and paying bills. I lost my job because I declined the vaccine. I declined because of my pre existing health condition (Lupus) and Heart disease. I was denied my medical/religious exemption from Forsyth Hospital. My husband passed away three years ago, Im all alone. I’m a single mother. Both of my sons are autistic and non verbal. Every month is a struggle, a battle to not end up on the streets. I’m so depressed and embarrassed by my situation. I post my story all over to spread awareness of what mandates are doing, not just to myself but to many other families. I’ve been put down and mocked because of my circumstances it truly hurts me. BUT even after all these things. I STILL HAVE FAITH GOD WILL PROVIDE. He has sent strangers to help me. I’m forever grateful! EVEN as I face homelessness seemly every month with two young children. I have faith our Heavenly Father will provide. Thank you Jesus.

Absolutely it is. Ephesians 2:8-9, the "saved by grace through faith" is the gift of God. Jesus is the author and finisher of our faith (Hebrews 12:2). Philippians 1:29, faith is given. Repentance is given/granted by God (Acts 5:13, 11:18, 2 Timothy 2:25). In fact, no sinful person in their sinful flesh will repent and believe in their own ability because they are carnal and not only do they only mind carnal things, but they have a mind that is hostile against God and isn't subject to the law of God so they can never please God (Romans 8:5-8). It is through the gospel proclamation that God uses as means to grant faith to the sinner, that is the reason we are sent to them to proclaim it so that they may hear it (Romans 10:14-17).

If you’re reading this, I need prayer badly. I believed I was a Christian for 4 years. Over that time I kept going back to the same sin over and over. I thought I was saved and I was struggling, man was I wrong. I stumble upon Paul Washer, John Piper, etc. Boldly preaching that God saves a man, not a decision or a prayer. And I was so confused because I had heard pray a prayer all my life. Long story short I’m coming to understand something of this saving faith. I realized that I have never been a Christian and I never truly loved God or had saving faith in him. I still go back to this same sin. There’s no conviction, desire to read the word, or desire to try and love others. I’ve been praying for God to save me for 6-7 months now in the morning before my day gets busy. I’ve heard nothing from God. I feel like I’m Esau and I’m too far to find repentance. I’m just hoping that’s not the case. Please pray that God saves me. This all feels hopeless.

EPHESIANS 2:8 the word for "faith" in greek, as well as in english, is NOT a VERB, but as a noun it is referred to the means of grace "THROUGH faith" that's "a GIFT of God" but it's not referred to the action of BELIEVING; because that verb is not here.
But, in 1:13 in greek, as well as in english, both words "heard" and "BELIEVED " ARE verbs, activated by the subject "YE" who make the action of those verbs.
So; God's predestination by his own absolute will and grace(v.4-14) was to save those who believed "the gospel of salvation" sent by God, and are placed "IN Him" "IN Christ"(v.13) by the seal with the Holy Spirit. But
Paul DOESN'T say 'God MADE you believe' , He actually says: " after...
    YE believed".
    The same in Romans 9:
God in his own absolute "election"
    v. 11-16) HE chose to justify by the means "of faith" and not by "works", that's Paul's conclusion of what he has said so far v. 30-33(that's why in v. 11 he put God' s election in opposition to "works", but not in opposition to faith) so that we may receive "GOD'S righteousness" (10:3), and HIS "righteousness which is of faith SPEAKETH on THIS WISE" (v.6)..."the word of faith WE PREACH"(v.8) says: "if THOU confess...and BELIEVE...saved"(v.9), Not BEFORE Believing, and not if YOU don't believe,. This is God's election to save that PAUL and the other apostles preached. And he DOESN'T say: 'God will MAKE you believe' or 'God will believe FOR you' without YOU Believing. That's why it's for "all that call upon Him with "no difference" v12-13(2:11)(3:22-23) (11:32).
So; when we believe God's way to save, we honor God's absolute election, predestination.
THE SAME in 4:3 "Abraham believed God ....for righteousness" (Abraham made the action of the verb "believed") and Abraham's faith for "jusftification" is a pattern for all of us v. 9-25. for "all nations" Gal.3:6-9.

Gift of repentance? Not in scripture. Faith as a gift of the Holy Spirit is gifted post baptism in the Holy Spirit. Faith is so remarkable because as in Abraham it comes from the inner man and is infrequently found in mankind. Jesus often remonstrated people for not having faith or believing. Yet in continued pleading, faith was forthcoming. The gospels are replete with such instances. The Reformed theology leaves us to a sanitized notion of faith. The thief on the cross did not have a sanitized faith. After his abuse of Jesus, eventually pled for salvation not a sanitized faith at all. That was also an instance of manifest repentance.

DID CALVIN TEACH REGENERATION PROCEEDING FAITH? Not according to John Calvin's own Institutes. In Book III, chapter 3, Neither does scripture. we find the following opening text that makes it very clear that regeneration follows from faith. After presenting this, I will show from the same text that Calvin equated "regeneration" with repentance..
(see Calvin in John. 1:13). For since pardon and forgiveness are offered by the preaching of the Gospel, in order that the sinner, delivered from the tyranny of Satan, the yoke of sin, and the miserable bondage of iniquity, may pass into the kingdom of God, it is certain that no man can embrace the grace of the Gospel without retaking himself from the errors of his former life into the right path, and making it his whole study to practice repentance. Those who think that repentance precedes faith instead of flowing from, or being produced by it, as the fruit by the tree, have never understood its nature, and are moved to adopt that view on very insufficient grounds.
This seems clear enough so we proceed now to Calvin's treatment of regeneration.
By repentance I understand regeneration (spiritual regeneration) , the only aim of which is to form in us anew the image of God, which was sullied, and all but effaced by the transgression of Adam. So the Apostle teaches when he says, "We all with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, as by the Spirit of the Lord." Again, "Be renewed in the spirit of your minds" and "put ye on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness." Again, "Put ye on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him. Accordingly through the blessing of Christ we are renewed by that regeneration into the righteousness of God from which we had fallen through Adam, the Lord being pleased in this manner to restore the integrity of all whom he appoints to the inheritance of life. God assigns repentance as the goal towards which they must keep running during the whole course of their lives.
I strongly recommend that interested persons actually attend to Calvin's writings rather than assume they know what he taught.
Justification is a work of God the Father and the Holy Spirit in us and without us. Justification and faith do not have a sequence in time but in order Faith- Justification but are simultaneously in time. Sanctification is a work of The Holy Spirit in us but not without us. Justification and SANCTIFICATION cannot be separated. There is no sanctification without justification or justification without sanctification, this even when sanctification is just a begin of regeneration through all our life. Faith is by Grace and the free gift of God. The Bible teaches us the Justification of the UNGODLY. [Made/ declared Righteous] God The Father the Judge does not say: not guilty He says GUILTY But then point to Christ Not a believer is justified nor one that chooses justification.
This does not leave any room for salvation other than by the Conviction of the Holy Spirit of our lost state without Christ as being the first in Salvation of men. It is true what was said of old: “ Who Works First We Know Last.”
There is a general working of the Holy Spirit in the hearing of the Word that convicts and precedes faith but not always leads to salvation. See the parable of the sower.
This is how Calvin preached the Gospel
FREE OFFER OF THE GOSPEL (Calvin's Wisdom p119-120)
He calls all men to himself, without a single exception, and gives Christ to all, that we may be illumined by him. When we pray, we ought, according to the rule of charity, to include all. God invites all indiscriminately to salvation through the Gospel, BUT THE INGRATITUDE OF THE WORLD IS THE REASON why this grace, which is equally offered to all, is enjoyed by few.

Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. Rom 10:7. Their is no Jesus in TULIP. Our Heavenly Father commissioned Jesus to come to earth and pay our sin debt. Calvinism is not the gospel and like all cults, minimizes the finished work of Jesus Christ for the sins for all who put their trust in Him. Calvinism blames God for people not becoming saved, when the Scripture clearly states that is the work of the devil. 2 Cor. 4:4 The god of this world has blinded the minds of unbelievers so they cannot see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.

The idea that calvinism blames God for people not becoming saved is a misunderstanding. I thought so too for a long time. But thats not actually what calvinism says.
In calvinism man is wholly responsible for his unbelief. Man willingly doesnt want to belief and willingly rejects Christ. In fact all man do. There is no one who camr to faith by himself. You didnt, i didnt, no one does. By nature we all want to live our own way and be our own god. We are all wretched sinners. Its only by Gods intervening grace that we get our heart of stone removed and get a heart of flesh instead that is pleased to serve him and believe him.
Its Gods work. Not ours. You and i have nothing to boast in. The glory is Gods alone. All who get lost get lost because of themselves. Not because of God. They sin by their own will. They sin by their own desire. They dont believe by their own will. You cant blame God for that and Calvinism deffinitely doenst blame God for that

@@menknurlan tulip does not teach free will. It eliminates Christ and focuses on Gods sovereignty. John 12:32 Jesus days “when I am lifted up from the earth I will draw everyone to myself” everyone has free will to accept or reject. Reread your comment, you eliminate Christ the Savior of the World that God sent. Calvinism explains away the words of Jesus over and over John 3:16. “Whosoever believes in Him” I do not need to try to convince you here of Calvinism heresy, the Holy Ghost wants you out of that teaching way more than I do.

      @menknurlan 2 года назад +3

@@womanatthewell9603 again you misunderstand calvinism conpletely. Tulip does not deny free will. Calvinism does not deny John 3:16.
No calvinist on earth denies that anyone who believes and put their faith in Jesus will be saved.
But the fact of reality is that NO ONE, not a single person, will do that. No one will out of their own free will believe and choose God. The bible couldnt be more clear about it. Man hates God. Man does not want to serve God and believe God.
You are not better than an unbeliever that you believe. Neither are you smarter or wiser than the unbeliever that you believe. You have nothing to boast in for your belief. It's God who drew you to himself. Its God who gave you faith by his grace.
The main reason arminians reject calvinism is because of their own pride. Their pride in their supposed smarter choice to accept christ.
But its foolish pride. No one seeks after God by their own doing. Its God who seeks us. Its Christ who came to seek those that were lost.

@@menknurlan sorry I am going to disagree. Their is varying degrees of Calvinism. It is a highly argumentative and debatable doctrine even among it’s adherents. Some are 5 point some are 3, but either way it is a doctrine of man that says only if you are elected will you come to Christ. Jesus said “When I be lifted up I will draw ALL men to me”. After the cross, Jesus draws everyone to himself. Calvinism is basically saying man is robotic in nature and irresistible to the call of God. That grace is irresistible for the “elect”. It denies free will. They believe they were chosen before the creation of the world. So if God choose you then why did you fall out of heaven and send you down to earth just to see if you would receive Him, do you see how ridiculous that theology is? Just because you are not a Calvinist does not automatically make you an Armenian, full or pride or smarter. It means you recognize your need for the Savior and say yes to the gift. Unfortunately man loves sin, not everyone says yes and that is why they do not come to Christ because the god of this world. To blanket say man hates God isn’t necessarily true. We are created in Gods image with the capacity to love, hate, create, destroy and all the other attributes and characteristics bestowed to mankind by our creator. I don’t expect to convince you here on RUclips to believe otherwise, and honestly the Holy Ghost wants you out of calvinism way more than I do.
