Again, Dr. White is correct. The Septuagint is used with the Masoretic text by the ESV in producing their translation. I believe the ESV has a superior OT product than other bibles.

I thought the ESV used the USB5 and the ECM, which is critical text, and I don't think much of the septuagint. Same as the Nasb and Lsb, which use the NA27/28 and ECM. Also, I thought, for the OT (All 3) used the critical text dead seas scrolls, other text found in some of the recent discovered manuscripts of the 19th century. They all 3 may use a little masoretic text, but I'm pretty sure even the ESV is not strictly masoretic text and septuagint. Do your research on that. That's what my research told me. If I'm wrong, please tell me, but if I'm right, I just wanted to inform you.

If Bart Ehrman does not know that “Day of preparation” means “Friday” I will be stunned. If he is a leading critic on New Testament manuscripts/scriptures and doesn’t know this: I WILL BE APPALLED. If he does know this and continues to use this as grounds for contradiction in the gospels, that is incredible.

That's why I say these shows are sinful and more blasphemous than some anime. At least you know animation/DC/Marvel is fake. They try to pass religious movies and shows about biblical subjects as fact, when all in all, you can't recreate these things as fact. These actors and actress are creating something fake that push emotional responses that weren't built on truth. In front of green screens and cgi, props and it's heresy

Anyone know good resources from White or others dealing specifically with the inspiration of Paul's writings?

Ecclesiastes 3:15: “That which is, already has been; that which is to be, already has been; and God seeks what has been driven away.” The “natural man” cannot grasp that, for to him reality is based only on the evidence of the senses. The man of reason could justify the verse’s end, saying if it has any meaning then the writer must mean recurrence. The sun comes every day and the moon completes its cycle and the seasons come and go. If we took a picture of the universe today, the scientists can compute how long it will take to return to this point in the picture. So the intellectual man could justify the verse; but that is not what is meant, for it is addressed not to the man of reason or the man of sense, but to the man of Imagination. What is it all about? “That which is, already has been; that which is to be, already has been, and God seeks what has been driven away.”

With all due respect, and I believe that God is sovereign over his creation and plans everything that comes to pass, but the context of Ecclesiastes seems to make it clear it's talking about recurrence. The idea of "nothing new under the sun"

For goodness sake Jesus could speak Greek. Plenty of people could speak Greek in those days. He obviously also spoke in Aramaic. How did he speak to Pilate? The words we have in the Gospels are the words of Jesus. All interpretations of the OT were given to them by Jesus. The disciples weren't that smart.
