I was going to buy one of these for my Hyundai i30 2012. But I have a pixel 8 pro with Spotify, YT music and Amazon. 2 of those I have via mobile deals.
I have great Bluetooth in the car and a phone holder. Once I have the phone connected I can say Alexa which works on Amazon music and Alexa app. Or say Hey Google play such and such on Spotify or Amazon etc. I can also ask the weather or any questions. My son who is autistic can also have his phone connected at the same time and he will ask a million questions when I am driving. This video and thanks for making it. Has made me realise that I don't need to spend £29.99 as it's on Christmas sale.
The good thing is if I am on a phone call, I switch car on and it will come over the speakers. And I can continue without having any issues. The Hyundai I can say is a great system. The Citroen C4 picasso I had before was the same. So no point in wasting money.

Fantastic review! You thought of stuff I wouldn't have thought to ask like what happens if the car is off.
Here is my concern. Say you have a smart watch connected to your phone and then you crank the car up. Usually my phone connects to my car. I'm afraid it will not automatically connect to my Echo Auto and/or I will probably lose the connect to my smart watch. Any thoughts? (I assume most bluetooth devices can only have 2 connections at once.)

Yeah I can't talk about cars. I have a Corsa. lol. I hate it. The plus side with the hardwire kit is it cuts power if your battery gets too low to start the car.

Amazing how happy people are to have their car tracked by a company. Amazon snuck it in on what is supposed to a device for wireless calls and playing music. It makes little sense too since you'll be in your car connected to it 99% of the time it's tracking.

most of the faults you have described are human eras or car shortcomings like not powering down every car I have owned including my latest car powering down the USB and power socket and being on the phone before you get in and while you get in it won't connect of course it won't any system won't until your call has finished so it won't auto connect unless you turn off your car or Bluetooth that's common knowledge not the fault of the unit again its the user don't be on a call when entering your vehicle or expect to reconect its not rocket science I am not particularly a alexa fan but I do own a few and use them regularly and mine was going mental while you were connecting it phoned my dad no problem you must of had an old number a while back and not deleted it again it's not the fault of the unit if you search properly I bet you will find a number you entered a good time ago or put in a wrong number but did not delete it just making a new one that's very common I have done it and I think most people have done the same at one time its just humans we all make mistakes and forget we did it I swore blind it wasn't me until my wife had a video of me doing it or else I would not of believed her lol I will buy one as I have always wanted alexa in my car as I have a vauxhall mokka ultimate electric it does have voice control but its crap its over complicated and mostly dials the wrong number it would be gould to be able to use the on board buttons on the steering wheel but in reality that's a tall order itwould be nice if amazon could write a piece of software to use these buttons and take over the onboard speech controls maybe one day .
