"Ten paces" At this moment, both Clover and Starlo started walking in different directions. However, having no idea of why should he play this scenario, Clover turns around early and raises his gun, preparing to shoot down the so-called sheriff. "Starlo! Wait!" Ceroba jumps in front of Clover, taking the deadly shot in the body. Shocked by such turn of events, Starlo catches his friend, and she falls in his hands. "Ceroba... No..." "Starlo... Bro imagine if the Patient soul was the one to come across the Wild East, like what are chances that the Cowboy character comes across the guy who really REALLY *REALLY* likes cowboys
Oh man, imagine how much it would take for the patient kid to lose their patience during the genocide route, like one enemy or boss is mocking them so much to the point where they finally snap and start slicing them viciously with their toy knife like a savage, thus giving into violence, it would be cathartic but also scary as this is what happens when a nice person is pushed to their absolute limit.
Yes, it would be funny that the patient soul, the light blue one who doesn't have anything to do with western would go in the western part instead of the justice and yellow one.
Justice is literally Clover's soul trait. Of course a spaghetti western would have all these heroic leitmotifs in it. What usually ends in justice paid to a bad guy? A showdown of course! Except this is a little different.
nah nothing changes in pacifist i dont think, and in genocide starlo (spoilers)@@Stimpaec doesnt have the guts to kills you and shoots you with a bb gun and dies, then you fight ceroba
this song legit has two leitmotifs starlo's motif, and "justice" that's it, the other melodies aren't exactly leitmotifs they only appear for this one song a mother's love meanwhile is laughing in having 8 leitmotifs (but then again that one is three tracks combined into one so)
My favorite part of the entire game was the wild east. I loved every single character on that village, and stars' shenanigans always made me giggle. The whole deal with ceroba and the feisty five also, man that section was good.
@now_i_know_whats_a_handle i feel as if he'd play engie normally to keep with his cowboy theme and just sucks ass at playing engie, but once in a while he switches to soldier and mops the floor with everyone
the new "soul modes" like this fight's lasso and axis' trash can lid were super creative and awesome... but they also served to make the eventual moment that i'd been waiting for the whole game, the yellow soul's shooting mechanic coming back in ceroba's fight, THAT MUCH MORE HYPE
And the ABOMINATION's and Zenith Martlet's. You get the pew pew (plus the [[BIG SHOT]] from Deltarune) on any route's final fight (Asgore doesn't count because you can't win)
I really hoped that Starlo (And the Feisty Five) would be a bigger threat in Genocide... instead of Ceroba AGAIN. Like, we already got the big moment for Ceroba, it tied up her story arc and she was the conclusion of the entire True Pacifist route. But in Genocide, she just attacks you because... angry. It doesn't tie anything up, it's not a conclusion to anything, and it's just "One of the Genocide bossfights". It would make a whole lotta sense if Ceroba's Genocide fight to be replaced with either just Starlo or just the entire Feisty Five. Starlo is this game's Undyne basically, has a normal battle in Pacifist, and... oh wait, he doesn't have the heroic and sort-of story related battle in Genocide. Starlo could maybe Dual-Wield guns, and the other 4 could switch in often and team-up to fight you with noticeably harder attacks (And the clumsy and cute member of the Five wouldn't stumble when running to fight you, lol). It would just be so many times better
@@justusP9101 I still feel like her story fit in Pacifist, and I like her also. I just feel like she's getting TOO much attention with having a big epic fight in Genocide rather than keeping her epic fight in Pacifst.
Starlo is a nerd who larps as a sheriff, ofc he wouldnt be an obstacle to a seasoned killer. The only other person in the area i could imagine being secretly powerful is ace and maybe ed to a lesser extent
whoever has the idea to make the 3 notes from cowboy movies an actual theme/leitmotif of a character is so genius, whoever actually compose this song is also very good at the execution because I haven't think before that those 3 notes could even be a battle music and not just cool winds anticipation thing
I love how from 1:31 - 1:42 , this section feels off, and out of place, almost like it shows Star’s true feelings about the battle - He doesn’t want to do it, but feels like he has to, which is why this part is so wobbly and different. It could also show his mental wellbeing’s deterioration, as at this point he’s convinced himself that CLOVER is the problem, CLOVER is the one that ruined his life, not himself. This part of the song paired with Starlo’s betrayed, teary-eyed-look really shows a different side of the story to what we plainly see. Amazing!!
What I like about this theme is how it near-perfectly contrasts Martlet's battle theme, prior. Martlet's battle theme sounds WAY more serious than the battle itself. But here, the theme sounds WAY more lighthearted while the battle itself IS serious.
@@spencerhaveman4117 yeah… someone on the other video, said the same thing for Cerobi, almost word for word. It’s… ugh. If it WAS someone else, I’m convinced they copied them.
The perfect music for the silliest sheriff. This area had an incredible set of characters, introduced us to the main plot and also had THE GOAT of this town.
1:30 Just realizing this part sounds quite alot like Ceroba's song Blossom. Think this really shows how deeply Starlo appreciates Ceroba playing along with his silly antics.
Killing Axis to fail a Pacifist run makes Ceroba comment on Clover's SOUL not being pure any more. Ceroba won't join you even after a single kill in the Dark Ruins, so she probably recognizes how much EXP Clover has. So if you kill Starlo here, and she seems to not realize what happened to him... she probably recognizes that SOMETHING changed about Clover.
She's more preoccupied on finding where starlo went to continue her plan. It's actual pretty sweet that she drops her whole plan to find his only friend.
The boss fights are the standout features of Undertale Yellow. Each theme and mechanic is tailor made to fit their boss monster so perfectly that they single-handedly elevate my love of the characters more than anything else in the game. This composition is a masterwork in musical storytelling, painting a picture of the fight with each instrument as its brushstrokes. I imagine each crack of the whip, a reminder of the lasso binding you. Each crash of the cymbals, a shot he's making on your life. The waver midway through, his conviction loosening its grip on him. He momentarily lets his unwillingness to inflict pain on this child he called deputy slip out. Then, immediately, we're back to an energetic beat as he is reminded everything he's fighting for and and the joy it'll bring him when this mess is taken care of. Undertale Yellow tells the story of characters seeking justice for the wrongs committed against them and hoping that someone brings them to justice for the sins on their backs. This fight and its theme sells Starlo's conviction when he's at rock bottom. He's not using rubber bullets anymore, his fingers twitch the entire way through as he itches for his six shooter. He's eager to eliminate what he has erroneously deemed a problem: the human that he thinks drove him to his lowest low. Showdown! is far and away my favorite boss fight theme in the entire soundtrack because it sells the justice this otherwise goofy guy playing hero is looking for: a misaligned justice that will fix who he is now and bring him back to a past that only holds pangs of nostalgia. I cannot express my respect for MasterSwordRemix and this incredible composition enough.
If I had $1 for every time a monster wanted too kill us for their own problems and stuff, I wouldn’t have to make a nickel joke to get at least one like on this comment.
i think North Star(Starlo) is the best character in game. When they first introduced feisty five thought they are gonna beat the /*-s out of me and was a just normal boss fight but then then North Star started introducing Clover to town and became so friendly nah that guy is my favorite character ın Undertale Yellow. Also writing is too good. Starlo is so friendly but also realistic. When we abort Pacifist run he is not like: "well you beat my years old friendship and friend. You turned 'em to dust. But idc! You my bestie now!" He actually acts like a person. Also he is a bit like Sans that everbody loves. He just wants some fun and friendship. And a new partner

at first i didnt like this song that much because it didnt seem to fit the mood, but i lost so many times here the song is basically stuck in my head now, and ive realized this is perfect in every way, starlo is playing a character even during the fight, sure he may have realized the character hes putting up is very flawed and people have noticed that, yet hes still playing his little sheriff game even when trying to deal with a real issue, so lost in his facade he fails to recognize hes the problem and accept his mistakes god i love this character so much
Having the song start on a whip is one of the most unique things to happen in an Undertale boss battle theme. Hats off (and then back on because we're battling!)
I like the Game Over leitmotif that just goes around at 1:09 Really nice touch, as they’re both justice filled, like how Asgore plays the game over Theme in Undertale. Surprised barely anyone talked about that.
(spoilers) I felt soo bad killing him in neutral, just because of how sudden it was. no buildup, no signs of being hurt, he just dies. and then what followed after: the missing poster, the cutscene in his (parent's?) home, I couldn't even honor his wish and actually tell his parents. it's so well done but it hits so hard. 10/10 would not do again lol
something kind of underrated that i noticed is that undertale yellow ost is kind of consistently LONGER! than most undertale songs that go up to a min, its a minor thing but it makes so good songs dont repetitive even when you love them (i still love undertale songs btw it was just a nitpick)
if i had a nickel for every insecure yellow lizard with simpson ass hair i've seen i'd have two nickels, which isn't much but you know how this joke ends

I was hoping that Starlo would be the genocide boss since he's actually not really a slouch at fighting at all...
someone has other plans hehe
the feisty five should've had a bigger role in genocide imo. i love ceroba but those guys are awesome, i want them to kick my teeth in
@@clawcakes2i think both should have had fights but the most fitting place to have it would be feisty five and then ceroba,so two really hard boss fights back to back, which sounds like hell

Imagine if Starlo was like Undyne on the path of genocide. It would be a battle between a merciless hero and a true hero.
"Ten paces"
At this moment, both Clover and Starlo started walking in different directions. However, having no idea of why should he play this scenario, Clover turns around early and raises his gun, preparing to shoot down the so-called sheriff.
"Starlo! Wait!"
Ceroba jumps in front of Clover, taking the deadly shot in the body. Shocked by such turn of events, Starlo catches his friend, and she falls in his hands.
"Ceroba... No..."
"Starlo... I knew you would confront the human... I knew, you would be stubborn enough..."
"It's all my fault... It's all my fault, it's because of my recklessness, and my selfishness you are wounded!"
"It's not your fault... Don't worry about me..."
"..."
"Do what is right... For everyone... Please... Go and..."
Ceroba dies, while turning into dust.
"It... Can't be..."
Starlo stands up, broken and concerned.
"Do... What's right?"
He raises his head, looking and Clover.
"Whoever you are, partner - an outlaw, a mass murderer, or even something worse. I'll do what's right, and stop you right here. Just stand... STILL!"

1:10 the justice motif is a really nice touch
Justice is literally Clover's soul trait. Of course a spaghetti western would have all these heroic leitmotifs in it. What usually ends in justice paid to a bad guy? A showdown of course! Except this is a little different.

the new "soul modes" like this fight's lasso and axis' trash can lid were super creative and awesome... but they also served to make the eventual moment that i'd been waiting for the whole game, the yellow soul's shooting mechanic coming back in ceroba's fight, THAT MUCH MORE HYPE

I agree, Starlo and the feisty five didnt get much screen time in the game
I agree, i am starting to hate her and her crybaby backstory
@@justusP9101 I still feel like her story fit in Pacifist, and I like her also. I just feel like she's getting TOO much attention with having a big epic fight in Genocide rather than keeping her epic fight in Pacifst.
Starlo is a nerd who larps as a sheriff, ofc he wouldnt be an obstacle to a seasoned killer. The only other person in the area i could imagine being secretly powerful is ace and maybe ed to a lesser extent
a two phase fight where phase one you fight the feisty four and phase two you fight starlo wouldve been so cool........
whoever has the idea to make the 3 notes from cowboy movies an actual theme/leitmotif of a character is so genius, whoever actually compose this song is also very good at the execution because I haven't think before that those 3 notes could even be a battle music and not just cool winds anticipation thing
Which notes are those?
I love how from 1:31 - 1:42 , this section feels off, and out of place, almost like it shows Star’s true feelings about the battle - He doesn’t want to do it, but feels like he has to, which is why this part is so wobbly and different. It could also show his mental wellbeing’s deterioration, as at this point he’s convinced himself that CLOVER is the problem, CLOVER is the one that ruined his life, not himself. This part of the song paired with Starlo’s betrayed, teary-eyed-look really shows a different side of the story to what we plainly see. Amazing!!
I learned the song on the piano because of that part hahahaa
What I like about this theme is how it near-perfectly contrasts Martlet's battle theme, prior.
Martlet's battle theme sounds WAY more serious than the battle itself. But here, the theme sounds WAY more lighthearted while the battle itself IS serious.
Song that might play when you have a dual
I loved this fight, good gimmick and overall challenging
Just beat him and now he's my new favourite fanon Undertake character. Not the hero the Wild East wanted, but the one it deserved. Love this guy.

"Human, Red Dead Redemption."
"Micah, i remember you're ratting"
Human i remember you're red dead redemption.......
I love the break at 0:35. I had this play during the attacks where time slows down, and I was thrown for a loop.
I like the riff at 0:40 even more.
