For context for those of you who don't know and are reading this, a lot of other comments have said this already: in Buddhism, there are three poisons keeping people within samsara: desire, embodied by a rooster; anger, embodied by a snake; and ignorance, embodied by a pig. His ignorance isn't lack of knowledge, it's lack of action to achieve anything. He sees the world for what it is ("A world governed by the ignorant", "A garden of lies") and knows he is likely the only one who knows this ("Encounter with the boar who might know it all"). But his song never mentions him doing anything. He just sits and watches.
