I love how in sync the squid sisters are compared to the other idols. It's probably because the choreography is their whole thing.. but I like to imagine its also partly how experienced they are.
I have a feeling they heavily rely on choreography in order to dance given that their attempts at freestyle is just waving and bouncing around. This seems even more apparent when you look at all of the tricolor performances.

Marina's giddy little hops and fan-girl type reactions to Pearl are my personal faves. That lil moment around 4:57 where she comes critically close to breaking choreography and hugging Pearl is such a fun touch!
Imagine hearing this as an encore performance for the next Splatoon concert. All the idols would all stand on a big platform decorated with Squid Sisters, Off the Hook and Deep Cut stickers as well as Splatfest stickers from Splatoon 1, Splatoon 2, and Splatoon 3. The big platform would be inspired by Deep Cut's floats during Splatfests. And of course, all the idols will interact with the audience.

I love how Callie and Marie are basically the only ones who are synchronized every single time they danced. It shows how the older idols value highly choreographed performances while the other groups do it a little more freestyle. It really suits all of them 🩷💚 I love the Squid Sisters’ dances
watching all these grandfest videos has made me realize that deep cut have more smooth/detailed lipsyncing and i haven’t been able to stop paying attention to it. i wonder why that is!

one thing i noticed (and i could totally be wrong) is that the idols are glowing/blinking in a number of spots that match their debut game. - squid sisters have glowing skirts (1) - pearl has glowing boots and hair while marina has glowing fingers and hair (2) - frye and shiver both have glowing boots, fingers, and hair while big man's head piece that glows is generally separated into three main sections (3)! there's so many cute small details to this performance... i love it so much💛
