I think this is a sign that we’ll get a live concert performance with all the idols. Because for grand fest, they reused the live concert choreography and song versions, so this could be teasing a new one

My theory is that this song was meant to appear in a live concert, but got cut. They can’t have him performing Liquid Sunshine with the Squid Sisters since he’d be on another stage with Shiver and Frye, thus the gap 💔

i love how all splatoon choreography with the idols, even if theyre the same moves, is a little bit different between the two characters and off-sync, it makes it look so real.

Him and the Squid Sisters could perform while Off the Hook and Shiver and Frye do Suffer no Fools (although that would leave one stage empty), and could transition to Big Betrayal afterwards. Other multi-group performances I've thought about are Deep Cut and the Squid Sisters doing Calamari Inkantation 3Mix while Off the Hook and Acht perform Spectrum Obligato!
