This thing is too good and too cheap for us
@@m.al-h9108 I think they care if they get out of a car and their business associates think they are having financial problems because they are driving around in their eyes, a Hyundai.
I have been in auto industry for over 15 years. I know every brand out there. History, value and workman ship are all essential to make a great car. Genesis is by far one of the highest quality at a fair price. You get a lot for the money and still save on average $50k for G90. I hope to own late model G90. I have older Genesis and it's one of the best vehicles I have ever own. I have own BMW and Mercedes. They good cars too however dollar for dollar Genesis has them all beat. Especially for having the least mechanical issues. Go Genesis!!
least mechanical issues? Idk about that, they def need to work on their reliability. Esp on kia/ hyundai side. I can only imagine what issues this car is going to have after a few years.
@@MikeyG003 : Yeah, Porsche and Audi got too much reliability issues too,, especially on VW side. /s

never seen forged carbon as interior trim like that. usually looks cheap. here it looks sporty, natural, metallic, woody, etc. amazing material.
Craftsmanship on this is incredible. Lots of bang for the buck
I think it still looks cheap and dirty

Look at that interior 😳 that's impeccable
They didn't point out how there is almost no gloss black.
The Capri Blue is an amazing shade of dark blue on this car. If you see that color on the configurator or in pics on Google (or another RUclipsr's review), it looks stunning
14:16 shots like this are one of the many reasons I love this channel. An interesting car rolling through Ontario hills against the fall colours with Yuri and Jakubs voice overlay; perfect cozy breakfast vibe

Aren't you the horse from horsing around?
Having just returned from a super-comfortable road trip with four people in a friend's last-gen G90, I would say the only weakness was the lack of automatic level control for the rear suspension, which sagged noticeably under the weight. As this now has air springs in back, they've fixed even that. The rational controls alone would have me choosing this over the German brands.
I LOVE the look of the forged carbon. Such a good design decision. Can't wait for that to trickle down in... 100 years?
That's likely cheaper and easier to make than the traditional weave, actually. Why would it take that long?
@@MatteoFitness because economy cars are still majority plastic
This reminds me of the time when I saw Yuri rolling through Hamilton in a Cullinan. He was taking selfies out the window when he crashed into a mailbox at 3 KPH. He got out of the car - tears streaming down his face - punched my granny in the eye and screamed like a banshee.

@A CC damn, "it's ugly"? i think this car has a very futuristic design, it's almost like it comes from cyberpunk with that thin led line lights. its only my opinion though. I'm not hating on your opinion
its a cheap copy of mercedes and bmw, that is all it is.

Love about these Korean companies like Hyundai and Kia are decorating the interior more towards European car style and alienating the brands from the competing Japanese markets. Way to go Hyundai/Genesis!
Ive said Genesis is what Lexus should be in the design department.
@@underway1000 Lexus' interiors and tech are so yester year tho. Imitating BMW and Mercedes isn't all bad considering some don't even count Lexus as a luxury brand.
@@jedi7158 Well, Lexus has always been old school, and alot of people like that. Plus, I feel as though the people who don't consider Lexus a luxury brand are in the minority.
I would never buy a Korean car. Japanese competitors are still all number one in every category. 🙏🏽

This is the 4th review I'm watching on this car. I'm a Genesis fanboy, okay!?😂😂
"You closed it like a sucker!" Haha! Thanks for the video guys. I am surprisingly impressed by that car! Needs mo power!
IMO if we look back to the Hyundai XG350 and the Azera, Hyundai has been working to get here. Overall beautiful vehicle
Yes! Was waiting for this review!
Could you all ever talk about sound systems in your videos and how they rank potentially? 😁
They talked about a Benz S class’ sound system before and said they were extremely interested impressed
They won't in a serious manner.
Audio is so subjective (but also objective) though, and anytime anyone ever tries to give a detailed critique of a sound system they get harassed by thousands of "experts". It's probably not worth their time and I don't blame them for focusing on other things.
If we mention that it’s good, it’s usually really good. If we don’t mention it, it’s just ok
@@TheStraightPipes so if you say sound system is ok. Then it is really bad?
I was waiting for this lets gooo genesis!!!
Chauffers dont necessarily live with their clients, unless they do more than simply drive them around. But My friend has a driver: They live in NYC, the car is kept in a garage. The driver is on a schedule and picks up the car and takes the client where ever the need to go. They drop of the client to the hamptons and take the car with them back to NYC and leave it in the garage. When it's long trips and out town, the client pays for the driver's hotel. etc.
Honestly, Genesis has really upped their game in a relatively short period of time. This is pretty dope. The forged carbon is on fire... I wish some of the Germans would implement that material in a similar way.
They won't because it looks like fake marble and you know it's fake. It looks like an Australian blue healer got ran over.
@@MacNifty Yeah Gerries rather prefer cheap piano plastics and still take huge amount of money for that. Excellent defence of crappy style sir!
This all started with an Equus Ultimate. I have a 2012 example of this, this is my Red Barchetta.
y'all are going crazy with them thumbnails and im all for it 😂
Unless I'm mistaken but, I believe Genesis is the first to do button close doors without needing to hold down the button like in RR or Bentley, which tbh how tf did no one think of it before. Again, might be wrong.
You may be right, I know they're at least the first to use the foot pedal to close the doors
Thanks for going back to 30FPS, looks better on videos that aren't gaming for sure!
Great Review...Super Solid as you shall✌
I fell for the stinger design concept...and now am driving one!! Wish I needed a luxurious Uber sedan!! Thx guys!
The new S classes are “hideous”? 😂 I fully agree, they look like big Volkswagens. You can see that Genesis are upping their game impressively, but just not quite there yet with the 7 series and S classes. Looks like that day will be coming soon though.
Fk all that ......I rather pick the G90 over a Mercedes
I like the last gen more in some ways. It looked classic with angles. Reminded me of RR a bit. This isn't bad though. It kind of resembles Bugatti in the front, but I like RR more.
Its such a blast to take it through the curvy mountain roads!
What a beautiful beast! Does what its competitors do in its own class/category and in most or a lot of cases, it does a lot more. It does all this greatness for $15,000 to $25,000 cheaper too. All with a stout and reliable 3.3L, almost 400 HP, V6 Twin Turbo with an 8 speed automatic AWD transmission. What is even more amazing is that Hyundai/Genesis offers a 10 year or 160,000 km (100 K Miles) warranty still on this thing and might even come with complimentary oil changes or something I forget and could be very wrong about that.
Anyway....
Haters will still manage to find something to pick and hate on lol.
lol. Bro do you work at the PR department at Hyundai?
@@majicogarcia8417 No, not at all. Just not a brand snob cause it's deemed expensive lol.

So, my family has chauffeurs - how they work is this: we have a storage place where the cars are kept, cleaned and whatnot and the chauffeurs/body guards drive there in the morning and then drive the chauffeured car to us. We also have our own cars we drive ourselves in our home garage

Proper limo look, not as sporty the the previous models. Yes, c-pillar looks good and glass is flushed. Great looking car, fits the role.
Shout out to Raz from "Remove Before Race" whom taught me this tidbit of knowledge. The C-Pillar design Jacob likes so much has a distinctive name: "The Hofmeister Kink." It is named for Wilhelm Hofmeister, who was BMW's design chief from 1955 to 1970, though it appeared on other-brand cars made before Hofmeister's tenure at BMW. Either way, he gets the credit and it is still widely used today.
Image a coupe version of the G90. That would be one of the hottest cars ever.
Pretty much like the old Acura Legend
You’re the only car reviews I enjoy besides Douglas.
Thank you. Doug is the GOAT
Genesis is killing it!!!
That intro song was dope. Sounds like Surfaces
Great video
I need them to make a 2 door, 2 seat coup.
I really like this car and Genesis but they currently don't make anything I'd be willing to buy.
Genesis is now what I loved of Cadillac in the past!
Having worked in adjacent to what you would call a chauffeur, in my experience the driver would either be dispatched from a separate office (the car would be held at that office and the driver would drive to the clients home) or they would be dropped off by a shuttle car. Please realize that there is a whole world of company cars and private security that would be in charge of the care and upkeep of the fleet. Many clients would have their own vehicles (often not very flashy cars, a lot of Tesla's) that they would drive when not working. The clients work fleet would pick them up, drive them to where they needed to be and then bring them home at night. This service would be tied into security service. So while many C suite executives would have drivers that exclusively drove for them; a lot of non C would have a pool of drivers and a pool of cars that they would be driven in. Also this car would not be purchased by these fleets not because of any reason other than the expectation of the fleet consisting of other brands.
I was waiting to see what today's video would be.
As you mentioned everything is good except for the head lights which was better when it was lined matching the rear lights. Also I suppose the price should be moderated a little bit.thanks to Genesis.
The color combo is fire but if it was all black and that interior omg
8:15 hear that “pop”? Amidst an evasive maneuver at high speed the G90 can actually lock the transfer case in both the front AND the rear, so you have positive traction to all four wheels. However, if it’s done under a heavy load or a slide it can make that "clunk" as you heard but it is completely natural and normal.
I love watching the new genesis reviews. It’s exciting to see someone new doing luxury and all the interior bits. So here in Charlottesvilles we love our bikes. My chauffeur arrives to work on her busted a$$ Diamondback, and yes leaving chain grease on the entry to my chicken coop. Then she gets to experience the glory of my twin seat Schwinn, as she pedals me to and fro town.
Lol…”closed it like a sucker”. Sweet ride!
@9:23 they live in the same plot of land but usually in an independent / separated house/s by the cars/garage. At least that’s how Our home or most of the people I know do it. (After a few years they sort of become family friends if it works out well.)
Now it's time for a car upgrade😉
Awesome looking car.. well done
This car has an aura very much like the bentley flying spur.
Finally someone mentions the wheels. Thank God these guys aren't obsessed with wiper stalk origin story. Hyundai/Kia are winning the wheel design game ... establishing the Korean Automotive identity as easily distinguishable among Asian manufacturers. Would love to see a roadster from them.
This G90 is like in the audio system!
Lol y’all getting crazy with that photo shop!
I use to take the train into Manhattan to drive until I could afford to move to a nice area in queens where there were no subways so I would drive my bmw (no oil stains lol) to the parking garage and swap cars or if we went to their homes in CT or the Hamptons I would leave it in the driveway. My roommate was given a range rover sport to take home and would use that for everyday use and would switch out to their Bentley when needed. The guy I drive for used a phantom as an everyday driver.
That forged carbon looks amazing!
Is Yuri spinning those amazing beats on the opener?
Awesome car, thanks
I don’t have a chauffeur but I did private security for several years. All the chauffeurs I’ve seen arrived to the property in their own vehicle. The valet would bring up the car, the chauffeur waited for owners to come down and off they went.
Gorgeous car. 😍
What if you need to close the doors very fast like escaping from a car jacking?
OMG the deflation is going to be terrifying on this
Pretty surprised how quiet the car is, the sound is so well muted almost feels like they recorded voice track separately in a studio.
If you have chauffeur, at least in NYC, they come to your building after retaining the car from the garage and the doorman calls you down to the lobby. The car is waiting with the back door opened.
How did they get to the parking garage
@@TheStraightPipes probably an Uber or a 96 Corolla that leaks oil.
@@TheStraightPipes they get there however they can. My in-laws live outside the city and they'll drive their Bentley into the city (because they love driving the car), but once in the city, they'll have a driver meet them somewhere. We'll pull up to the agreed meeting spot, he'll get into the driver's seat and take over while we do whatever we are going to do for the day/night. Whenever we're at a store or a show or a restaurant, he takes the car somewhere and hangs out. Waits for us to be done.
Once we are completely done, we drop him off. The one we use hops onto the subway and heads home. So, it's sort of like a chauffeur, but just for the day. And it's usually the same guy.
We also use a lot of driver services where the driver comes and picks you up in their (the company's) car. Usually for trips to/from airports or other situations that may not have an immediate return home. Basically a glorified taxi.
Had the chance to see one up close in a genesis pop up shop (yeah, they do that somehow). The moment you open a door to look inside you definitely feel the chauffeur vibe. Beautiful car. I'd rather get a baseline c8 corvette around this price though 😏
Edit:wtf the hood opening with the fenders. That looks cool!

I find it weird that some reviews don't have those, but you can also buy them from a third party for any car, they were like $40. Genesis seems to have added them as standard in some countries for this year's model.
