Halaand gave up doing runs because the team don’t pass into those spaces. He always cuts a frustrated figure because of how long the City midfielders hold on to the ball. I saw Marmoush signaling a few times for the ball to be played over, but he will soon learn as well that this City side doesnt play the ball through as often as they should. Our football is really boring at this stage, too slow, too predictable, not threatening enough for most sides with good defences. We need to play a faster tika taka, and for our wingers to take on defenders more often instead of turning back all the time.

    • @andikak706

De Bruyne and Rodri are the key of pep's system. He brings the ball from the back and gives it to KDB, and KDB will deliver it to the striker or winger.
Now man city is so exposed, they are so weak in midfield.

    • @genahsyde9841
      @genahsyde9841 6 дней назад +2

City needs to start playing first time passes into their attackers and the wingers need to play first time crosses into Haaland when he’s running into the box, they don’t need to run to by line everytime to make a lackluster cross with 2-3 defenders covering Haaland by then or making a back pass and then city has try and carve out a goal with most of the opposition defending their boss, Haaland is great running onto the ball and his finishing is world class, but he’s to big for the type of close tight space game city wants to play honestly

Pep doesn't allow creativity in this side. I don't blame haaland honestly. Why make those runs that get ignored constantly.
Pep doesn't like chaos and wants complete control.
Teams are figuring out the counter to pep and he doesn't have an answer.

When he first went to City, opposition teams didn't know how to handle their system which was why his numbers were so good, but now most of the league have figured out how to neutralise him and he's not half as effective. Yes, he still scores regularly, but he's not scoring as many as in previous seasons, and is second to Salah at the moment. Isak, Wood and Palmer will overtake him by the end of the season at this rate.

@@mitchrapp5214 So what? Havertz is one of the most versatile, complete strikers in world football that's why top managers in world football love him like Nagelsmann Arteta etc.Havertz was never a killer like Haaland and will never be one. Therefore he is a playminger, winger and striker in one player. Lack of quality my ass. Havertz has in one toe more talent than Carragher has in his whole body.
And everybody who played football understand this kind of situation when you have too much time to think especially when you are in the situation has he was.
Talking then about a lack of quality is bullshit same as Haaland doesn't make the runs anymore. Haaland is doing that what his manager tells him to do simple as that.

During the first seasons at City, Pep's possession style play worked fine , Haaland often got the ball and had some room in the box, so he could score
This obviously does not work anymore, the whole team gets inside the box , and completly covers Haaland and leaves him NO room, while City does 40 passes back and forth (instead of countering as fast as possible, like basically ALL other teams)
This is SO obvious, still PEP insists on using the SAME EXACT tactic MATCH AFTER MATCH AFTER MATCH
Do you people not see this???
They have SO many chances to counter, and have the BEST counter striker in the world, YET; they DO NOT COUNTER!!
They stop at the 16, do passes untill the whole opposing team is inside the box and can defend, EVERY SINGLE TIME!!!
An 8 year old should be able to realize this, it is starting to look like intentional sabotage at this point

Haaland is literally the most consistent player in that city side, give him the ball in the right area and 9/10 it ends up in the back of the net,
