When the Colonel turns and says "A good death is it's own reward" and pitches the plane down in to the Kryptonian ship - it is one of the most badass death scenes in movie history.
@@1515cci Did they help explain the whole "WHY DID YOU SAY THAT NAME??!!!!!" exchange? Because it still makes me cringe to death and it makes no sense why Clark Kent would call his mother by her first name. The only explanation I can think of is Clark, in his capacity as a reporter, researched Bruce Wayne and what happened to his parents. And even that barely excuses it.
See the thing with the Kryptonians appearing "stronger" than him is due to the fact that all his life he basically just relied on his powers to fight, but they didn't have powers on Krypton, they learned fighting skills, so his raw power and reflexes weren't quite on par with their training plus powers
Yes, just like Faora said to Kal-El while battling him, he had morals, something that those last Kryptonians who were invading the planet didn’t have. Supes never really wanted to hurt anyone, just to help people.
extended edition was a waste " let's push a woman on a subway just to get an "R" rating"..if Luthorcorp was running the Arctic dig the last movie would make sense a tiny bit...
I always loved that line Lois had; "The only way you could disappear completely is if you stopped helping people and I sense that's not an option for you."
Lois finding out his secret so soon implies everyone could and easily, Snyder never cared for the secret or dual identity, even in his cut Daily Planet announced Clark dead in BvS, Perry + Jenny attended his funeral but Snyder had Cavill wear daily planet clothes for the shirt rip in his cut without explaining how 'human' Daily Planet Clark returned from the dead
cheesy and in front of Perry who saw her kissing Superman in the ashes of dead people earlier died while terraforming was happening, then hey there's this guy Clark Kent applies to work at the Daily Planet assumingly no experience...
@@generalzod2479 I’m sure employees call it “The Planet”. And if Perry was such a great editor/publisher, he’d be just as good as any of his reporters in realizing Clark and Supes are the same guy. 🙄

@@smdias65 in a sense, yes. But poor execution. Very poor. I'd have much prefer a different incident. Especially when he already risk exposing himself as a kid. Oh well...
I really find if funny how NO ONE ever understands the Jonathan death scene. CLEARLY Jonathan wants to keep Clark's powers secret. That's why he told Clark NOT to get near the tornado. Too many people would see what he did and their lives would become utterly destroyed by the media. That's what a Father would and SHOULD do to protect his family. By proclaiming it to be "stupid because Clark has super powers" that literally shits all over Jonathan's sacrifice.
You obviously don't understand superman lol he is too fast for people to see and could have easily saved jon and there was a tornado happening lol too much going on to focus on seeing clark use his super speed to save his dad
@@JES408 Right and Jonathan being right in front of the tornado and then blink and he's there safe; that's something YOU would just brush off?? also everyone LOOKING at the tornado and Jonathan and suddenly he's gone from view and then HEY here he is right next to me?? And also Superman is my favorite hero and has been since I was a small child and yes I understand him better than you and yes I understand superheroes more than you obviously since you reasons make no sense lol learn a thing or two before saying nonsense lol I forgive you for putting nonsense out here
@@patrickcromwell7554 It’s still dumb. Comicbook Clark Kent has an unnatural tendency to do the right thing precisely because he’s not human. The real Superman would speedrun the tornado and not give af about the media. Hell, the consequences of revealing himself could’ve been a clever plot-point all on its own. But Snyder’s Superman was written to be conflicted with humanity. That’s fine in concept as it’s been the backbone of many great Superman comics. But Snyder did bunk with it. He actually doubled down and wanted to make an Injustice Superman. Sorry, you actually need to manifest a Superman to do Injustice. Snyder never made it that far.
@@JES408 Dude, grow up first. Learn about how powers have an affect on the environment and the people in it. If my reasons are beyond you, then ask yourself why. Going too fast for people to see would kill Jonathan because he's NOT a Kryptonian. HIS body can't handle that speed and force. And what do you expect Clark to do save his father and leave everyone else there to possibly be in the tornado's path?? You do NOT understand Superman if you think THAT'S something he'd do. Things like physics and gravity apply bro. They aren't just random concepts that you can throw away just because Superman himself does.
Light years are distance, not time. He hasn't been 300 years on Earth but 33 years. It has been 33 years since Krypton was destroyed pretty much. Even Zod says he has been working on stuff for that sme amount of time until they got the stress beacon from Superman. And that wasn't New York. That was Metropolis x)
6:06 Henry Cavill is far from the first person to play Superman. Superman movies go as far back as the 1940s. There were 4 big movies in series from the late 70s to early 80s, a couple of very popular TV series during the 90s and 00s. And a movie that flopped in 2006. He did do a great job of it though, and was one of the few good things in the DCEU.
Batman v. Superman: Dawn Of Justice is one of the greatest films in existence imo. The reason you heard that the movie is bad is because there was a push for the movie to be a failure because of the media super-inflating the opinion of a minority of audiences. What really happened-and not many people are aware of it, is that WB did not host a premiere for all the critics and celebrities, which meant they had to wait and watch it in theaters with us peasants, and they did NOT like that. Thus, they decided to review bomb the film into oblivion-some even laid out their plans of doing it and listed that very same reason for doing it on twitter before deleting the tweets (of course). And then there were two more groups that acted as supporters for their cause, albeit unbeknownst to them-the sheeple who held critics as authority figures and wanted to be hip and trendy, and the minority of people who had a valid criticism not to appreciate everything about the film who in turn felt validated by the bad reviews and went out of their way to defend said critics, celebrities, and sheeple, and THAT's what created the perfect storm! I gotta admit, their revenge on having to watch the film with us peasants worked! BUT-not everything was lost! Some sheeple and some people who didn't appreciate the film at first realized years later how good the film actually was, while others have not given this film a second chance to this day! Anyways, you should watch the film and make your own opinion though-again, a minority of people will not appreciate the movie, and you could be one of them, but at least give it a chance: the Ultimate Edition, that is, and NOT the theatrical version. A lot of the people who didn't appreciate it on theaters immediately loved the film simply by watching the Ultimate Edition, so I recommend that you watch that one!
Wow, I didn't know that that was what happened, but now it totally makes sense! And I agree with you. I watched both the theatrical and the ultimate edition.
there were few things i didnt like. how doomsday was created , it was different than comics. that also doomsday being slower than batman. superman saying to lois that no one stays good in this world was like implying he lost his hope and was going to do something bad. i also didnt like that batman was manipulated so easily
MANY previous versions of Zodd depict him as just power hungry and irrationally evil just because superman NEEDS an equal. If this was back in the early 80's then when Jor el refused to join, Zodd would have just killed him on the spot. But here we see that even though they were on different sides, Zodd still showed Jor El respect (professionally at least).
That's keeping with his new "I must preserve our civilization at all costs" genetic programming. The Counsel really was worse than him in this one, refusing to let anyone leave or even speak out about their impending doom.
80's? 1978, Reeve still the best live action Superman, played him with grace and a kind heart unlike Cavill who was made by Snyder to play the darkest live action Superman with a jerk face 90% of the time
@@generalzod2479 reeves superman was horrible. that superman manipulated lois, erased her memories without her consent, killed depowered kryptonians and laughted about it despite his fathers warning , he tried to change time which is very dangerous. he beat human unnecessarily . as a kind , run just next to train full of people looking at him. there are like 2 dozen things wrong about reeves superman.
They are allkryptonians, so they are all roughly at the same power level, the difference is Clark Kent (Kal El) had more time than the rest getting used to those powers and how to control them, which is no easy task.
The Batman V Superman had originally bad reviews for some story issue, in the ultimate edition fixed a lot of those problems and it's much better. I liked it anyway, c'mon it's Batman and Superman, so. And you are right, I prefer so much more the realistic darker approach of DC. Marvel needs to do something because their movies are becoming light comedies with a splash of action.
Well it didn't fix 'Human' Clark Kent dying then coming back to work in the Snyder cut wearing Daily Planet clothes while doing a shirt rip, with zero explanation how Clark returned to work after Daily Planet announced his death and Perry & Jennt attended his funeral in BvS
The movie that really set the standard for the superhero/comic book genre was *Superman: The Movie* (1978). Watch that origin story and compare it to this one.
the only reason it's considered non canon is because WB insisted that it isn't. Even though Zack Snyder set up the entire universe. Snyder directed Man of Steel; Dawn of Justice AND Justice League. WB had actually actively tried to cancell the Snyder-cut repeatedly, but eventually failed. that's why the Snyder-cut took so long to come out. It wasn't because he made a different move, it was because WB didn't WANT his version to be seen by fans. Because it would diminish Whedon's Justice League and it WOULD affect sales of the movie; Given the choice now, 95% of people will have Snyder's Justice League in their collection INSTEAD of Whedon's. If the Snyder-cut had been released months after Wehdon's version, NO ONE would have bothered to buy it.
@@kpj9535 Who's ignoring it. I already posted that he pulled out of the project due to personal family reasons. I just didn't feel the need give exact details that aren't necessary.
Snyder cut was released and still Snyder fans were entitled and toxic wanting more, still spamming moronic hashtags, That cut release was clearly the end of Snyder directing the characters ever again, DCEU is over, Snyderverse included, Warner Bros have rebooted with a man who actually reads comics, James Gunn, DC moves on, change happens in life, sometimes out of your control, sadly you have Snyder fans who are toxic on social media towards everything thats not Snyderverse, Warner Bros own the characters not snyder
@@generalzod2479you're wrong. Snyder's fans want more movies and WB are idiots who want the studio to break and be purchased by Universal. James Gunn is a stupid director who only follows the Marvel formula and that is what destroyed the DCEU. Zack Snyder does read comic books and has made a better adaptation of the DC characters. He deserves to finish his version of the JL movies.
I loved that Lois was the only one who figured out Clark's identity. It was a running joke in almost all of the retellings that Lois had to have been the dumbest reporter on the planet for not figuring out Superman's real identity.

No it isn't, there's a famous Superman quote from the comics where Superman says "There's always a way" he can move in a millisecond, could have moved that family out of the way easily, Snyder just wanted to break no kill rule to put Superman in a dark story arc

When Henry Cavil was a child, he was playing soccer when Russel Crowe was in town. He took the opportunity to talk to Russel about acting. Many years later, they were acting in this movie. It was a few weeks before he approached Russel and reminded him about the conversation, years before. Not believing it was him (Cavil's childhood nickname was Fat Cavil), he asked what he had told him. Cavil replied, something like, you said they pay you pretty well but treat you like shit. Russel then knew it was him.
He saved us: “Not really, look around you.” You’re not the only main character that thinks the same as you. Wait until you watch Zach Snyder’s DAWN OF JUSTICE.
Hey, Blue. I really liked this movie a whole lot. I thought it was fantastic, intense, and thrilling. The action sequences are exciting, the visual effects are impressive, the music score is epic, and the cast are so good in the roles, namely Henry Cavill and Amy Adams. The character of Superman is slightly interesting. It is so different, and fans of the comics were rejecting because it's a far departure from the other incarnations, particularly the original films, but I like this type of Superman. He had a rough time in his life, and as a kid he was scared and struggles how to use his powers. But when he learns to find out who he is and where does he comes from, he now becomes a hero with kind and hopeful, and the protector of the Earth. It's a really good, entertaining, summer blockbuster movie, about a man who is struggling for what it means to be human and more than human, and trying to do the right thing. I understand everyone still didn't like it, and didn't want to agree with me, but in my own opinion, it's a fun film. A enthusiastic marginal thumbs up for me on "Man of Steel". Man of Steel (2013) 3.5/4 👍👍👍
Good explanation, amigo and I agree with everything you said. I enjoyed watching this film at the cinema,it didn't do the numbers the studio wanted tho, but,I thought it was a-GREAT-movie.
Not exactly. "Psychosematic Reconditioning" is having their entire brains remapped and reprogrammed. Against their will by the way. so that in 300 cycles when the re-emerge, the'll be obedient and more docile.
Part of why Jor-el and Lara don't go is because they were born in the genetic loom and they were made to do one task. They know it limits them and they are part of Krypton. So they stay.
In this Snyder's Krypton mythology, the "S" symbolise one of many Kryptonian lineage of their respective ancestral family bloodline. The S stand for the House of El....Faora's F like symbol is House of Ul, Zods symbol is the House of Zod. Jor El's wife Lara however is from the the House of Van....even though you see her dress having the S, because just like humans after marriage she carried her husband's family title. You can look up in Man of Steel symbol archives to see what Van symbol & many others looks like....and also the concept behind its Kryptonian writing systems (which you see briefly in their liquid Geo displays).
Also to add a few more MoS details.... The scout ship Kal found belonged to Kara Zor El aka Supergirl. In Snyderverse however she was already an adult way before the Kal's birth or the Zods civil war on Krypton. She was part of the Great Expansion space mission. There is a comic planel that explains the events that led to her crash landing on Antarctica. What happened to her after is a unresolved mystery.
Superman: The Movie (1978), and Superman II (there was also a Superman III and IV, but we don't talk about Bruno). Christopher Reeve WAS Superman for many decades to everyone. He was tragically paralyzed in a horse riding accident and lived out the rest of his life in a wheelchair until he passed in the mid 00's. But he did get to play a role in the Smallville TV show shortly before that. Cavill carried on the mantle so well, but if you want to see the epitome of the purity of the role, it's Reeve. You'll love him too. It's impossible not to. And he didn't need to be idiotically ripped to do it.
Well no he wasn't. Seeing as he started in 1978 and barely finished the 80's it wasn't even a full decade. Dean Cain was Superman in the 90's and Tommy Welling in the 2000's. At most Reeve was Superman FOR AT LEAST a decade. "Many decades" is a massive over exaggeration.

Christopher Reeves played Superman in 4 movies decades ago. The first 2 are worth watching. Brandon Routh played that same Superman in a more recent movie.
It’s funny to me I’ve been reading comic book stories for decades. I watched people for a long time criticize and belittled them as if the stories weren’t good or childish. For the last decade, and a half due to the movies being made on these characters and stories, they becoming more prevalent in the mainstream. I remember when a girl would roll her eyes, and not even entertain, watching one of these movies with you. they would prefer to watch some chick film and yet in this reaction this young lady said it’s the most romantic thing she’s ever seen. Makes me laugh.
Time is actually NOT a factor with the aging in this movie. Space is EXTREMELY VAST, Trixy. Technically speaking, the event happening here on Krypton are happening when humanity on Earth are still hunting for food and building huts out os straw leaves and branches. it happened MANY thousands of years ago (possible close to about 10 or even 20 thousand years ago) Kryptonian technology folds space itself making a journey that should take millennia happen in the blink of an eye. This Space folding essentially creates wormholes where travel is accelerated WAY beyond the speed of light. So what would have been days for baby Kal El would have been thousands and thousands of years on Earth.
Funny how you said its like wolverine when he was holding up the oil rig since henry calvil has a cameo as him in the deadpool and wolverine movie that people refer to as the Calverine
This is a quick non-spoilery guide through this universe : 1- Man of Steel (Chapter 1) 2 - Batman V Superman : Dawn of Justice (Chapter 2 - Ultimate edition is better) 3 - Suicide Squad (Fun Spin off, though not exceptionnal, you can skip it) 4 - Wonder Woman (Chapter 2.5 - It's an origin story, taking place during WW1, you can skip it but it is really great) 5 - Justice League (Chapter 3 - The Theatrical edition is the offical canon one, but the Snyder Cut is Way better, and prefered by almost everyone. It's 4 hours though) 6 - Aquaman (Chapter 3.5 - An Origin story, not necessary but still great) 7 - Shazam (Spin Off. It's Fun, but not necessary to the Main Story) 8 - Birds of Prey (Again, a Spin Off. It's the following of Suicide Squad) 9 - Wonder Woman 1984 (Underappreciated movie. It has no real implication in the rest of the universe, so not necessary) 10 - The Suicide Squad (It's another spin off, and not linked to the other Suicide Squad Movie. It is far better though) 11 - Black Adam (It was supposed to be the first chapter of the next phase, but eventually did not. Do whatever you what, it's fun, but not exceptionnal) 12 - Shazam Fury of the God (Second movie of the Shazam line, like the first one, it's all up to you, it does not has conequences on the now doomed to die universe) 13 - The Flash (Chapter 4 - It's so the final nail in the DCEU. It is not great, like first Suicide Squad level) 14 - Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom (Second movie of the Aquaman saga, with no implication as it is the last movie of the DCEU. It's okay, I guess ?)
If you want to truly enjoy what was DCEU, after Man of Steel, go straight to Batman v Superman Ultimate Edition, before watching Zac Snyder's Justice League. Happy birthday, btw
I recommendo you to watch in this order Man of Steel Batman v Superman ( Ultimate Cut) Wonder Woman Zack Snyders Justice League Aquaman Shazam THE Suicide Squad Blue Beetle The Flash You can skip the rest
BvS Dawn of Justice Ultimate Edition is good, but it's a movie where the characters are in a dark period of their life, you just need to engage in the story at hand and not just expect a happy cartoony version that many might usually expect because they haven't read a variety of comics.
Just remember it's Batman v Superman: Ultimate Edition (3hrs) next followed by Suicide Squad: Extended Cut (2016), Wonder Woman (2017), Zack Snyder's Justice League (2021) and then Aquaman (2018), Shazam (2019), Birds of Prey (2020), Wonder Woman 1984 (2020), The Suicide Squad (2021), The Flash, Blue Beetle and Aquaman 2 all 2023.😊
Batman v Superman dawn of justice the original got the rotten score but the ultimate edition was much more popular. Unfortunately there is not a rotten tomato score for the ultimate edition. It's one of my favorite movies of all time.
The S stands for hope, symbolizing the Broken Eternity, the end of the period of constant warfare in Krypton's past, basicaly it's half of a inifnity symbol, (according to some continuities i believe, but it generally represents hope)
Batman is DC, which is produced by WB and HBO. The MCU is owned by Disney, who bought Fox (X-Men and Fantastic 4) while Sony has part of the Spider-Man universe (Morbius, Madame Webb, Kraven the Hunter).
Don’t about ratings on IMDb or Rotten Tomatoes when choosing which movie to watch because those are often wrong anyway. Also, studios and publicists will often pay critics for a glowing review. See a movie that interests you and form your own opinion.
They are giving Zod a motivation that Eradicator had in the comics, at least with his first humanoid appearance, quite a time before Superman's death (also in comics).
Hi. Fuck the ratings, Blue. Just watch the whole Snyder's trilogy (Man of Steel, BvS, Snyder's Justice League (2021*), Wonder Woman and Suicide Squad. You can skip the other movies after that. p.s. Agreed about parents. 😢
Nah she should watch The Suicide Squad and Peacemaker as some of those characters will be in the new DCU, which has a man who actually reads comics in charge
Arguable the BEST Superman performances are from the late Christopher Reeve (RIP) He started as Superman in 1977 and had 4 movies. Also Smallville has arguably the best ever portrayal of Lex Luthor ever on screen in the form of Michael Rosembaum. Then the rest of the 80's and the entire 90's went by and NO superman movie was ever made - though there were a few notable shows. Mostly the 90's series Lois and Clark: The new adventures of Superman. Then on October 16th 2001 Smallville aired the WB Channel which became The CW on October 18th 2006. Smallville told the story of Clark as a teenager learning to adapt to his new powers and discovering where he comes from. It ran for 10 seasons. The 2006 Superman Returns is actually NOT as terrible as people are mentioning in the comments; but because people WANTED more after waiting SO LONG for a big screen superman they felt cheated and just refused to acknowledge that the movie is pretty decent. It's NOT as Epic as THIS movie is definitely, but NOT the total cluster fuck that they complain about either. Finally a little Fun Fact: Two Previous Superman Actors Christopher Reeve & Dean Cain) guest star in Smallville at different times. Also Other Superman Cast members appear as well. Terri Hatcher (Lois in the 90's tv show), Annette O'Toole (Lana Lang in Superman 3), Helen Slater (Supergirl 1984), Margot Kidder (Lois Lane - the Superman movies), Terrance Stamp - but as a voice only (Zodd - Superman 2)

Your summary is on point on Man of Steel and the DC universe in general. I was surprised that you saw it all through. Very nice reaction Trixy. Keep it up!
It's also worth watching "Superman Returns", which is an underrated continuation of the 1978 Christopher Reeve Superman quadrilogy. Brandon Routh turns in a touching performance as Superman, and Kevin Spacey has some really funny moments as Lex Luthor. It's no Man of Steel, but it's not bad. If you do see it, try to spot Richard Branson's cameo as one of the space shuttle astronauts.
Batman the Animated series with Kevin Conroy originally aired on Fox Kids, which is now owned by Disney, so Disney technically owns the rights to that one cartoon. That's likely what she's thinking of.
Disney owns the Marvel Cinematic Universe. That's probably what she's thinking. Movies and TV shows featuring DC Comcs characters have been owned by Warner Bros for decades.
One of the first superheroes movies was Superman 1978. Check it out and many consider Christopher Reeves as the best Superman. Cavil is also good in the role.
All of these movies are currently "non-canon" (otherwise known as "elseworld stories"), however, this could change when the alternate universe connects in the new DCU, but it's unlikely. - Man Of Steel - Batman V Superman (Ultimate Edition) - Zack Snyder's Justice League [NOT 'Justice League'(2017)]
In the DCEU (this is the name of the old dc universe) the snyder version of justice league is the canon version and if you are confused with the actual situation of DC, basically, James Gunn (director of Guardians of The Galaxy and the second Suicide Squad) became the dc's boss and he decides do reboot the entire universe to reorganize the things, with the new universe begins with the new Superman movie in 2025
Christopher Reeves played the first Superman in the 80's but not long after he had a terrible accident and broke his neck while he horse riding. He passed away a while back .
I would recommend you watch the ones you wanna watch and ignore anyone who says to skip something just because they don't like it. also, never use rotten tomatoes to decide if you're gonna like something
Technically James Gunn FIRED Henry Cavill. After the abysmal performance of Black Adam Gunn decided they didn't want Cavill associated with superman in his new DC reboot. Which is extremely shocking because just before Black Adam's release WB confirmed that Cavill had just been contracted to continue as Superman. Lijke days before cinematic release he went on social media and stated that he WOULD be returning as superman and that he was looking forward to reprising his role. But Black Adam under performed and Junn fired him.
Technically Warner Bros and James Gunn didn't fire Henry Cavill or any of the others, Cavill for example signed a 4 movies deal to appear as Superman and he did: Man of Steel, Batman v Superman, Justice League and cameo in Black Adam, now had Black Adam being a success he may have been given a deal for the sequel and was likely told that but there was no contract signed, again Henry Cavill reportedly did not have a written agreement in place to return, Cavill made a mistake announcing his return as Superman without a signed contract, with Black Adam not being a huge success any plans for a sequel were scrapped, James Gunn didn't need to meet with Cavill but did so to explain a reboot is happening and he wants a younger Superman, which he's well within his right to choose to do as its a new DCU
@@generalzod2479no, you're wrong. Gunn did fire Henry Cavill because everyone at WB hates Zack Snyder. And it has nothing to do with Henry Cavill being too old to play Superman. The chiefs of WB want to crash the studio so it can be purchased by Universal. This is why James Gunn is making movies that are a box office flop. It's still not probable that he will
I think Batman and Superman are some of if not the most abundant superheroes of whom there are movies of. Most people like the old time Superman with Christopher Reeve. Idk if u'd like them since they are literally 70-80s movies so ofc the quality is great for that era not for today's standards. I personally still love watching them.
Great Reaction...... Happy Birthday Beautiful...... "Man of Steel" is one of the nicknames for Superman since his creation/debut in Action Comics in 1939...... Both the Actors that play Superman's Father (Russell Crowe & Kevin Costner) have played Robin Hood..... Henry Cavill tested the "Hide in plain sight" theory by standing in Times Square under a billboard/sign for the Superman movie and no one recognized him......
To answer your question: How is he weak compare to them?! Response: they are the soldiers of his native planet. They have the same benefice as him (except that he absorb the power of the star and sun for a longer time, so technically, more powerfull, but untrained), so they have the same benefice but with military training. And, obviously, they are the first real menace that Superman battle in is life at this point (according to the movie). 38:11 Fun Fact: In this movie, there are no New York City landmarks or buildings in the Metropolis skyline, as it was filmed in the Chicago Loop and Vancouver.
I always thought, when I was reading comics in the 90s, that Metropolis was based off of Chicago (very large Midwestern city), while Gotham is based off of NYC (much older city on the East Coast). In this continuity, they have them next to one another, which I always thought was weird.
I think I'm the only person doesn't have an extreme opinion on this movie. It was just ok; not as bad has the haters say and not a masterpiece as some people say it is.
lot of people say that Batman v Superman was bad, because the plotline wasn't canon to the comics. What they thought would happen was That it would follow along with the Dc injustice storyline. Also none of Batman is owned by Disney; Marvel is owned by Disney which includes Spider-Man, iron man, the avengers etc. Warner Bros I think owns rights to dc characters such as Superman, Batman, wonder woman, flash, aqua man , green lantern so forth. Again though Batman v Superman was rumored to be more like the injustice game but instead went the dc animated movie death of Superman
I highly recommend watching the 1978 version of Superman, which stars the late Christopher Reeve. I also recommend watching the various animated films and shows that feature Batman and his fellow heroes

Did they help explain the whole "WHY DID YOU SAY THAT NAME??!!!!!" exchange?

The idea that the "S" symbol means "hope" was introduced by Mark Waid in his "Superman: Birthright" comic series in 2003.
FYI...in the DC universe, they use fictitious city names. The city they were fighting over and through is, Metropolis. Batman fights in Gotham.
I mean... he was pretty ripped, the fabric just hid it a bit

People got brainwashed by rotten tomatoes but IMDB actually good because it based on audiences rating and not critics.
@@generalzod2479no dude, she needs to watch BVS and ZSJL because those are the good movies.
When he was so cute it distracted you haha. That was adorable.
38:12 Honey, that's not New York, that's Metropolis. Best regards 🥰😘
All the safe lame crap in one post - You cant let this old stuff go
@@papalaz4444244 And what exactly am I supposed to "let go" of exactly??? Facts and the general consensus that is widely agreed upon?? What is it you think I'm holding on to?? Nothing I posted shows any kind of attachment. They are facts. These actors DID appear in Smallville; Michael Rosenbaum IS thought of as the best Lex Luthor ever by many people. Superman returns isn't as lousy as butt hurt die hard fans want to portray it is. What exactly am I holding on to??
Please give the Star Trek franchise a chance. 🖖😌
If you do see it, try to spot Richard Branson's cameo as one of the space shuttle astronauts.
well Snyder dark Superman (more like Ultraman) makes you appreciate Superman Returns a little more
I always thought Brandon Routh did a great job in paying homage to Christopher Reeve.
Batman is not Disney, what are you talking about ? DC (which includes batman) is warner bros.
- Man Of Steel
- Batman V Superman (Ultimate Edition)
- Zack Snyder's Justice League [NOT 'Justice League'(2017)]
In the DCEU (this is the name of the old dc universe) the snyder version of justice league is the canon version and if you are confused with the actual situation of DC, basically, James Gunn (director of Guardians of The Galaxy and the second Suicide Squad) became the dc's boss and he decides do reboot the entire universe to reorganize the things, with the new universe begins with the new Superman movie in 2025
Definitely one of the best comic book movies
13:17
Funny you should say that…
When she meant, jump right in she meant um let's talk about the 10 batmans?
Christopher Reeves played the first Superman in the 80's but not long after he had a terrible accident and broke his neck while he horse riding. He passed away a while back .
I would recommend you watch the ones you wanna watch and ignore anyone who says to skip something just because they don't like it. also, never use rotten tomatoes to decide if you're gonna like something
18:40 As the last Kryptonian anything from there belongs to him …and Zod’s crew of misfits.
BvS is one of the best comic movie.
RIP Krypton.
OMG we got a guy.
Greenhorn from Krypton.
"He looks like Wolverine!"
Funny you say that, you might be in for a surprise in the next Deadpool movie, if the rumours are true 😅
I hope its true...
He still learning, and will develop is strength and is control with each enemies. :)
Man of steel , bvs and snyder cut are clearly the best dc movie of all 😅
Also can we talk about the crazy similaritys between krypton and revel moon 😅
DC peaked with Nolan and Snyder

38:11 Fun Fact: In this movie, there are no New York City landmarks or buildings in the Metropolis skyline, as it was filmed in the Chicago Loop and Vancouver.
I always thought, when I was reading comics in the 90s, that Metropolis was based off of Chicago (very large Midwestern city), while Gotham is based off of NYC (much older city on the East Coast). In this continuity, they have them next to one another, which I always thought was weird.
He is a cavillrine now🎉🎉
I think I'm the only person doesn't have an extreme opinion on this movie. It was just ok; not as bad has the haters say and not a masterpiece as some people say it is.
Once a legend said : "He can cauterize my wounds"
That's not New York. It's Metropolis...and it wasn't even filmed in New York
lot of people say that Batman v Superman was bad, because the plotline wasn't canon to the comics.
Starts with the aliens, i forgot!
I highly recommend watching the 1978 version of Superman, which stars the late Christopher Reeve. I also recommend watching the various animated films and shows that feature Batman and his fellow heroes
Very good comment at the end, I agree with you. And I also think this movie is a gift for the fans of Superman.
"The Batman" a Masterwork of Cinema...atmosphere, direction, cinematography. . . it's a Study in fine filmmaking 🎥 If you are patient and cerebral enough to appreciate the details in every scene🦇
She has to watch the other DCEU movies first.
@@saturninhabitant I agree with You...good point
48:53 Now, He is Alone, the last Kryptonian.
I wonder if Superman started showing his powers at the age of 30
Really love your hair color at this length ❤
Batman Vs Superman extended version is fking awesome, and Zachs justice league is Imo the best comic movie aside from 300
I’m sure someone pointed out that it was not NYC but the fictional city of Metropolis which was very much based on NYC.
Love the part where John consider Clark let kids die
The "S" is not a letter, but his family's symbol, which means Hope.
Well here it’s an “S” how about… Su-
Excuse me.
AVOID JUSTICE LEAGUE FROM 2017.
Or watch it but only AFTER Zack's.
But honestly, not worth it.
