I’m not gonna lie, when I first saw that neck break scene I hated it, but the more you really think about it this is a really bold choice, because ultimately it lets Zod win. It plays to a young and inexperienced Clark and how he knows his actions will have huge ramifications. Point being, it’s a catalyst now for why he will never ever take another life. The fact that he had to do it to one of his own people. One of the last remaining Kryptonians. At that moment, he not only chooses to be human, but he makes the ultimate sacrifice for humanity.
Lots of symbolism. But honestly I was traumatized from the movie, because I remember watching the first half but the second half I couldn’t remember. And still this movie made me cry 😭
Christopher Reeve‘s superman killed Zod in Superman 2 and Lois Lane killed Fiora and the other big guy killed him self by jumping off the ledge thinking he could fly
Superman dosnt have a problem killing. It was that it was the last of his people that he finally found. And they killed hundreds of not thousands in there fight in the city. That's something Clark wouldn't do. He would have lead him away from the city. The whole ending was crap. Great movie till then.

And this wasn't his first day he'd been saving people his whole life. The movie shows that. That's why he asked Batman why he brought doomsday back to the city. He cares about innocent lives.
Yeah, and people like you are the reason we had to fight like hell to get the Snyder Cut, and we'll never get Justice League 2 and 3. Nobody wanted a complex superhero movie because they wanted dumbed down Marvel movies. Now that everybody is bored with all of Marvel's cheesy bullshit, everybody comes back praising Snyder's movies.
I love this movie so much, not only does it have some of the most incredible action sequences I’ve ever seen on film, but also a very well done story, with an appropriate serious tone and a sense of realism that grounds it and the characters.
Fun Fact- the Krypton scene was planned to have Jor, Lara, Zod & others speak Kryptonian language developed by a linguist Christine Shreyer. The idea was scrapped but the written language was used in backgrounds of some scenes... especially in their Liquid Geo display systems. The Superman symbol is one of several other symbols of Kryptonian family bloodline, hence why Zod's symbol & Faora's symbol look different but kept the House of El symbol as close to the letter "S" as possible.
I really liked your reaction to this masterpiece of a movie, and I also liked how you caught the purpose of the Codex in its first scene without any exposition, even me being a massive fan of this movie couldn't figure that out, so kudos to you. Waiting for another masterpiece to the Snyderverse which is BvS The Ultimate Edition. Make sure to watch *only* the ultimate edition of the movie.

This movie was ahead of it’s time. At that time superhero movies were about funny one liners and batling enemies that wanted to be rich or just hated the superheros. This movie put you in the middle of what would actually happen if gods among men battle for end of the world implications. Wish she would have included Flight 1.0 in her review which to this day gives me chills. The score and music by Hanz Zimmer is the best of any superhero movie before or after it. This movie is a Masterpiece and those who didn’t like it because of the destruction can go watch Avengets I where it’s the same destruction but edited so you don’t see all the.casualties

It has one flaw in the movie and that is they cast Diane Lane as Martha Kent, Makes me feel old because I was grown up and watched her in the movie Six Pack as a teenager.

Nice reaction - I actually thought a story like this could take up 2 films, because we see how isolated Kal is and they could play up more what it would mean for him to encounter others like himself - I guess that's a compliment, since the story premise here is so rich it leaves us wanting more - I think Snyder may be the best filmmaker for this kind of spectacular action - IMO at the end Zod's intention was to commit suicide - he was in hell now, cut off from his only purpose - and he was too powerful to die, so he goaded Kal into releasing him

28:39 I haven't actually seen this whole movie, but this is the part where I think it really became not a real Superman story. As soon as Superman saw that transmission, he would go meet with the President and explain that he is not a threat and that he's going to save the Earth from his fellow Kryptonians. In fact, he would already have met with the President, as soon as he spoke to holographic Jor-El and mastered his powers. They 're making it a dark story, and Superman is NOT a dark character. The proper Superman movies are Superman the Movie from 1978 and its sequels, including Superman Returns. I hope the upcoming Black Superman movie shows Superman as a good guy again, and uses the classic theme from 1978! 🙂 And, Reembok is still so beautiful! 😍

well its not just the glasses either, no one would suspect superman working a normal job. Superman and Clark have different hair, Clark's is curly and to the left, Superman's is straight and to the right, makes their face shape look completely different so Clark's face looks rounder than Superman's. The glasses distract from the eyes so even if you see Superman up close you wouldnt be able to tell that theyre the same people (compared to the hundreds and thousands of people on the earth anyway)
Those people didn't die at the end when superman killed zod they ran away ....superman didn't wanna kill zod but had no choice that's why he yelled after breaking his neck.
Please, be sure to watch the ultimate cut of Batman V Superman. You can watch Wonder Woman right after it, maybe even Suicide Squad and then 4 hours movie Zack Snyder's Justice League. Please, be sure not to watch the 2 hours version called Justice League, cause it's terrible hot mess of a movie, destroyed by greedy producers and Joss Whedon - but I don't think it's fair to blame him for the whole situation. He didn't have a time to re-do the film into 2 hours funny comedy, since the material was already made and not intended to be the 2 hours comedy.
This was definitely better than the Christopher reeves versions back in the day, although the 1 Reeves movie with Nuclear man as the bad guy still holds up today and I always thought was the one villain of Superman that was physically capable of defeating Superman just as much as Zod

Pulled up the video as it's not a common movie seen in the reactions arena.. But I couldn't stay that long.. Why is it that some reactors seem to think it's a good idea to be constantly running at the mouth thru the entire movie, Guessing and second guessing everything that flashes across the screen.?? Try WATCHING the movie a bit to get those questions, that your mouth just can't shut for, answered and THEN maybe comment on them.. I've seen a lot of reactors and frankly the best ones don't try to analyze every damn thing thru a movie or think that they are smarter than the authors themselves by making these running predictions of what will come or why anything is happening, and though they DO React to the films throughout, they do not just run at the mouth for the sake of running at the mouth, their reactions are genuine and honest in their expressions and comments, and THAT is what makes a good reactor..

If you're watching these movies for the first time, make sure to not ruin your appreciation of them by watching their theatrical versions. Watch Batman v. Superman Ultimate Edition and Zack Snyder's Justice League after this one. You can watch Suicide Squad 2016 but know there's a better version than fans wanna see and that is generally called amongst us fans "The Ayer cut". Hopefully we'll see it some day. You can always watch the theatrical versions of BvS and Justice League 2017 to compare but after those ones.
I actually really liked batman v superman and so liked the longer ultimate version even better. It's hard to give advice about the Justice League movie. With it being made by two completely different directors it literary became Frankin Movie. The Snyder cut justice league movie is good but it is soooooo longer. You either need to put aside an entire day or watch over several days

well its not just the glasses either, no one would suspect superman working a normal job. Superman and Clark have different hair, Clark's is curly and to the left, Superman's is straight and to the right, makes their face shape look completely different so Clark's face looks rounder than Superman's. The glasses distract from the eyes so even if you see Superman up close you wouldnt be able to tell that theyre the same people (compared to the hundreds and thousands of people on the earth anyway)
Include "Wonder Woman" between Batman vs Superman and Justice League... It's quite good. You'll LOVE it. :)

Please, be sure to watch the ultimate cut of Batman V Superman. You can watch Wonder Woman right after it, maybe even Suicide Squad and then 4 hours movie Zack Snyder's Justice League. Please, be sure not to watch the 2 hours version called Justice League, cause it's terrible hot mess of a movie, destroyed by greedy producers and Joss Whedon - but I don't think it's fair to blame him for the whole situation. He didn't have a time to re-do the film into 2 hours funny comedy, since the material was already made and not intended to be the 2 hours comedy.
This was definitely better than the Christopher reeves versions back in the day, although the 1 Reeves movie with Nuclear man as the bad guy still holds up today and I always thought was the one villain of Superman that was physically capable of defeating Superman just as much as Zod

Pulled up the video as it's not a common movie seen in the reactions arena.. But I couldn't stay that long.. Why is it that some reactors seem to think it's a good idea to be constantly running at the mouth thru the entire movie, Guessing and second guessing everything that flashes across the screen.?? Try WATCHING the movie a bit to get those questions, that your mouth just can't shut for, answered and THEN maybe comment on them.. I've seen a lot of reactors and frankly the best ones don't try to analyze every damn thing thru a movie or think that they are smarter than the authors themselves by making these running predictions of what will come or why anything is happening, and though they DO React to the films throughout, they do not just run at the mouth for the sake of running at the mouth, their reactions are genuine and honest in their expressions and comments, and THAT is what makes a good reactor..

If you're watching these movies for the first time, make sure to not ruin your appreciation of them by watching their theatrical versions. Watch Batman v. Superman Ultimate Edition and Zack Snyder's Justice League after this one. You can watch Suicide Squad 2016 but know there's a better version than fans wanna see and that is generally called amongst us fans "The Ayer cut". Hopefully we'll see it some day. You can always watch the theatrical versions of BvS and Justice League 2017 to compare but after those ones.
I actually really liked batman v superman and so liked the longer ultimate version even better. It's hard to give advice about the Justice League movie. With it being made by two completely different directors it literary became Frankin Movie. The Snyder cut justice league movie is good but it is soooooo longer. You either need to put aside an entire day or watch over several days
