Welcome to the third and final video trip report from my recent trip to California! I was fortunate enough to fly on the first ever Airbus A321neo service!
I agree with Herb Fong! Comfort wise, it is better than jetBlue since the engines are significantly quieter. Only downside is limited entertainment options (compared to jetBlue) and lack of complimentary snacks which jetBlue offers.
Old engines sound like 15 year old ones. It's a different option of engines, doesn't mean they're old. In fact, they might be manufactured at the same time. NEO = more expensive.
Great review! Thanks for sharing! The cabin on the A321NEO definitely looks more stunning than the other aircrafts at Virgin America though! Really loved the sound of that engine thrust during takeoff! :D
isaacflyaway thank you for watching! I really really loved the sound of the new engines, especially during takeoff as you mentioned! It's different than any other ones I've heard.
DFW Aviation Yes it is a great aircraft! It has a unique but quieter sound, and I like that a lot, especially when sitting behind the wings the engines can be louder.
Some Alaska Airline Planes are in Terminal 2 but alot are in International Terminal A American Airlines is in Terminal 2 but some American Airline Planes go into Terminal 1 iv'e been on Virgin America Airlines Before also iv'e been in Terminal 2 Before.
What a beautiful aircraft.
This is definitely the BEST domestic service in the US! Would love to try it!
Herb Fong photography Thank you for watching! You have definitely got to try it out!
JeffH737 is this better than jetblue?
Of course way better than Jetblue! Because it's an A321neo not an A321 with old engines!

With Airspace design in A320 family from 2020, it will be even better
Very nice! The NEO is definitely a great aircraft! The sound is quite unique.

Rather apt that you guys should pull up to stand next to a 757 .. which the 321neo lr should replace.
Finally better airlines are being seen in the US: newer planes, better equipped (tv's, usb, internet), etc.
Beautiful view at 54:32
Totrooper72 Yeah I love the view of the National Mall when landing in DCA. Thank you for watching.
Awesome video, I checked Virgin Americas fares to fly on this plane round trip they want around $3000 for 1 person! 😳😬
Jared Wright That's weird. I've seen them for around $480 roundtrip in Main Cabin
there is a Connecter to Terminal 1 in Terminal 2.
The A321NEO is now the only Virgin America aircraft with a mainscreen monitor, which is only used for the #VXSafetyDance and promos.
sad
niiiceee!
OMG Blueprint hehe
Can you gain AAdvantage miles on VA since they are now owned by Alaska airlines.
Not yet. I think you can only earn AAdvantage miles on Alaska operated flights.
Did he say 5dB quieter? Really? Gotta be more than that
